It's the last day of boot camp and Nicole Scherzinger returns as a guest judge. Each act performs 1 song and Liam chooses Stop Crying Your Heart Out of Oasis, while Zayn goes for Make You Feel My Love of Adele.

Today all the contestants are told the verdict: are they’re going through to judges house or not.  First they release the girls of their tension, then the groups and finally the boys.  All of them are very nervous and while they keep calling names and the changes get slicker the tension’s readable on the faces of Liam and Zain

Both fail to qualify for the boys category, just as Louis, Niall and Harry

After the verdict Liam seeks comfort by Dermot O’Leary  

Because the group category was the weakest, The jury decided that 5 rejected soliste from the Boys category and 4 of the Girls category will get asked to form 2 groups. Liam and Zayn get called back to the stage, just as Louis, Niall and Harry. They eagerly wait what's to come

Nicole Scherzinger talks to them explaining she knows it isn’t easy for them at the moment.  She also says they (the jury) think that all of them are to talented to let go off, so they tought it would be a good idea to have 2 separate groups.  As Nicole’s talking Zayn stands between Niall and Louis. 

Then Simon takes the word.  “We decide to put you both through” When Simon says the releasing words Zain all of a sudden stands between Louis and Liam

The groups get 5 minuten to decide wist het they want to go home as a solo artists or be put together in a group to stay and compete. They’re all very excited but Simon has something to say to them.    He tells them they have to work very hard and take this opportunity.  Harry explains how they experienced it to Dermot.  “The worst feeling to the best feeling”
