I went to my local zoo the other day and they had this absolutely gorgeous clown fish and anemone display. I had to get some pictures and videos of it, maybe one day I’ll be able to set up a reef tank and give this a shot. All credit to my gf for the pictures.

I think I’m starting to get the hang of this whole aquascaping thing.

This is my old 5 gal that unfortunately got overtaken by floating plants and eventually killed all the plants except for the Java fern, repens, and Amazon sword.

All of the plants i used to plant were actually all pulled from other tanks that i have. Unfortunately I don’t remember the names of any of them but they will grow in pretty thick as long as the lighting keeps up. There’s also been a new addition of about 5 shrimp that have moved in from my 20.

I can’t wait to see how this grows in

♪ It's time for Fish Fact Friday ♪

The Amazon leaffish is a freshwater fish that can be found within the Amazon River basin!

These fish mimic the appearance of dead leaves in the water, floating slowly along water currents. An elongated skin flap on their lower lip acts as the "stem" of the leaf, and they can even change their colors to better camouflage with their surroundings!

This clever camouflage allows them to both avoid predators and ambush their prey, making them very efficient predators!

Unfortunately Queen Marika(formerly known as Godwyn the Golden) was getting too stressed out by the zebra danios so I had to move her into the 10 gal. Fortunately it looks like she loves the new space and the new roommates. Also thinking of getting some green jade shrimp for the tank, thoughts?
