Have you ever thought of trying your hand at writing a DuckTales fic?

I have! There is one au in particular I thought of that inspired me enough that i may write it, i just would have to flesh it out more.

In case I never get around to it, the premise is basically that one of the triplets steps into a fairy ring by accident while out and about on his lonesome. He gets suspicous immediately and runs outta there but the damage is done. He gets home as fast as he can and... its been years. Everyone else is all grown up.

Obviously they never stopped looking for him, since della ended up surviving for a decade, but because of the time dilation they never found him. Once he comes back, scrooge actually insists theres nothing to be done, since he was never technically displaced from time trying to "send him back" would potentially cause major timeline dysfunction.

The boys and webby dont accept this, and make a plan to make it so they grow up together anyways, on their own.

Thats all i got so far! I think that id lean towards louie being the one that gets stuck, just so i could use the fact he was already technically the youngest in the title or something.

Its just a very tragic concept, i think, having your family grow up without you! ESPECIALLY your triplets! Even without the grieving part, to go from your brothers being with you for everything to being completely out of your age group? So sad!

Long story short, yes, potentially!

Duckverse June Week 3: Dreams

Dreams. They’re never quite as they seem (to paraphrase The Cranberries). And on that note, I give you…

In Your Dreams

It was another busy day at the Money Bin’s underwater laboratory. While Gyro, Fenton, and Gandra were all working on their own projects, Huey and Boyd were hard at work studying. Gyro was due to give them a test in two days. On this day, however, Webby had joined them in their study session. After they were done, they compared notes.

“Okay,” reviewed Boyd. “So even though it’s often called H₂O, the formal scientific name for water is dihydrogen monoxide.”

“Out of all the element groups,” continued Webby, “noble gases are the only one that cannot bond with any other elements.”

“Let’s see…” Huey added. “…and of the transition metals, the one with the lowest atomic weight is scandium.”

“Guys,” Webby reported, “I think we’re ready for that test.”

“So do I!” Boyd agreed. “You guys want to take a break?” Huey and Webby were fine with it.

“So, what have you guys been doing in the lab recently?” asked Webby.

“Lots of stuff!” Huey replied. “I’ve been helping Fenton fine-tune the Gizmoduck armor’s weapons.”

“This I think you’d be interested in, Webby,” Boyd continued. “Dad and I are working on a machine that analyzes people’s dreams.”

Boyd was right. Webby was interested.

“Ooh, I love it!” she squealed. “We once traveled through everyone’s dreams at our first big group sleepover.”

“It…did not go that smoothly for me,” noted Huey. “But I’d love to check it out, too.”

“Dad, can Huey and I show Webby the dream analyzer?” Boyd asked.

“Yes, but be careful,” Gyro, carefully screwing a battery cover back into place with a tiny screwdriver, replied.

“Great! Thanks, Dad!” So the three kids made their way from the table in the back of the lab, where they were studying, to one of the side rooms, where the dream analyzer was.

“Ooh, it’s big,” Webby said.

“It sort of works like an MRI machine,” explained Boyd. “Whoever is being analyzed lies down here, and then it takes a couple minutes before their dreams show up on this screen.”

“That’s cool!” Webby replied. “Is there any way that this machine can actually allow people to enter others’ dreams?”

“Not really, no,” Boyd answered.

Huey noticed Webby fiddling with her friendship bracelet. “Webby,” he asked cautiously, “what are you thinking?”

“Maybe there’s actually a way that we could enter one of our dreams?” Webby sheepishly suggested.

“If we’re trying that, can we do mine?” Boyd asked. “You guys have already had yours visited, which are…?”

“Being Dad, which, you know…foreshadowing,” answered Webby.

“Having extremely long limbs,” put in Huey.

“…those,” finished Boyd. “I’d love for you guys to check out mine.”

“Of course,” Huey smiled.

“Absolutely fair,” reasoned Webby. “I’ve always wondered what your dreams are like. Not in a creepy way or anything, though.”

“But how would you guys be able to get into my dreams?” puzzled Boyd.

“I think we could pull it off using our friendship bracelets and Dr. Gearloose’s technology,” Webby explained. “Obviously, Lena’s magic is super strong, which explains why we can do what we do with the bracelets. But since she’s not here, we need to find a way to power the bracelets the rest of the way.”

“Well, luckily, I have mine on hand,” said Huey, rummaging through his cap until he extracted his friendship bracelet.

“So do I!” added Boyd, pulling his out of his pocket. Both boys then proceeded to put theirs on.

“Are you ready, Boyd?” Huey asked.

“Yep!” Boyd then laid down in the machine. He, Huey, and Webby, concentrating hard, put their corresponding wrists near to each other’s. Boyd closed his eyes, drifting off to sleep.

“Huey!” Webby exclaimed. “I think it worked!”

Huey and Webby were now standing in a blank white void. They could see Boyd up ahead, and raced towards him.

“Hi, guys!” Boyd chirped. “What do you think?”

“I’m not sure yet,” Huey replied. “But your dreams certainly have a lot of stairs in them, Boyd.”

“Yeah, when are we going to get to the top?” Webby wondered.

“Oh, that’s part of it,” Boyd answered.

“What is?” Huey asked. Then he looked around him, and shouted in alarm. They were walking on a different plane of gravity. In addition to the plane they were now on, there were two others.

“Wait!” Webby exclaimed. “This is a lithograph!”

“Ah, looks like it’s Relativity by M.C. Escher,” recalled Huey.

“My dreams take a look at the complexities of life and creativity,” Boyd explained. “In other words, a lot of art! The Drakes actually got me into it when I lived with them, and then it continued with Dad. I think art is beautiful, because it can have so many meanings. It has a lot of flexibility to it, like me.”

“Of course,” Webby gasped. “When we went through everyone’s dreams, there was often deeper meaning towards it! Like Dewey’s blob love interest, or my desire to be Dad, or Lena’s-well, everything.”

“As long as I know what exactly we’re getting into,” Huey reasoned. “I’ll be fine. I’d love to see more, Boyd.”

The best the kids could guess, they were now in some sort of desert.

“Anyone have the time?” Webby joked.

Huey noticed a few flaccid-looking pocket watches lying in front of them. “That must mean-“

“-we’re in The Persistence of Memory!” Boyd finished. “A classic ode to the relativity of time.”

“This is so cool!” Webby cried out. She put a hand out to the watch hanging over a dead branch. “I’vealwayswantedtotrysomethinglikethis!”

“What?” Huey asked.

“IsaidI’vealwayswantedtotrysomethinglikethis,” Webby repeated. “OhmygoshwhyamIspeakingsoquickly?!” She dramatically put her hands to her head. “How am I going to-wait. I’m speaking normally again. Which must mean-“ She reached her hand back out to the watch, and pulled it back again, repeating this a few times. “Fast. Normal. Fast. Normal. Fast. Normal.”

“The pocket watches must affect the speed of time whenever people touch them!” decided Boyd.

“Very interesting,” Huey noted, leaning on a random platform. “The…question…is…how…does…that…work?”

“Huey, I think you’re touching that watch right there,” remarked Webby.

“That…must…mean…that…this…watch…slows…down…time…when…touched…in…contrast to the other one,” Huey gradually spat out, eventually removing his hand. “Weird.”

“What’s this right here?” Boyd asked, gesturing to a figure lying on the ground. “I’ve never been able to figure it out.”

“Some say that it’s Dalí’s self-portrait,” Huey suggested. Boyd and Webby nodded in deep thought.

“There’s a mountain path over there!” Webby exclaimed.

“It’s surrounded by water, though,” Huey pointed out. “Which, to the painting’s credit, is a surreal thing to see in the desert. Boyd, could you fly us over?”

“Sure thing!” Boyd replied. Huey got onto his back, Webby grabbed his hands, and they were off.

Once they made it to the base of the mountain, the three kids began hiking upwards, beyond where the painting took the casual viewer. Eventually, they reached the end of the trail, where they found a floating letter L. They jumped to it, wondering what it could be.

Further down, there was a slanted letter O. Webby realized what this was now.

“This is Love!” she called out. “By Robert Indiana!”

“But why are the letters so far apart, though?” Huey asked as they leapt down to O.

“Of all the pieces I’ve seen,” Boyd explained, “I would say that Love means the most to me. It’s such a simple, straightforward statue, yet so evocative. It may be only four letters long-“ The kids continued, leaping down to V. “-but the way that Mr. Indiana presented it is so bold, conveying the power of the word. It mirrors just how important love is to me. Both of my family, and of my friends.” He reached out to grab both Huey and Webby’s hands, and they leapt down to E together. “The way the letters are structured here symbolizes that it can be a hard thing to attain, but it’s all set up rather beautifully in the end.” Huey, Webby, and Boyd were now standing in front of a completed replica of Love.

“That’s beautifully put,” Huey remarked.

“Awww,” Webby gushed. “We love you, Boyd.”

“I love you guys, too,” said Boyd. “Now to get to the top of the statue.”

“I have my grappling gun!” Webby exclaimed, pulling the implement off of her hip. She aimed for the top of the O, and connected with one shot. Huey grabbed onto her hand, Boyd grabbed onto Huey’s, and together, they zipped towards the top of the statue, intent to cap off their adventure.

Only it didn’t turn out how they planned.

Boyd’s eyes shot open.

“Huey! Webby!” he shouted.

“Yeah?” Huey asked.

Boyd’s head shot over, then he laughed, hugging them in relief. “For a second, I thought you guys were stuck in my mind.”

“I think we accidentally dipped into the center of the O a little bit,” Webby figured. “The O being our portal back out.”

“That was…a bit of an anticlimactic ending,” humphed Huey.

“But I enjoyed doing all that with you guys!” Boyd countered.

“What the heck, I did, too,” agreed Huey.

“Me three!” finished Webby. “And now I have new findings to write down about the usage of magic!”

Boyd nodded. “It’s going to be a lot to explain to Dad, though.”

So, @carabcod000, when you said the kids I imagine you mean, the 10 kids. That's the main reason I had this request on pause for so long.

But, if I'm answering right now, is because is done...

It was easier to do them in groups. Hope you liked it.

Episode posters inspired by the Zoom playhouse segments from the Zoom Tv series that I think would be fun to watch. In the end after watching two of these segments I combined them with my fairy tale au since they'd go so well together.

First of all, love the outfit you gave her!

Second, my favorite thing about her is how versatile she is as a character. Like, the fact that she can be a total badass without sacrificing her femininity. Her Socially Awkward Hero tendencies also really ground her as a character and make her even more relatable to the viewer.

Duckburg Realistic Map ( and my handwriting reveal )

A while ago @queer-in-a-cornfield made a post talking about how he writes Duckburg as a walkable city …

when I saw that post, I asked myself the question, what about making a realistic duckburg ?

So of course I tried making a realistic duckburg ( after reading like 240 pages of urban planning codes and other stuff )

My version of Duckburg is similar to the ducktales canon Duckburg, but with a lot of sprawling suburbs and a “new town”

to summarize the story of the new town, my OC ( not a duck ) proposed a plan to make a new walkable city center, but ‘cuz he used kilometers instead of miles, we get this slightly chaotic roadway layout in the newest neighborhood in the city
