Me: Masks are not their celebrities, they're their own characters, just like how voice actors are not the characters they voice. While a celebrity might have given a mask life for a little while, they're, ultimately, fictional.

Queen Cobra redesign!

So the new masks are something else. Ngl, Queen Cobra is one of my least favorite because there was a lot of potential that could've been done for it but just wasted. So I made my own redesign ideas on what I think would be more creative. pls note that I'm not trying to say that I can do better, I just wanted to draw some snake queen costume

So when I first think cobra I think of Egyptian clothing like Cleopatra, Nefertiti, etc. So I look up if King Cobras (which is what I assumed was the inspiration for Queen Cobra), and apparently King Cobras don't live in Egypt but can be found in Northern India, east to southern China, and other places. Northern India stood out to me. I look up traditional Indian clothing and then Indian royalty clothing. I later sketched out this piece here!

It was a rough of what I wanted to do and something similar to it. I wanted to bring some of the Indian culture to the design. One of the things I also wanted to accomplish is to make it look like it could be a costume you can create and wear. The final sketches show that.

I tried to copy the look that the pose that the og costume had. As well as the human anatomy but it's not as similar to the other. I added a few more things compared to the sketch. I used the weird design that the og costume to the dress. (fyi: that weird snake or mummy wrap looking design on the suit.) Honestly, I don't think I gave this more justice than it deserves. I wanted to bring more Indian clothing and designs to the costumes. I may do a part two where I play more with the designs. But regardless, here's the end result. Hope y'all like it!

Once upon a time, like a million years ago, @chameleoncove requested that I draw Banana Split from season 6 on my TMS sideblog. That's a blog I no longer operate, and therefore a request I never fulfilled. But I felt bad about it when I deleted the blog, and I promised I would still draw those two someday and post it here.

And now today, "someday" has finally come! I hope they're to your liking Chameleon.

Didn't really intend to go in so hard on redesigning their outfits... I just kind of wondered what it would look like if they both had elements of "banana" and "sundae" in their designs, and things only evolved from there. I think they look pretty good, though ^^
