Just started listening to Malevolent and it seems like John is probably the king in yellow or at least related to him??? They keep talking about how something other than what they were trying to summon came through (presumably the king in yellow) and then was bound somehow which seems like it lines up with John coming through and being trapped in the book?

Plus in the og king in yellow stories people go insane from reading the play "the king in yellow" which seems to me like it lines up with arthur reading the book and then a whole guy showing up in his head???
