On happiness

How did you find your happiness?

Happiness is an ever evolving emotion, and I believe it stems from not having any adverse emotions about your current life situation. I don’t think it is something you find and keep, as life is ever changing around us, people move in and out of our realms of existence, things that hurt us happen, just as good things happen to us too. Some days it is really easy to feel happy and fulfilled, and other days you just want to hide until the next one comes around.

Whenever I am having a struggle day (like today) I really endeavor to find small things in each moment that make me happy. Sometimes I write a little list to help myself remember that everything is in passing, and life is not just this black cloud chilling on my shoulders - it’s a web of little, lovely experiences. Today I needed to do this list, and I managed to grow a good few things down that reminded me that life is flux and mind state is everything :)

Then I retreated to my apartment and watched friends for three hours and talked to no one 👍 And am starting to feel human again. I find alone time really essential for me to find my feet and center myself.

So I really just answered your question with an idea, as I don’t believe anyone finds their happiness. And if they do, it will exist only in that moment - which is beautiful and powerful. Love is everything here.
