do u think katara and sokka ever coordinate their little outfits. like what if one day katara wants to try out a darker shade of blue bc she thinks she’d look cute in navy but sokka’s like “no katara we talked about this. I always wear the darker outfit no matter what to represent that I am the more cynical and jaded sibling and you wear the lighter shade of blue because your heart is pure and full of light. god katara it’s like you don’t even understand basic color symbolism. smh katara 🙄🙄”

i feel like i see a lot of zukka posts about sokka flirting with zuko and zuko not picking up on it (because he's autistic and/or has trouble believing someone would be into him) and while of course it makes sense for zuko to be oblivious it's kinda funny that people are depicting sokka actively pursuing zuko when if there IS any zukka in canon it's zuko seeing a cute boy going on a reckless quest and IMMEDIATELY being ride-or-die. like he smirks and shows off his fire-breathing and sokka's just like "okay yay he helped with the plan" completely unaware bc he's focused on the mission and also suki. sokka tells suki to go escape bc she's been there longer and she says she'll stay with sokka and it's a sweet couple moment and then zuko pipes up "i'm staying too" like yes i am also with sokka :) even though he was literally the one who convinced sokka to stay and look for hakoda so him staying wasn't really in question. like the whole episode he is trying to be super supportive to sokka and maybe make some small attempts to flirt and meanwhile sokka's mostly just thinking "i'm a worthless piece of shit who got my father in prison" "omg suki!!!!" "hmmm how do we escape?" "omg dad!!!!" "hmmm how do we escape (again)?" and zuko is barely in there at all (except maybe as part of the escape plan)

today i’m sad about that one line from the creator’s commetary about how zuko is a tsungi horn prodigy and the little letter zuko, aged 7, sends iroh in “legacy of the fire nation” where he very politely requests that iroh come home and teach him pai sho tricks, because that casts such a different light on their interactions in book one.  it was never iroh trying to push his own favorite things - pai sho and music night - on an uninterested zuko, it was iroh desperately trying to reconnect with zuko by recreating the activities he knows zuko used to enjoy.  zuko, aged 7, once begged iroh to come home and play board games with him and now zuko wants nothing to do with him and you know that eats iroh up alive

It’s funny how Eda is like “I’m not maternal” and then thinks her kids are leaving so she goes on a suicide mission and they only stop because Raine realizes that Eda is being self-destructive and has a family who needs her?? She calls her adoptive eight year old son her roommate for a long time because she feels uncomfortable with the concept of people needing her??? She doesn’t talk to her dad for decades bc of this. She doesn’t think she’s a good person but whenever push comes to shove Eda is an adult that the kids can rely on, she’s jokey but when she has to be serious she’s fucking serious.

Raine broke up with Eda because she was uncomfortable with intimacy/ sharing her life with Raine which made their relationship one sided and Eda kept driving herself into self destructive behavior. Eda says stuff like “I’m a bad person and everyone should leave me because I’m gonna hurt them” and then she is repeatedly a good person who is pretty reliable and well-liked by her friends, she just pretends that’s not true like Perry feels comfortable letting Gus stay at Eda’s place even tho Eda is a wanted criminal, Darius felt that Eda should be involved in the rebellion, the Bat Queen trusted Eda to babysit her… kids??, like PEOPLE LIKE YOU EDA ??
