hey I noticed that you havent written a lot for protocol and i really enjoy your writing, are you planning on writing for it like you did for archives or is alex gonna be in charge for most of it

So, in each of the three seasons I've got the writing credit for between 7-10 episodes. That means these are the episodes that I sat down and wrote from scratch, and they tend to be the bigger, more pivotal ones (season openers/finales, the episodes before a mid-season breaks, etc.) so in the mid-season you're likely to hear my name less in the "Written by" section, especially as that's also when a lot of the guest writers are doing their thing.

However, I've done extensive edits on each and every episode (as Alex has on the episodes "Written by" me), so believe me when I say my voice and writing is very much present even in those episodes where I don't have the explicit writing credit.

The overall story is also something that's almost exactly 50/50 between me and Alex. At least, that's my best guess - if you watched one of our planning sessions there's so much back and forth and running with each other's ideas that it's pretty much impossible to determine which idea or story beat was whose originally. And to be fair, that's how the season planning tended to go with Archives as well, it's just that I was the one that went away and wrote all of it.

So yeah, it's not quite as much a direct stream of "what's in Jonny's brain this week" as Archives was, but believe me when I say it's just as much my show.
