Ok, so far I've enjoyed, however, it switches up very fast from a deeply thought out and rehearsed poem, and then spins you around and slaps you in the face with something dumb like the fuckboy emoji paired with something about time being inescapable and everlasting but I am loving the vibes so far

Yes! I run an acnh Insta account and a lot of people I know have perfect islands and I felt really pressured to have a good island, but when I just did what I thought looked nice or I just did tasks I liked I've been having a lot more fun, and my island looks better. I'm really glad I kept at it and have developed this mindset!

I’m slowly getting back into acnh. 

My advice for playing it, especially if you are as burntout as I was, is ignore what others are doing. Play at your own pace. Do what you want to do. 

Want to fish? Just fish. That’s it. That’s all you do for the day.

Same if you just want to garden, to catch bugs, to shop, collect shells. Don’t feel like you have to complete a checklist every day.

Time travel, get help from friends, just talk to villagers - do whatever you want to do with your island!

It doesn’t have to be social media worthy, it just has to be what you want. 

Take all the time you need for it too. Landscape in bits and pieces as to not overwhelm, flit between tasks and areas, don’t lock yourself in. 

And most importantly: It’s your game; never be afraid to play how you want to play.
