You already remember that I made Angie’s different uniforms in Thailand before.. So I drew Derek and Angie together! Of course, it’s my heritage to draw anything related to Thai that is not cultural outfits in general. In this case, we have them in Thai hospital uniforms!

Also, you are free to draw my designs or take inspirations, as long you credit me! /info

I put flags for them, because non-Japanese players needs to know their heritages that is not from American localization.

To be fair, Masayuki Doi's art style can be difficult and challenging to incorporate his art style, especially facial part and smaller eyes for more human-like proportion... Well, the way I sketched her look like more cat-like features than human-like features to me. Out of all, this is my personal favorite "DRAW FANART OF A CHARACTER", compared to last year I did. The way I how drew look more closer to canon design is not bad to me, she still look pretty good to me. I personally doing dislike shading (except OSC assets). 🥲💀 And before anyone ask, no. My Angie's design (right panel) doesn't have jaundice, it's actually her tan from sunlight! 😭😭😭

I didn't know they appeared as the NPCs in Trauma Center: New Blood, especially I watched gameplay for the first time ever, back when I got into Trauma Center while watching gameplay on YouTube. I think Derek already look fine, but I also tweaked his design. I think I might have inconsistent art style for his design? In my opinion, Angie's older design in 2028/NB looks more like flight attendant/stewardess than nurse herself. Granted, she is wearing a fancy casual attire. I would say her short hairstyle resembled her maturity more. I just a put little makeup for her and comes without makeup variation. Also, if you notice her design carefully, she has a healthy weight gain for self-projecting. The pattern in her outfit is little bit messy, that's why I tweaked her outfit to look more better in my eyes. Angie doesn't have her favorite color, but she can wear anything what she wants! Okay, who is ready to get box of tissues, if I make them as 50s in my own interpretation? 🥲

BTW, I didn’t notice coloring of Angie’s gold buttons clashing her skin tone, so please don’t mind for that! I will try to adjust later in the future drawings. 😭😭😭

Probably not much change, but I made his glasses more bigger and healthy melanin(?) 💀 Let's not forget, dark circles under the eyes because doctor is a stressful job 😭 I'm going to be honest, I don't know much Thai male nurses and how does nurse uniforms works for them.. Not going to lie, Derek looks more like a nurse than a doctor himself. I repeat, I'm actually Thai and I don't know Thai nurse uniforms in general a lot, due to crappy language barrier. 🥲

Sure, everyone loves to draw certain characters in Thai School AU or Thai University AU... But what about Thai Hospital AU, as I think Trauma Center would be fitting, since my mom also works as a practical nurse with a shift work? Not going to lie, I have to always rely to use Angie as a placeholder model for Thai nurse uniforms. Yes, there are different variations of Thai nurse uniforms... So please do not ask me for differences, I don't have much medical knowledge about Thai healthcare and it's not even cheap at all. 🥲 To be honest, I personally don't like Under the Knife 2 palette in Thai nurse uniform design, which is my least fave. She looks like a more sailor than a nurse herself. 💀 I want to draw Derek in my style, but I'm trying not to self-projecting him too much. Probably not in my area to do sketch. 😭 This is actually my self-challenge, where you have to draw Angie in nurse uniform from your country that is not a hospital scrub(s).

Yes, same VA in the Japanese! I personally don't care if my new interest came from very old game from almost 20 years ago, but I want to give more attention for non-RPG Atlus games in general. /lh /info To be brutally honest, I don't post much Genshin Impact content, since fandoms from Twitter and TikTok are toxic (not generalizing everyone, just based on my experience). Which is why I mainly focus on OSC and HTF fanworks more (I used to have Genshin Impact phase in 2020-2024, before OSC took over it). But I will draw Genshin Impact fanworks depending on my mood... Angie Redesign

My first Trauma Center fanwork? Well, it's not much detailed compared to other arts, since they are working for healthcare according to the game lore. It would be exhausting to draw full design, so I drew her for half-body instead. Thanks to hyperfixating with Trauma Center for more than 2 weeks, even though fandom is a small and quiet, this game is not much popular compared to Shin Megami Tensei and Persona. Even though all of 3 games mentioned are made by ATLUS. 😭 Mandatory hairstyle? Made her wearing a bun instead of ponytail, which would be rather impractical to assist with surgeon. Most of countries such as Thailand have nurses wearing a bun. As Thailand mentioned, I put Thai Nurse uniform for a placeholder... There are different variations of Thai nurse uniforms from professional/licensed and medical university. Also gave her a healthy tan skin tone, which is also an easter egg from her beach outfit. One thing, I should have clarified that Angie is actually Wasian (Japanese + German), but they made her completely American due to game localization. 💀

How it feels to hyperfixate a new interest, even though it's actually 10+ year old media and the fandom is still quiet 🥲

Unfortunately, Angie's SA-coding in the backstory is not talked much and ignored in the fandom. However, thanks to one of my friends for sensitivity reading and helped me for analyzing SA-coding better. Without their help and giving courage, I am unable to do Angie's SA-coding for character analysis. Anyways, let's scroll down.

Do you know what this shit is actually about? I asked to one of my friends and I said "Do you think her CSA-coding can be argued or not?". Then my friend said: "Yes."

According to one of my friends, Angie being forced to be put for "incubator" is a metaphorical for a "forceful impregnation", which is unfortunately happens to some CSA survivors... This would means that Angie was going to be through CSA and forceful impregnation at 8 despite non-sexual nature in metaphorical way. Don't you believe it? Here is Angie's character age in UtK/SO.

Did I forget to mention not just Angie's BPD-coding major risk factor was caused by parental separation and raised by single mother? Yes, she is still coded for both CSA and SA survivor metaphorically, despite it's attempted for both according to the narratives.

And for those who finished reading, I apologize to every readers, who are curious about her backstory. But you have to realize how fucked up is Angie's traumatic childhood backstory. Too bad, you won't be surviving for Japanese dialogues of UtK2 Chapter 6-5... I can explain UtK2 later if anyone is interested. Now I understand why they won't bother to use sympathy on Angie's traumatic backstory in the fandom, all because of the infamous UtK/SO Chapter 2-7. I don't see anyone talking about her backstory in the fandom. She deserved a justice, especially how she got treated in the fandom. You need an patience, empathy and sympathy to read character's dialogues and analyzing better, not rushing it. In fact, she doesn't need to be more "interesting". Trauma Center Fandom try not to demonize Angie’s BPD-coding, and being ableist and sanist towards her (CHALLENGE IMPOSSIBLE)

Reminder to everyone in Trauma Center fandom. In Japanese translation, Angie did not tell a patient to end life in UtK/SO 2-7. Angie's personality is not same in Japanese and English translations. Yes, Atlus is subsidiary of SEGA, which is known for localization and changing character's personality. I have to rant this, since Trauma Center is more widely known outside Japan for marketing. Please don't jump to conclusion and look at the differences with red underlines. Use your patience and empathy for character understanding, before you judge her action.

Do note that in Japanese translation for at the end of dialogue. She didn't told a patient to end her life. Yes, her toning "Then why don't you just die?" can be concerning, but what she said isn't a sweet. But sometimes when you devote yourself to helping people, you will have bouts like this where you just snap and go your own way. It doesn't make the hurt for either party go away. In the end, Angie is still a human with flaws and she is an emotional like us. Aside her BPD-coding, she can be coming off insensitive despite no malicious intentions and she can be also arguably coded to be neurodivergent character. BPD is also part of neurodiversity. In English dialogues, she is actually splitting herself. When someone is splitting, they will say things that they don't truly mean it's real. Like think such as someone with intrusive thoughts. This is an isolated incident for Angie. No, Angie is not going to around and telling all her patients to kick the bucket. The patient didn't end her life, thankfully. Do you want to know how Linda's reacts to Angie's isolated incident? Here. Look at the comparison in English and Japanese dialogues carefully.

In Japanese dialogue, Angie doesn't actually hate her, Linda understood that her despite she is not mentally doing well. In English dialogue, it's self-defeatism. Do note that in Japanese dialogue, she doesn't mention for Angie hating her. She said it's normal to get angry. It's true that Angie snapping out at patient is not good idea, but Angie can't control her flaws. I don't think Angie hates a patient, she just snapped out. Angie is stressed and she can't control her actions without having to snap out. Angie is still BPD-coded character. She is meant to be written to be Tsundere in the Japanese, but the writers for English localization made her to have well-written BPD-coding despite indirectly. But that doesn't stop us for having Angie being BPD-coded character. She is still BPD-coded character in both Japanese and English. Angie is flawed character, of course. She is not a perfect angel. Angie's flaws represents her disability and trauma that she can't control herself, but she is trying her best to improve. Removing Angie's flaws is removing her disability and trauma. Angie's flaws can also helped us to relate as well. Now, do you understand what I'm saying for debunk? Angie is not actually hated for "telling a patient to end life" in the fandom. It's a mischaracterization of her. They actually jumped to conclusion and demonized her without using empathy to understand a character's actions. But in reality coming from my perspective... Angie. Is. Actually. A. Victim. Of. An. Ableism. And. An. Sanism. In. The. Fandom. For. 20. Years. Angie. Is. Demonized. For. Being. A. BPD-coded. Character. And. It's. Unfortunately. Happens. In. The. Every. Fandoms. She. Is. The. Most. Poorly. Misunderstood. Character. In. The. Fandom. Stop demonizing BPD-coded characters for actions that they can't control themselves. Especially demonizing her Splitting that she can't even control herself. She is a fictional character, but demonizing BPD-coded characters, can hurt also real people with BPD and our actions can affect the reality. This is coming from someone who is also suspecting to have undiagnosed BPD, even I am also friends with BPD including my irl friend. Angie is not going to tell you to "kys" at you. You can't erase her BPD-coding, because her flaws still plays for a lore inthe plot. Please stop using "but angie told a patient to kys" as a single trait and as an excuse to demonize Angie and her BPD-coding that she can't control herself. No matter how much you dislike her, but demonizing her is not even okay. My anger with Angie's treatment (such as ableism and sanism) in the fandom is justified. She is actually well-written BPD-coded rep to me and my BPD friends, but the fandom is too immature to understand her better. /srs /info
