when the deeper you go into its body, the more that, slowly, the cold rooms get warmer. humid. the more little fragments of walls and floors and scaffolding seem not to be made of wood or brick or metal ... but of flesh. and you try to turn back, but the way you came has vanished. and every new room you enter gets hotter. more humid. the air turns heavy. the floor is red and organic, and squishes under your feet. the walls are too. when it stops being a building you're trudging lost through, and starts being a stomach. a stomach of something incomprehensible. of something that loves you so much, it won't let you go.

(On that note their gut is gross. Like - Half-digested meats and half chewed bones all gunked with chyme and slop and that's before your body's gone and gotten cramped in there.

Vampire pred who's elegant about the whole thing. Oh yes they're not your typical predator, looking as feeble or small as a normal human, but they'll butter you up, tell you how delectable your smell is, how badly they need to unwrap you, sink their teeth in there, let their gut slowly churn away at a nice, juicy meal. (Vampire pred eating tinies like fruit gushers. That is all.)

Mermaid preds who operate under the blue-whale school of evolution. Mermaid preds who grow massive, who can keep growing so long as they keep aging. Mermaid preds that are whispered about in the dead of night at the sailors pub. A ship the size of a skyscraper went missing in the North Atlantic one night and all that could be seen in its wake were bubble the size of cars foaming up at the surface the next day. like. pred puts a tiny prey into a water bottle and then starts chugging it.. the prey is quickly scrambling to grab hold of the side of the bottle as the container tips more and more and the water level falls more and more around them.

They can hear the Loud GLP-GLP-GLP-GLP sound juuust beneath them of the pred greedily swallowing down gulps of water or watever drink was put in there, and the prey knows that if they don't find a way out of there Fast they're gonna be sent down just like that, but the only way out of their plastic prison is completely blocked by the pred's mouth..

maybe they even forget their imminent danger for just a second, watching through the clear plastic entranced at the pred's giant throat bobbing, they can see each gulp go down..

but of course, they prey is immediately reminded of the Danger of their situation when the pred tips the bottle further and they start slipping-

maybe they thought this was just a dumb little prank or bluff by the pred, that the pred was gonna drink like half the bottle and have their fun and then let the prey out but- they're not stopping- they aren't even slowing down- and the bottle keeps tipping further- and the water is almost gone- and the prey is slipping and and no no no no no wait stop stop STOP-

and then- GULP! the bottle is completely empty 😊
