dry herb vaporizer guide
Dry Herb Vaporizer is a gadget used for vaping dry herbs. This is a modified electronics version of old smoking pipes or hookas where herbs are placed within the chamber and the gadget, with the help of a battery or plug-in power that creates heat to form the smoke to inhale. Mainly, there are three types of vapes according to the nature of the material – Dry Herb vapes, Wax Vapes and Oil Vapes.
Accordingly, Dry Herb Vaporizers used for vaporizing dry herbs, have two segments – Portable Dry Herb Vaporizers & Desktop/Table-top Dry Herb Vaporizers.
Dry Herb Vaporization Methods
There are different types of vapes according to the method of vaporizing:
Conduction
In the conduction method, a heater is placed inside the gadget especially beneath the chamber to heat the herbs directly to create vapor. This is the most common method, as it is more affordable.
Properties:
Vapor quality is awesome and smooth at the beginning but declines towards the end
More concentrated vapor than convection
Chiefly portable and sleek
Uneven heating at times
Chance of vapor to affect throat if used in high temperature repeatedly
Convection
In this method, hot air passes through the herbs and creates vapor.
Properties:
Smoothness and a good vapor quality during the whole session
Airflow quality is better comparatively
No stirring needed
Smoother vapor even at high temperature
Usually available in premium units
Bigger and bulkier for larger chambers and an airflow passage
Induction
In Induction, a coil or plate is heated to come in touch with the herbs to heat and smoke
Mixed/Hybrid
There are models having the facilities of 2 or 3 combinations of the above methods, called 2-in-1 or 3-in-1 according to the presence of heating methods.
Portable & Desktop Dry Herb Vaporizers:
In portable dry herb vaporizers, sizes of vapes are smaller, usually shaped like a pen which you can carry comfortably in any pocket. However, being smaller, the number of herbs to insert and vapor is created is limited. Mostly applicable for occasional/terminal and limited use, shorter sessions. You can also fit a bubbler with it for a variation in taste.
Best Portable Dry Herb Vaporizer advantages:
Easier usage
Battery operated
Handy, Compact & Portable
Smaller chamber, ideal for starters
In the case of desktop vaporizers or tabletops, you can enjoy larger clouds from their larger chamber. Cleansing & maintenance is also comfortable. Remember, this is not fixed in a place like heavy gadgets, however, not portable like a cigarette case or lighter or a marker to be placed in your pocket. Ideal for night-long larger sessions.
Best Desktop vaporizer advantages:
Larger in size
Bigger chamber for larger smokes
Multiple inhaling options
Usually plug-in connection
Complicated maintenance at times
Should be used in a fixed place like home
Comparatively expensive
Dry Herb Vape Temperature Control
Controlling temperature during a smoke session is important as the quality and smoothness of the smoke during the whole session are important. It feels disturbing if you can’t control the temperature of your vape during a session without having a proper smoothness and flavor according to your choice.
There are different temperature facilities that you can have in your vape:
One temperature – Vapes with a single temperature, no option to change, ideal for starters, mostly available in budget vapes
Pre-Set – Comes with manufacturing with an option of three to five different temperatures to set occasionally
Precision – The device comes with a range of temperatures that you can set to a preferable exact one
Dry Herb Vaporizer Material Quality
Usually, vapes come with 4 different making materials that signify their performance quality and cost as well. Glass, Metal (Stainless Steel), Plastic, and Silicone are primary body materials that signify the design, shape weight, chamber, and durability after numerous hitting. Glass is considered to be the best for heating and smoothness as well as cleaning quality. Stainless steel is also good, but not as high-performing as glass. Plastic is good at quality with heating and vaping, however, cleaning is more difficult than glass. Silicon bodies and parts are mostly available in all desktop models.
Dry Herb Vaporizer Conclusion
There are several quality vapes are used by vapers according to their needs. We would recommend every buyer keeps these things in mind before you purchase or try them out. Make sure that how long you want to use it, and how frequent your sessions are. If you are an amateur or are new, it is also important to know how much herb you are using and how often.

Pulsar APX V3 Review
Why choose Pulsar APX V3?
Pulsar APZ V3 is a decent smart-looking ceramic portable dry-herb vaporizer with a lot of up-to-date features that seem to be one of the best for beginners. It has a compatible USB C-Type charging, a slick metallic design, and a wide range of temperature control. Moreover, it is a budget vape, the best-featured vape with a good price for beginners.
The box contains
1 x Pulsar APX V3 Dry Herb Vaporizer 1 x USB-C Charging Cable 1 x Stir Tool 2 x Replacement Screens 1 x Cleaning Brush
Why Pulsar APX V3 Key is special?
The model is upgraded with excellent airflow through an isolated airpath, a rapid heat-up time within 30 seconds, slick & smart design, an upgraded LED screen, and a Snap-on mouthpiece. The package also contains an integrated stir tool.
Portability
With just a 100 gms weight and 4.0 x 1.25 x 1.0 in measurement, this lightweight slick vape is comfortably portable as it just fits into a pocket. However, we recommend carrying a USB-C charger for long service in transit.
Vapor Quality
It provides vapors more comfortably for its isolated airpath, excellent airflow, and a wider range of heating. The newly designed Snap-On mouthpiece also gives an extra boost to inhale enough smokes.
The new temperature control is also good for aroma and vapor, especially using minimum herbs.
Standard Battery Life
Collapse
Significantly, 1600 mAh battery provides an average of 1 hr puffing. Recommended for starters or puffing for amateurs for a shorter time range, not for a spontaneous day-long service in a single charge.
Using Method
Pull up the shorter side of the mouthpiece away towards the power button side. It requires a little force which clarifies that the model is not recommended for medicinal users or users suffering from arthritis. The vape pack is provided with the required maintenance tools from Tools420 Vape. For medicinal uses, Mighty+ or Crafty+ is a better recommendation.
Once the mouthpiece is open, it allows inserting herbs (up to 0.5 grams) into the ceramic chamber. Now, replace the cap back to the place. Now the power button has to be pressed five times to turn it on. Hold the power button for three seconds to five-set temperature cycling.
How to clean the Pulsar APX V3?
Once you remove the mouthpiece, remove used residual products in the chamber with the dab tool. You can also use a brush instead. Now rinse with vape cleansing sticks or alcohol vape wipes. Once the chamber is dried up, replace the mouthpiece back — the vape is ready to use.
The process actually protects the chamber from forming raisins.
Warranty
APX V3 has a one-year warranty against the manufacturer’s defects.
Pulsar Vaporizer Review Conclusion
The Pulsar Apex V3 is equipped with great manufacturing developments in this model. No doubt these improvements have made it a super starter budget vape as vapor quality, slick design, budget price, and excellent airflow have been developed a lot. Considering a lot of highly recommendable properties, especially with excellent air pass and budget reach, APX V3 is the best vape for starters or amateurs.

Arizer XQ2 Desktop Vaporizer Guide
Arizer XQ2 Vaporizer GuideHow does the Arizer XQ2 work?
The Arizer XQ2 desktop vaporizer works through a convection heating system that will work to heat up a glass bowl, which will then pump vapor through your choice of either a silicone whip or an inflated balloon. With the balloon option, you simply place the balloon and glass accessory onto the glass bowl, select a fan and heating option, and you can watch as it is slowly filled with your dry herb vapor.
If you’d like to use the silicone whip, simply place the glass mouthpiece onto one end, and then the bowl adapter onto the other. Once the XQ2 is finally pumping out some quality vapor, you can begin inhaling. For medicinal patients, they will also have the option of turning the fan on for an easier and assisted draw.
How to use the Arizer XQ2 Connoisseur Bowl
With the upgrade to the connoisseur bowl on the XQ2 from the cyclone bowl, you’ll now have two sides that offer different kinds of use. For the cloud side, you’ll have a very large bowl that will be better for THC extraction since your dry herb will be closer to the heating element. For the flavor side, the bowl holds much less dry herb, but will have a much smoother cooking that will allow for a better terpene profile during inhales.
The good thing is that you can place the rubber Tuff grips on either side of the glass bowl, so that you won’t have to worry about burning your hands when you’re removing the bowl after a session.
How to use an Arizer XQ2 Balloon
To set up the Arizer XQ2 balloon, all you’ll need to do is thread the balloon thread cap on to the open end of the bag, and then fold any excess back before your place the glass mouthpiece and rubber cap on. Once you’ve loaded your selected connoisseur bowl with a medium ground dry herb, you will place it back onto the convection heating element along with the elbow adapter, which you’ll place into the 10mm female port. From there, you can either power the vape on with the remote or on the vape’s user interface on its body. The XQ2 will automatically begin heating, and then after a minute or two of preheating, you can turn the fan on to either slowly or quickly fill the balloon. For more flavor, use a temperature around 360F / 182C, and for more thick vapor, use a temperature above 390F / 199C.

Using the included dab tool from the kit, load a rice-sized grain into the bottom of the atomizer and then reseal it. Press the power button five times to turn the vape on, and then you can set the previously mentioned temperature settings by clicking the power button three times. For heating, either press and hold the power button or double-click it. Once your session is done, simply use a Q-Tip soaked in alcohol to remove any leftover residue.
If you want to use your Stella with a bubbler, you can do so with a DynaVap Fat Mouthpiece which will work as a 14mm Waterpipe Adapter. XMAX V3 Pro vs Arizer Solo 2 Review
XMAX V3 Pro vs Arizer Solo 2 Review
If you’ve been on the market for a new portable dry herb vaporizer, you have probably come across both the Arizer Solo 2, as well as the XMAX V3 Pro. They have become staples of the portable dry herb vape community for their quality at a low price point. Since the Solo 2’s release in 2018, the vaping market has come a long way, but that’s not to say that it has been passed by in any way. As the newer device, the V3 Pro does enjoy some more modern features such as on-demand sessions and USB-C charging though. In this review, we’ll be comparing each vaporizer to help you choose the right one for you based on your unique vaping habits.
Key Feature Comparison - XMAX V3 Pro vs Arizer Solo 2
With the XMAX V3 Pro, you’ll have a 2600mAh battery, on-demand or session pure convection heating, and a mouthpiece with an integrated stir tool.
With the Solo 2, you’ll have a 3400mAh battery, an easy user interface, and the fan-favorite 110mm glass stem chamber.
How to use the XMAX V3 Pro?
To use the XMAX V3 Pro, you’ll first start by removing the magnetic mouthpiece and then load in 0.25g of a medium grind. Once you place the mouthpiece back on, you can turn the vape on by pressing the power button five times. The device will automatically begin heating to your last set temperature, which you can adjust with the up and down arrows. You can also switch between on-demand mode and session modes by pressing the up and down arrows at the same time. If you have the on-demand mode on, all you’ll need to do is press and hold the power button down for a few seconds.
To use the Arizer Solo 2, you’ll first start by removing the glass stem mouthpiece. At the bottom of the mouthpiece is the chamber which you’ll load with 0.2g of a medium grind, or with a screen and fine grind if you’d like. Once you turn the vape on by pressing the power and up arrow, all you’ll need to do is adjust the temperature and then the vape will automatically begin heating.
XMAX V3 Pro vs Arizer Solo 2 Vapor Quality
The first thing to note about this comparison is that the V3 Pro has a much more powerful heater that will be able to clear the bowl much faster. With pure convection heating, the vapor doesn’t smell as much as the Solo 2’s hybrid oven.
For the Solo 2, while you won’t be able to take as fast hits because the heater isn’t as powerful, the overall flavor is much better. In between hits, you’ll have to wait up to 15 seconds to get quality vapor clouds built up from the chamber again.
XMAX V3 Pro vs Arizer Solo 2 Battery Life
In this regard, it comes down to personal preference between the more modern USB-C charging, or just outright battery power with the Solo 2 with the outdated DC-port.
In terms of battery life, you’ll get about 45 minutes out of the V3 Pro, or about 5-10 sessions in. For the Solo 2, out of the box, you’ll get 3 hours of battery life, but the downside is that the charge will take about the same amount of time and will be less versatile as the battery isn’t swappable and you’ll be forced to use the DC charging port.
XMAX V3 Pro vs Solo 2 Review Conclusion
The XMAX V3 Pro is a great budget vaporizer that is super easy to use, offers extremely fast heating, and is super affordable. The Solo 2 is a flavorful and relaxing vaporizer that is super easy to use while offering some of the best flavor and battery life on the market. Overall, you can’t go wrong with either vaporizer. For slightly more flavor, the Solo 2 is the winner, and for a little more value and faster heating, the XMAX V3 Pro is the winner.
