“I think you’re breathtaking to look at“| {SDV Harvey x GN! reader}
Word count: 1.5k
Warnings: none
Pairing: Harvey x gn! Farmer
A/N: no name used, established relationship but not dating, slow burn confession
Summary: Harvey sees how sunburnt you’ve gotten and asks that you take a few days off from being in the sun. While you spend the day indoors, Harvey visits you and y’all do some Zumba together.
Like clockwork, you could find a handsome doctor at Gunther’s library every Saturday. This is the day of the week when you would normally come by and donate some of the relics you found to the libraries museum. Seeing Harvey outside the clinic was somehow refreshing, so you found yourself (un)intentionally picking up on his schedule. This Saturday was no different; Harvey was standing in the nonfiction section of the library, flipping through a hardcover book. He’s normally more relaxed and approachable at this time, so you went to greet him. “What’s a handsome fella like yourself doing with their face in a book?” The question slightly startled Harvey, his shoulders relaxed when he realized it was just you. “Hello to you too farmer” a soft smile suited Harvey’s face after realizing you called him handsome. However, that expression of his slowly dissipated once he studied your appearance more closely. “Your burnt to a crisp farmer! The summer UV’s are no joke, have you not been using proper sun protection?”
This interaction didn’t go how you planned, Harvey ended up lecturing you about the importance of sunscreen and said to take a few days break away from direct sunlight.
-
Because you respect Harvey’s judgement, you’re now lathered in aloe vera, spending the day in your cabin. There was still daily upkeep needed on the farm, so you got up before the sunrise; your poor chickens didn’t enjoy their beauty sleep being interrupted.
You were so used to running around all day with stuff lined up to do, that a break from it took you off guard. The feeling of being on edge, needing a way to stimulate that same routine of yours. This led to you rummaging through your grandpas few belonging left in the cabin; you ended up finding an old phone book with numbers of the townsfolk. Most of the numbers were outdated; many of the names you didn’t recognize. But Evelyn and George’s home phone number was scribbled out, as well as the Mayors. Unless the landlines in the townsfolk’s homes were disconnected, you bet you could eventually contact someone in the valley by going down the list on the old phone book.
-
Ring . Ring . Ring
“Hello? This is Pelican Town’s clinic, how may I help you?”
“Harvey! wow this thing really works, you’re one of the only people in town that still has their landline connected.”
“Farmer? Why are you calling the clinic, are you alright?”
“I’ve been screwed around with this phone all morning, I thought maybe it didn’t work because I wasn’t getting through to anyone but then I managed to get you on the line.”
“Sounds like an eventful morning, I’ve kept the line connected for my older clients, it tends to be easier for them to contact me with it.”
You felt like you were in an old 80s rom-com listening to Harvey speak on the phone. You imagined him leaned back in that old office chair behind the clinics counter. Was he excited to hear from you? He doesn’t sound very busy but that doesn’t mean he wants to sit and chat’ you thought to yourself.
“Alright, well I was just seeing if the phone worked, I’ll let you get back to work doctor.”
“O-, there’s not much work to be done actually, might close a little early today. How’s your sunburn? I have a good cream for burns if you need any.”
“It’s fine, I’m sure in a few days it’ll start to peel and I’ll get a fresh new layer of skin. I could use like, melatonin or something though; this lack of activity is making me all jittery.”
“Hm, well I wouldn’t recommend melatonin unless you exhibited sleep issues. Let’s see,, I normally get off in about 2 hours, but if you’d like I can do an at home visit and help you relieve some of that energy?”
Get your mind out of the gutter. This is a nice man trying to help you out, a very attractive one at that. If it wasn’t Harvey saying it you’d think that sort of offer was flirting. All your flirtatious efforts in the past directed at Harvey seem to go in one ear and out the other; he just doesn’t seem interested in that way.
“sure I wouldn’t mind that at all.”
“Alright then, let me close up the clinic and I’ll be over shortly.”
Your skin feels sort of tingly now, maybe it’s just from the sunburn.
-
Harvey arrived at your doorstep roughly 30 minutes later. He had changed from his work clothes into a more casual t-shirt and sweats and was carrying a small tote bag. You noticed he was flushed in the face after walking all the way to your farm. When you invited him in, he pulled out an iPod and a small speaker from his bag and said, “l thought you might be interested in doing a bit of Zumba with me.” ‘So that’s what he meant when he said he could help.’ It’s endearing how a few months ago he was practically begging you not to tell anyone he attends Caroline’s aerobics class and is now asking you to do Zumba with him.
-
Once he set up the speaker, he shortly briefed you on doing either 1. You can copy him, or 2. Just make up your own groove. He then got an 80’s dance playlist on shuffle. Donna Summer’s ‘I Feel Love’ started playing, the small speaker was surprisingly loud. Harvey seemed to really be in the zone while he was trying to find his rhythm. Mostly light foot work at first, like he was warming his way up the body, then some shoulder shimmies; soon he seemed to be fully immersed in the upbeat music. It was honestly adorable that he felt comfortable enough to do this with you. You wanted to make sure that Harvey wasn’t the only dork in the room, so you quickly found your rhythm and started doing your own little thing. Out of all the people in town, you’d only let Harvey see this is side of you; by no means were you a good dancer. You didn’t feel judged in the slightest letting off some steam with him.
After 3 songs played and a lot of goofing off, you felt surprisingly winded, you hadn’t realize Zumba was this much of a workout. Once the 3rd song finished, you took a break and sat on the floor. Harvey quickly joined you trying to catch his own breath.
“God I didn’t know zumba was such a workout, that wiped me out quick”
You and Harvey laughed at the state both of you were in.
“It’s definitely more taxing than it looks, I could barely get through one song when I was starting out”
Harvey told you he had started going to Caroline’s classes roughly the same time you moved in to the valley.
“Were you trying to get in shape since a hot new face had moved in?” You were joking but the comment had Harvey turning his head away from you. You saw his ear turn red. The moment of silence was awkward since Harvey didn’t laugh at your flirtatious joke like he normally would.
“In all honesty, I think that might be true. When you moved in I felt more motivated to do things that would better myself. Looking back at it I wanted to catch your attention but I was never very up front about that kind of thing. I made it seem like I was solely doing it for health reasons.”
This response came as a shock to you, Harvey never really opened up to you like this. Internally cursing yourself for joking like that, you wanted the joke to be true but now that it is you’re at a loss for words. Harvey was patiently waiting for a response.
“If anyone else in this town had brought an iPod to my cabin and asked me to do Zumba with them, I’d say HELL no. You’re the only person in town I’d do this with.”
“, I’m glad to hear that farmer”
“You should try and be more up front with me about these kinds of things, I mean, I call you The Handsome Doctor like every other day”
“I can never tell if that’s a joke or not, if anything, your the one who should try and be more up front”
“I feel like calling you attractive is pretty up front”
“Alright well, I think you’re breathtaking to look at, even when you’re extremely sunburnt, so much so that I often have to not look at you or I lose my train of thought.”
You don’t know if you can handle up front Harvey. What are you supposed to say to that confession.
“You better watch out cuz you’re going to end up seeing this face a lot more now that you’ve said that” Your response sounded more like threatening than you wanted it to, why couldn’t you have said something sweet’ you thought.
“I’d love to see you more often farmer, I’m glad I got that off my chest.”
-
Harvey packed up his iPod and speaker shortly after that eventful conversation. The Zumba did in fact help your nerves, or maybe it was Harvey’s presence that put you at ease. You thanked Harvey for helping you, and he said “Let me know if you ever need a dance partner again, oh and here-”
Harvey handed you a bottle of sunscreen.

“You spoil me rotten sometimes, you know that.” | {SDV Harvey x GN! Reader}
Word count: 608
Warning: alcohol use, no name used
Pairing: Harvey x gn! reader
A/N: established relationship, married life fluff, sharing some wine with your man in the bath
The summer heat was beating down on Stardew Valley. You’ve been dying in this heat, but the crops love summer time. Especially your orange trees; which had given you the bright idea to try and make an orange wine for your partner. Harvey is a big fan of wine so you’re sure he’ll enjoy it.
After what felt like an eternity, the wine was finally done fermenting. You did a quick taste test of the wine, it came out to be quite tart and light in color. You went ahead and bottled the wine and put it away so that Harvey and you could enjoy it with dinner that night.
-
The sun was finally starting to get low in the sky, you thought you’d call it a day and clean up before dinner.
Harvey greeted you as you walked into your shared home. “Hi honey, you’re home a bit early. Are you feeling alright?”
“I’m just fine. Thought I’d wash off a bit before dinner is all.”
Harvey took a big stretch, his usual motion when he’s been sitting in a chair all day. “That sounds like a good idea, mind if I join you?”
That question gave you a new idea, “When have I ever said no to that.” you gingerly kissed your partner and asked “Can you start the bath? I’m gonna get us some clothes.”
You did go to get some clothes, but you also got the wine out and some mugs. It’d probably be more romantic if you had actual wine glasses but you keep forgetting to buy some.
You had paid Robin extra on the bathroom remodeling to make the bathtub bigger. Money well spent, and Robin definitely knew why you asked for that sort of request and didn’t even bat an eye.
-
You walked into the shared bathroom, Harvey was in the process of undressing while the bath filled.
He hadn’t even noticed you brought in wine, he was preoccupied getting into the steamy bath. Harvey let out a small sigh of relief once he got comfortable with his back resting against the porcelain. You were setting the mugs down on the counter and filling one of them with wine to hand to Harvey.
“Here, I made us some wine out of the oranges I’ve been growing.”
You could practically see hearts in Harvey’s eyes. “You spoil me rotten sometimes, you know that.” He gratefully took the mug from you.
After you set your own mug down near the bath, you undressed and joined Harvey in the bath across from him, “Let me know how you like it, it might be a little sweet for your taste.”
Harvey took a generous sip of the wine, “I think it’s delicious, the citrus is very refreshing.” He then took another swig and set the mug down to the side. “I’m so grateful to be able to call you mine, you make me feel so loved.”
All you did was make him wine, such a simple gesture was all it took to turn Harvey into mush. Kind of made you wonder if he’d ever been actually appreciated by someone before.
-
After he finished his wine, you got an amazing back and scalp massage. He helped you scrub away all the dirt and grime you’ve been collecting. In the past, you’ve rejected Harvey joining you when you bathe because of how gross you get during the day. However this man doesn’t care one bit. “Nothing that can’t be rinsed off.” He’d say.
Once the water started getting cold, Harvey and you dried off; and then took the remainder of the wine to your shared bedroom to finish.
A/N: let me know if I should do a part 2 :)

“I wouldn’t mind seeing your face here every once in a while.” | {SDV Harvey x gn! Reader}
Word count: 820
Warnings: minor injury, no name used
Pairing: Harvey x gn! reader
A/N: Farmers first interaction with Harvey, a little bit of corporate worker angst at the beginning but mostly fluff
“If you’re reading this, you must be in dire need of a change” grandpa’s letter wrote. Those words spoke true to your situation. The day-to-day of being a corporate slave has sucked all the emotion from your being. You craved something that would bring that spark back. However, trying to bring your grandpa’s land to its former glory has proven to be a major challenge.
You lay awake in the small cabin, your back aches, and you’re desperately trying not to itch the bug bites on your arms. You’d be kidding yourself if you acted like the tremendous amount of physical labor was fulfilling. There was no turning back though, you had to put faith in your grandpa’s action for gifting you this opportunity.
Your first batch of parsnips were finally ready to be dug up. This was a huge achievement in your book, feeling that spark of joy flutter in your chest. You set off to town, hoping to get a couple bucks off the parsnips at Pierre’s general store.
Pierre seemed kind of shocked that you managed to actually grow some produce at the farm. He applauded your hard work and was thrilled about getting some more fresh produce in the future. Such a friendly interaction had brought on more of that fuzzy feeling you had been missing.
While you were in town, you needed to grab some basic first aid tools to clean up your blistered hands.
Unfortunately, Pierre’s didn’t carry such things, so you were ushered to head next door to the clinic.
This was your first time in the clinic since moving. The man behind the counter was scribbling something on paper when you entered. He looked up at the sound of the door.
“Hello, are you by chance the new farmer in town.”
This guy was nothing like what you imagined the town doctor to look like. He was quite handsome to be honest.
“Yup I’m the new farmer, sorry for not coming by to introduce myself earlier; I’ve been pretty busy.”
“No worries, my name is Harvey, I’m the town’s one and only doctor. Is there anything I can help you with today?”
He had that friendly kind of expression where you could see more of his smile in his eyes than on his lips.
“Nice to meet you Harvey, I just need some first aid supplies to keep at the farm. I’m new to this whole lifestyle, so I’m kind of a hot mess right now.”
His expression change was very animated, maybe a little amused at your words but also a little worried.
“Oh my, I bet that’s been rough. I can definitely lend you a first aid kit. Since you’re here, why don’t I fix you up.”
“Are you sure? It’s just minor things, and I’m sure you must be busy being the only doctor in town.”
You looked over the counter and saw he was doodling airplanes on a piece of scrap paper.
“I don’t mind one bit; it’s my job to help after all”
You were sat down in a small room and watched Harvey put some hydrogen peroxide on a cotton ball to clean your blisters with.
“This might sting a little so bear with me.”
It sure did sting. Harvey was being really gentle about his care. He often looked up to see if you were making any sort of pained expression.
“So, what brought you to the valley? You said this was a new lifestyle for you; was there a sudden urge to become a farmer?”
You let out a small pained chuckle. “God I wish, I mean, it’s hard work but it’s satisfying. To be honest, I came to Stardew Valley on a whim, wanted a fresh start.”
“Ah I see, it’s a lovely town so I can see that sort of appeal. Try not to push yourself too hard though.”
You know he’s just saying that because it’s his job to care for the townsfolk’s health, but he seems really genuine with his words.
“I’ll make sure you don’t see me here too often,” you said jokingly.
“That’s the goal, but I wouldn’t mind seeing your face here every once in a while.”
Was that flirting? Maybe just friendliness, since this is a professional setting. You’re definitely a little flustered either way.
Harvey made a small care package of first aid items for you to take home. Your hands had some bandages on them, and he even went to the length of putting some ointment on your bug bites.
“Take care now farmer, and welcome to the town. I’ll be here if you ever need anything.”
“Thank you Harvey, you’re a really kind person.”
There was a little bit of rosiness in his smile when you left the clinic.
This new lifestyle of yours is really starting to pay off, you haven’t felt this kind of contentment in a long time.

“Oh my you must have really hit your head hard” | {SDV Harvey x gn! Reader}
Word count: 817
Warnings: minor injury, no name used
Pairing: Harvey x gn! reader
A/N: pure fluff, not yet established relationship but these fools love each other
Your first winter at Stardew valley was an especially cold one. Not many crops can grow in the icy snow, so you’ve been spending several hours a day exploring the strange caves near the mountains.
Today’s agenda was to get to floor 95. You’ve been blowing through levels of the mines with ease. Safe to say either your skill or your sheer luck was starting to get to your head.
The noise of the elevator starting up at floor 95 was music to your ears. Boy were you tired, but the thrill of knowing what was one more floor below you had you heaving your pickaxe at more rocks. That was until a cave monster managed a fatal hit straight to the head, knocking you unconscious.
A bright yellow figure hovered over you as you came to, took a couple of seconds to realize it was Linus. He looked really shook up and was muddling about getting you some help. You were banged up pretty bad but you weren’t helpless. Linus had an arm under you, shuffling to Harvey’s Clinic.
Your ego hurt the most, Harvey had warned you not to venture in the mines so this was going to be embarrassing. Linus threw a few pebbles at Harvey’s upstairs apartment window to get his attention. You saw the window open and Harvey’s sleepy head pop out. The immediate panic in his eyes at the sight of you made you feel a little ashamed of your state. You knew Harvey cared about you, you’ve been bringing this guy coffee with cute notes written on them all year. It was mindless flirting at first but ya’ll definitely grew an unexpected appreciation for each other throughout the year.
The front door of the Clinic swung open. Harvey was in his robe and had messy hair, nearly tripping on his slippers. He swiftly took Linus’s place in supporting your body weight and quickly brought you inside. You hadn’t realize how cold you were until the clinics warm air hit you. Linus explained to Harvey he found you near the mines and then sheepishly exited the clinic, not wanting any sort of thank you for his kind actions.
The buzzing LED lights were hurting your head. Harvey helped you up on a cold metal table then went to rummage through shelves looking for medical supplies, muttering to himself frantically. He brought out a whole bunch of basic first aid tools and was talking himself through the steps of mending a head injury. He was clearly trying to wake himself up to be fully capable of caring for you.
He grabbed a small flash light first and went to see if your pupils were responsive, basically to see if you had a concussion or not. His hand rested on your cheek to get a proper angle, but you felt him shaking. You’ve busted your head countless times as a kid so you remained mostly calm. Although you dreaded seeing him in such a state, a state which you caused. You resting your hand on top of Harvey’s. Making eye contact with him, you take a deep breath in-and-out wanting Harvey to mimic, which he does.
Harvey’s shoulder relax a little and he states “I’m sorry, when I saw you like that outside my window, I started imagining the worst.” God you’re an idiot you thought. “I’m the one who should be apologizing, looks like I nearly gave you a heart attack” you tried to chuckle a little to ease the tension but your head ached doing so. Harvey’s eye’s were so sincere looking at you, you can’t remember the last time someone looked at you like that. “Are you feeling feverish, your face has gone flush?” Harvey exclaimed. “Thankfully not, I think I might be a little love sick though.” That was so corny you wish you’d been left in the mines. It made Harvey laugh though, “Oh my you must have really hit your head hard.”
He gave you an examination and said “If it’s a concussion it’s a minor one”, but he wants to get a CT scan in the morning just to be safe. He went ahead and bandaged any small cuts you had as well.
“Alright you’re free to go, but I better see you here tomorrow morning. And no more mines.”
“My mining will be on a temporary hiatus, I’ll be sure to bring u some coffee tomorrow as a thank you”
Harvey sighs at your stubbornness
“Are you sure you’re okay to walk back to your farm, it’s dark and the pavement might be slick.”
“I’ll be fine, nothing I don’t do often”
Standing at the doorway of the clinic Harvey shivers as you open the door to exit. He then grabs your hand.
“One last thing”
Harvey gingerly kisses your forehead.
“Get home safe please.”
That had u giddy as hell on your walk home.
