Okay but you kind of predicted two things from Rad. One, HE MOVED TO HIS BROTHERS' CITY (for different reasons of course) and two, he was so willing to let go of the oil rig job.

I waited a couple days to respond to this just because I didn't want anyone to have the episode spoiled lol.

I wasn't expecting the episode to go the way it did but I was screaming when Rad said he was moving there. I know he wanted Frisky to move out west with him, but I loved the idea of all of them living in the same city. The moment Rad said they were staying there, I KNEW Bluey and her family were staying as well. I did cry a lot, though.

I think Rad loves the oil rig, otherwise he wouldn't have worked there as long as he did. From my understanding, a rig is a dangerous job and I can see why Frisky didn't want him to stay there. But as much as Rad may love his job, it seems he acknowledges that it is in fact, just a job. He can get a new one easily. Frisky and his family are much more important to him than the rig.

Also the idea of all the Heeler brothers living in the same city scares me because some of the trouble Bandit and Stripe get into WITHOUT Rad there.

This is my reminder that when looking for his brother at his father's house, Jonathan looked in the trunk of Lonnies car. What the actual fuck happened in the Byers house that Jonathan believed Lonnie would be capable of hurting/killing Will?

Also a reminder that Jonathan faced Lonnie, his abuser, alone for a small chance at finding Will, fought a demogorgon for him, got into a fight with Steve when he said Will deserved what happened to him, and planned his little brother, his best friend in the entire world and the person he loved most funeral alone because he couldn't stand the idea of letting Will down again and letting Will sit in a freezer. And carried the blame of what happened to Will without ever letting Will know because he didn't want his brother to worry about him.

.. after listening to a sound on TikTok, I just imagined little Jonathan and Will in Jonathan's room and Lonnie comes in to go off for a minute, and Jonathan takes it and distracts Will, who doesn't know this isn't okay and that it's not normal, and after Lonnie leaves, Will, quiet as a mouse says how Lonnie always looks so angry, and asks why he always looks at Jonathan angry

Jonathan Byers genuinely loves his little brother so much and I think I relate to him a lot because I'm also the oldest sibling. I'm probably going to be posting A LOT about Jonathan for a bit. Just a fair warning, I'm back on a Stranger Things kick and I have a lot of opinions.

When he and Steve got in the fight, Jonathan tried to walk away. He even managed to get Nancy to walk away from it, but then Steve brought Joyce up. Jonathan got more pissed off, but he walked away. He brought up Lonnie, still got mad but kept walking. The moment Will got brought up, Jonathan stops and he is beyond livid and that is when he fights back. I may get some backlash for this one, but Peg was right in some sesne when she told Nancy only love makes you that stupid and crazy, but it wasn't Jonathan's love for Nancy but rather his love for Will that drove him in that fight. I'm not saying Jonathan doesn't absolutely adore Nancy, because he does, but he was going to walk away until Will got brought up. Jonathan would walk through hellfire for Will, and resort to violence for his sake even though Jonathan despises violence.

Jonathan also wanted to go to the Upside Down to find Will. He didn't care about his safety in the matter, he wanted Will back and that was his only thought. He snapped at Hopper and told him that Will was his brother when Hop told him he couldn't go. So what does Jonathan decide to do? He decides he is going to lure the killer monster to his house to face him (and Nancy, later Steve) to give his mom a better chance at finding Will. Also I think it goes to show you how much Will also loves Jonathan by his excited, relieved "Jonathan" the moment he wakes up at the hospital AND THEN HE ASKS HIM ABOUT HIS HAND. Will had just been through absolute hell and the first thing he does is ask Jonathan if he's okay.

In season 2, there's this moment after Will was possessed that he is laying on the couch unconscious and Jonathan is kneeling beside him, guarding over him while playing with his hair and apologizing and telling Will that he should have been there for him. There's also the moments where Jonathan carried Will so carefully and tried to be gentle with him.

Also, Jonathan's reaction to Will's exorcisim. The sight of his little brother in pain brings Jonathan to tears and he wants to stop it. Nancy and Joyce both have to stop him from ending the entire thing.

Another moment I feel like isn't talked about enough is Jonathan after the hospital fight in season 3. He had the shit beat out of him, and honestly how he was able to walk was beyond me. But even in his injured state, he throws himself in front of Will at the first sign of danger and literally uses himself as Will's shield.

Okay but if argyle is alittle older by a few months and he’s welcomed into the family, he is going to use his ‘oldest’ sibling title over Jonathan to get him to take care of himself. El and Will see a chance for teasing and actual care for Jonathan to get so they hop on the bandwagon with him.

Jonathan looks at Joyce for help, she sips her coffee and says “you heard your brother, go get some rest” he groans about not her joining them too. But honestly it does make him smile abit. His best friend is a goof but also cares so much and he really appreciates it.

Argyle is officially inducted into the family when all four of them end up wrestling over something stupid, probably the remote, and end up tangled with each other. Hop finds them, shakes his head, and walks away.

I am so beyond upset they aren't bringing Argyle back in season 5 but he's always going to be here in my headcanons, I do not care.

One day, Jonathan uses the big brother card to Will and El when Joyce is gone overnight to get them to get some rest. Will is working on something that he won't tell either of them about, but he's literally about to fall over and Jonathan sends him to bed. When Will protests, Jonathan pulls rank as the big brother and sends him off. Argyle is watching the entire time, and proceeds to witness Jonathan send El off to bed. When it is just them, Jonathan rants about how his siblings can forget to take care of themselves, El because she's still learning and Will because he genuinely forgets.

And Argyle knows that there is no one that can replace their big brother in the eyes of Will and El. They adore him, and respect him. But he watches Jonathan go days without sleeping, forgetting to eat, and worrying himself to exhaustion. So, he decides since he is a member of the family now, he's going to pull rank on Jonathan. And after being up for two days, Argyle tells Jonathan to go to bed and when Jonathan is like who tf do you think you are, Argyle pulls the oldest sibling card, completely throwing Jonathan off. Joyce is right there, too, so Jonathan looks to her for backup, and with her coffee in hand, Joyce is like, "you heard him." Will is standing there, shocked, before he busts out laughing and El is just waiting for Jonathan's reaction.

Hopper doesn't know much about Argyle other than the fact Joyce has seemed to adopt him and he's best friends with Jonathan, so he's okay with him. But he is more than confused when he walks in after being back and sees all four of them fighting over the remote, Argyle and Will both jumping on Jonathan while El reaches for it on the other side. Argyle is officially one of them.

The fact everything you listed was just from season 1. Jonathan deserves the world.

More ranting about Jonathan Byers to come, I have a lot of opinions lol. Just not a lot of time at this moment, but after work I will explain my opinions on him in each season and why they need to stop doing the man dirty.
