She can only watch at first as he rapidly breaks down in front of her. The weight of recent events finally crashing down on him like a turbulent storm in the open sea.

Kore was all too familiar with survivors guilt, and how it could destroy you. It nips at your heals, mocking your self worth and makes you constantly doubt yourself. If left alone it will you out from the inside out and leave you to rot as your fester in the guild and pain.

Why did he die?

He was better than you, he had so much to live for.

Why the hell were you the one that gets to live while he died?

Those were words she often heard patients mumble to themselves, all survival victims, and ones she's even uttered to herself when she was a child.

Her hands are steady and firm, like an anchor in a storm she grounds him by pulling him close, dragging him to the floor in front of the statue of Sparda. She cradled him in her arms, a hand at his waist and a the other on his head. Fingers gently comb through his hair as he continued to weep in her arms. Her shirt was likely stained with tears and snot but that didn't matter in the moment. All that mattered was being his anchor and giving him the time to process the pain and loss.

"I didn't know the man that well, not near as long as you have, but he cared about you two more than anything else in this world. If he had to choose between his faith or his family he would choose you any day. Even if it meant the cost of his own life." She didn't know the man very well outside of the times he would come to the clinic to request her to end her relationship with Nero entirely. That she wasn't good enough and that he believed she only saw the young man as a new 'toy'. While his words may have hurt some it brought a sense of relief to the nurse. And it resulted in a strange yet amicable friendship because of the fact that they both shared similar values despite their belief's being so different.

This was a man who was very protective over his family, so of course he would risk dying for them. And he would rest easy knowing his loved ones were safe.

"Of course it means more than just firsts! It's just nice that I get to share a lot firsts with you I think." It makes the memories all the special in her mind. Being able to look back and think of how she shared her first kiss followed by so many firsts with a man she fall for during their night together. It could be considered strange to some, but she was fully content exploring these new feelings with him.

Now that she knew the reason for him having to leave that morning, she didn't feel so upset or heart broken, especially now that they were officially together and going on their first date.

"If you don't normally drink alcohol it might be a bit of a strange adjustment but we'll get other drinks to so don't force yourself to drink it if you find you hate it. It can be an acquired taste for some." It might be because of the way he looked, but she assumed he would be semi familiar with alcohol. She can easily see him flicking open a bottle of beer with a clawed finger before chugging it down. It was to no one's surprise and image she found very attractive in her head.

"Thank you," She lets out a sigh of relief when he reassures her he wouldn't judge her for anything like that. Feeling a little less embarrassed she takes his hand in hers and almost instantly relaxes under the warmth of his hand.

Of course when she feels his hand again her mind is brought back to the many times they held each others hands when they embraced in that hotel room. The hot steamy night was still fresh in her mind but she did her best to push those thoughts down, and instead focus on how safe and warm she felt. Her thumb gently traces various shapes and numbers against the back of his hand as they continued to walk.

Yes she really did miss this feeling, the sensation of feeling safe and at peace. Whatever this feeling was she wasn't going to let it slip her by.

They continued their walk in comfortable silence, passing by Karakura High School and completely unaware of the students gaping at the school nurse who has never been seen with a partner in all her life working there was suddenly hand in hand with a handsome stranger. It was surely going to be the talk of the town soon once word got out. But that didn't bother her. In this moment all she cared about was the man walking beside her.

"Yeah, it really is a lot," Grimmjow didn't mind that all too much though. He listened as she called what they'd already done together as special he wasn't sure what that meant by that. As an Arrancar he wasn't too aware of various human terms or what most of them meant. Six was not just his favorite number but his lucky number. It'd also been his rank among the Espada by his own choice to remain there by acting as if he wasn't as strong as he really was.

He didn't mind the idea of them having more than just 'firsts' together, as he'd already told her he wanted to be with her, 'date' her as the humans called it. Humans were odd and complicated creatures but he was fond of her. He liked Tania and he was drawn to her, too. "I think bein' together means we'll do more than 'firsts' together, Tania." At her comment about spicy sounding good for the broth he'd simply nod rather than interrupt if she was going to say more.

"Sounds like we have a plan then, spicy broth, and then whatever else we wanna add as we eat." He'd never had hotpot before so he was genuinely curious. It also sounded really good the way she talked about it. He supposed he was in for some kind of treat with the food in general. He'd never tried anything sour nor had he tried many sweets but that was beside the point. He was capable of learning about human cuisine.

Did he drink? "I can't say I've ever tried sake before. I don't mind givin' it a try while we enjoy our date." If she said that the drink would pair well with the food he was inclined to believe her since she was a human. Or mostly a human. He wasn't entirely sure but it in the end it didn't matter all that much to him. "We can always get some sake and somethin' else to drink too."

He wouldn't know what she was thinking about. Or how she missed the feeling of his skin against hers. He was warm but that was due to being what he was.

He hadn't been fond of having to take off after that night but he'd been called back home, he'd been needed. He didn't have much of a choice but to leave after having ignored multiple calls for over an hour while he was simply holding her. The inside of the hotel room had been destroyed due to what they'd done the night before. They'd spent hours together. Not many parts of the room hadn't been destroyed in the end.

He didn't really sleep that often. He took naps from time to time, but after they'd finished with one another that night, he'd slept deeply and comfortably. It'd been a new situation for him entirely.

"Hold my hand?" He still had it tucked into his pocket when she asked him if it was alright if she held it. He'd pull his hand out and hold it out for her to take. "I dunno why ya wanna but I don't mind." When she tried to backtrack and explain that she missed his touch but not like THAT before doing so again, saying that she did miss that but then explained that she missed the skin contact he'd chuckle. "Ya don't gotta worry about me judgin' ya for anythin' like that, Tania."

That was basically his way of saying that even if she was thinking about the sex they had and the way he'd touched her that night, he wouldn't judge her.

It wouldn't have sit right with her if she let him sleep on the floor when he had been so grievously injured. "It's fine, I've slept in worse. The injured need a proper place to rest and until you've recovered I don't mind giving my bed to you." It's not like she hasn't slept in uncomfortable spots before, so giving up her bed temporarily wasn't something that she minded.

"It's a 50/50 depending on the boy's mood. If he's that mad about losing to you he might not be willing to listen, especially if he thinks you were trying to kill his friends." The boy was fiercely protective over the people he cares about after all.

Her face nearly burnt to a crisp from how hot it suddenly got from how casual he was about realizing he was naked. Did it not bother him? A part of her wish he did honestly it would at least make her feel a little bit better.

"Ah that makes sense, well that saves me a bit of trouble with explaining my job then." She hums as skilled hands began to wrap around his waist, leaning forward slightly to the point her chest presses against his side for just a moment, as she unwraps the gauze. "The one on your chest should be ok at least but this wound on your back concerns me a bit...." It looked as if a layer of skin had been ripped off like a reverse branding.

"A lot of the minor wounds have seemed to heal up for the most part but that one along with a few other larger wounds might take another day or two based on how you've been recovering so far." Luckily he wasn't human so his innate healing power seemed to pulling through for the most part which was a relief. Once she's removed the old gauze she grabs the wet rag to clean up the old wounds.

"Alright everything up here's done, there um are a few bandages I need to replace on your legs. Is it ok if I continue?" A part of her hoped he would say no and that he could do it himself, after all it was one thing changing his wounds when he was unconscious but having a handsome man, even an Arrancar, stare at her change his wounds while was naked was a bit embarrassing.

"Ya should be in the bed, I'd have been fine on the floor or somethin'," Sure, Grimmjow knew he was injured, but he was used to sleeping in bad shape in various places. Most of them were hard. Like the giant quartz crystals or somewhere else within the vast desert that wasn't soft like a bed.

He knew that Urahara had made a Hōgyoku and that one was eventually fed to the one Aizen made. But he didn't know much else about the man other than that. The Arrancar had a bit of a natural distrust of scientists though. "If I don't go back and they become aware I'm alive they'll think I'm doin' exactly what I plan on doin'." He knew he'd already been replaced as Sexta but that didn't mean he couldn't get his rank back. He was stronger than his replacement.

And who better than an Espada to be an inside man to some extent?

"I shouldn't take too much longer to heal from the wounds I was given." Luckily, he knew Aizen favored him, which was likely why the weaker Arrancar had been given his place. The brunette was planning something and he had a feeling it had to do with that woman 'Orihime'. "I actually don't think Kurosaki will believe my message but ya might. The problem is, I know it's gotta happen."

He knew he'd get sent to keep Ichigo occupied. Which would be good.

If any Hollows did come near her place, he'd simply kill and eat them without hesitation, their flesh would help him heal a bit faster. He healed alright enough but his wasn't super fast or anything like that, it was just a tad faster than normal speed, so he'd likely be good in another day or so.

"Oh, so I'm naked. No wonder it felt a bit cooler than normal." He didn't seem bothered at all by that. He wondered if she'd seen the mess where his tattoo used to lay or not. Either way she was helping him out and since she'd mentioned that she was a nurse, he knew she'd done so due to that. They had nurses in Las Noches, too so he knew what they were. "Yer a nurse I know what that is cause we have one back home."
