as a kpop stan, watching kpop demon hunters genuinely pissed me off, for a few reasons.

DISCLAIMER : I UNDERSTAND KPOP DEMON HUNTERS IS A FICTIONAL MOVIE MADE FOR KIDS!!!! I CAN STILL HAVE OPINIONS AND FEELINGS ABT IT!!!!! also possible spoilers ahead

1. huntr/x is more popular than twice?....

- the polls around the beginning of the movie show huntr/x as the biggest kpop girl group (at least im assuming its ggs). they are above twice by A LOT. if i had to guess huntr/x wouldve had ~%70-%80 while twice had maybe %20. what.

2. LINE DISTRIBUTION.

- the line distribution of the huntr/x so bad. why does rumi sing half of the songs??? its huntr/x not rumi and friends. i was watching line distribution videos (which dont include harmonies) and in golden rumi has over 2 MINUTES WORTH OF LINES and zoey has 9 SECONDS???????? WHAT KIND OF BS IS THAT. if huntr/x was a real group they would face so much backlash for their unfair line distribution.

3. huntr/x getting close with saja boys

- as much as i hate the whole "male and female idols cant interact" thing within the kpop industry/community cause it will "look like their dating" or "make fans jealous", huntr/x would NOT be able to interact with saja boys in the way they do. yes its like a "oh em gee theyre so in love!!" moment for fans, reputation wise its not great. they WILL face backlash, both groups.

4. rumi having "tattoos"

- while yes, they arent actually tattoos, regular people dont know that. she would get torn to shreds for having tattoos. most idols face extreme backlash for having tattoos.

5. miras personality

- mira is MEAN. shes rude, and doesnt even try in front of fans. ik that doesnt seem like a bad thing, but if ur a kpop idol and ur rude to fans people are gonna hate u, its inevitable.

6. zoeys personality

- some may think shes like the ideal kpop idol but she would definitely not be. she WOULD be called a pick me by fans. shes a people pleaser, and when ur a kpop idol thats a problem. its the wonyoung situation all over again.

7. saja boys not having a proper debut

- saja boys literally debuted by singing soda pop on the street... what?... thats NOT how debuting a group works. they popped up out of nowhere and suddenly have hundreds of thousands of fans?????

8. saja boys getting into an award show right after debuting

- saja boys literally debuted and almost immediately took part in an award show, like a few days. now, i may be wrong since the timeline of kpop demon hunters SUCKS and u never know whats going on, but they should not have been in the idol awards THAT early into their debut.

9. huntr/x being late to their own show

- self explanatory

10. huntr/x and their diet

- now, i DO NOT AGREE WITH THE TOXIC DIET CULTURE OF THE KPOP INDUSTRY, but cmon. the amount they ate literally MINUTES before a show woukd not have been acceptable.

11. huntr/x canceled a show 10 minutes before it happened

- self explanatory i think

12. takedown being a saja boys diss track

- diss tracks are NOT taken lightly in the kpop community. people are ruthless if they think their faves are being dissed in a song. they would probably be forced to apologize and then take the song down.

some other things that i just didnt like were:

- baby saja literally acting like a baby

- boring concepts

- literally no style changes

- some songs sound like existing songs

- the whole miromabby thing (THAT GIRL WAS UNINTERESTED!!!!)

- the saja boys names (romance?... abby cause of his abs?... mystery?...... baby?.... cmon man)

- NO OME IN THE GIANT CROWD AT THE END REACTED TO ANYTHING?....

- their faces.... the ones they make when its trying to be "funny"
