First off, thank you! I'm glad you enjoy my profile theme as theming and appearances are very important to me! As vain as it sounds.

Second ogf, it's full understandable not to agree with everything I stand for cause different people's experiences shape how we view the world and what are beliefs are. It's also understandable to have complicated opinions as almost nothing is black and white.

Explaining things is very important to me as I hate people being uneducated as I feel spreading misinformation or not giving the full truth is dangerous as it can lead to a domino effect of misinformation. Also cause it's important to know what it is your stand for exactly, thus to also avoid misinformation and also so you don't accidentally end up supporting something you don't want to be associated with.

Also, I'm glad you told me that while you don't encourage what I do, you still aren't gonna shame or harrass me cause you'd be surprised the amount of grown adults who have harassed me and sent me rape/death threats despite me telling them I'm 15.

hi there, I'm curious as to what profiction, yumeship, paraphile are and mean. I was going to look it up, but I'd rather hear from someone who knows and are those things. Thank you! :)

Okay, so let's start off with a disclaimer. Somethings discussed in this may be uncomfortable. Also, this is gonna be extremely long cause it's all complicated.

Profiction mean you are anti-Censorship and anti-Harrasment over fiction. You don't have to enjoy or even agree with the media, hell you can even be disgusted by the media. Being profiction also follows a 'Don't Like, Don't Read/Look At' mentality.

Yumeship is just shipping yourself with a character. Weither that be self inserting yourself with a pre-existing character, an OC, or just using your persona. Yumeshipping is also known as selfshipping.

Some yumeshippers may be open to sharing, meaning that other people who yumeship with the same character they do can interact. Others may be nonsharing, meaning they don't want people who ship themselves with the same character to interact. Others may be selective sharing, meaning they only want certain people who ship themselves with the same character to interact.

Paraphilias are the most complex to explain. Paraphilias are atypical attraction to things such as objects, animals, ect. Some examples of paraphilas are Somnophilia (Attraction to others while sleeping), Plushophilia (Attraction to Plushies), Zoophilia (Attraction to animals), and Sadism (Attraction to other's pain). Just cause someone has a paraphilia doesn't make them a bad person.

Within this is also contact stances. Being Anti-Contact means you don't act upon your attraction, this is a common stance among people who have zoophilia or other potential harmful, minus sadism which is a complex contact.

Being complex-contact means that they can act on the paraphilia with consent but getting consent for it complex, this is common amongst people with Somnophilia as their partner might consent to having sex sex in their sleep before they fall asleep.

Pro-Contact means they act on their paraphilia, this is common among objectums and other paraphilias that don't bring any form of harm to anyone.

Paraphilias are uncontrollable and don't appear out of nowhere, often they come from trauma or being exposed to content related to their respective paraphilia.

Paraphilia are even sometimes classified as a disorder if they cause clinical stress. However if they don't cause clinical stress, they won't classify as disorders, similar to anxiety. If they do cause stress, than certain types of therapy that can help.

Shaming people for having a paraphilia(s) doesn't do anything good. It only does harm. It can cause a paraphilia that previously not disordered to become disordered. In fact, it can even get to the point that shaming leads to the person self harming or even killing themselves. I don't think I need to explain anymore why shaming is horrible and unnecessary, especially for something uncontrollable.

What's a radqueer? I saw it on your intro post and idk what it is.

Radqueers are people who support all identities which sounds great until you realiza they also support things like TransRace, TransAge, TransDisorder, ect. They also tend to support non-traumagenic systems, which aren't possible with how systems form.

The only good things they support are paraphilias and good faith + Contradicting identities but that should be a standard considering that paraphilias are uncontrollable are good faith + contradicting identities don't hurt any one.

As a victim of CSAM, I have a special hatred for antis who considered fictional children being drawn in sexual situations on the same level as actual victims such as myself. Especially cause they tend to use the terms CP and 'Cheese Pizza' which are both outdated and used as dog whistles for predators. They also act like it's illegal when in reality, it's not most of the time. Or they believe that using CSAM/CSEM is appropriate for the fictional character which is even more disgusting.

Fictional children can't be abused. Fictional children can't be exploited. Fictional children aren't real, I know, shocking. Antis putting fictional children on the same level as actual victims such as myself is extremely disrespectful and tone death. One is a traumatizing and degrading experience and the other is a FUCKING DRAWING.

I tend not to listen to antis when their first interactions with fandom were from TikTok and no where else as TikTok is a very pro-censorship and puritian. You don't even have to be in fandom to know this. The fact they have to censor words like rape, murder, ect in order not to get their video taken down or not allowed to be on the FYP showes how pro-censorship the platform is.

Puritanism is very noticeable in fandoms as they tend to demonize and complain about fan service related to fictional adults. It's also especially noticeable when they're talking about 'gooning' and being a 'gooner'.

I always assume, and am usually right in assuming, that they're gonna use the same recycled arguments that are easily disproved or are complex topics that they can't seem to understand aren't black and white and have a lot of naunce to them.

I think the reason that so many people are pro censorship of fiction is because media literacy is dying. I think one of the biggest examples of this is Lolita. Many people who either lack media literacy or only have opinions based on what other people have told them instead of actually reading the book themselves leading to them believing the book is romanticizing pedophilic relationships and behavior when in reality the book is bringing awareness to how predators tend to think and showing what predators actually are.

When we think of predators as scary with big horns, it tends to make us forget and by proxy makes it hard to comprehend that often times predators are people who you would see and not think much of in real life, maybe even respect and love.

Lolita is supposed to be uncomfortable due to the nature of the book but it isn't supposed to be a 'dark' romance. Books like Lolita are the reason media literacy are so important as without, we miss the entire message of the book.
