RAPHAEL by T-Michael and Ralph Vaessen 

Finding the motivation to continuously bend boundaries and push oneself further is one of the ultimate life challenges. The ability to explore what drives you and how to keep that inner momentum going to evolve on different levels, is something most people spend a lifetime striving to achieve, myself included. On this note, T-Michael has proven to be one of the most inspiring individuals I’ve had the pleasure of meeting: the bespoke tailor is constantly delving into new projects and collaborations that enable him to develop his creative self. 

As great minds think alike, this time around he teamed up with none other than renowned designer Ralph Vaessen to create the ultimate pair of sunglasses - RAPHAEL. Two distinct universes come together through mutual admiration and shared love for creativity, craftsmanship and of course, refined taste. This capsule collection fully embodies the simplistic, yet detail-obssessed nature of their creations, delivering a uniquely crafted pair of sunglasses for the lovers of devilish detailing. Handmade in Germany by master artisans using natural horn, each pair is unique, portraying the uncanny organic beauty of horn, in all its subtle shades and hues. Raphael comes in 4 color ways: ivory, slate grey, ebony and chocolate.

The capsule collection will be presented at Pitti Uomo 88, during the Alternative Set taking place at the Taste Lounge on June 17th, 3:30pm. Besides launching the collection itself, Ralph and Michael will be publicly screening the film “Obscure Mirage” and yours truly will be there to officially document the event. Stay tuned!
