Juggling many committments. BLM. Bitter Shrew about Mark Darcy and proud of it ("like me just the way I am?" Bitch please, I am fantabulous or as Gen Z says "I stan myself"). Intersectional Latinix Feminist and proud of it, no TERFS or Biphobes or MRAs or Trumpsters. I am not here for your opinions on how my work can be "better", Goddess In Progress to quote Julie Brown.

Not too much on Miss Kate, but it is a bit silly how people think a woman with a chronic illness cancelling engagements last minute is a sign of a conspiracy.

It just kind of sucks that if Kate went to Ascot she would have been the best dressed there.

I keep seeing posts that say things like "If Kyle's not a nerd, then explain THIS" and as the person who might have possibly started this discourse, I need to clarify a few things.
Canon Kyle is an intellectual. He is very smart, is a whiz with computers, and enjoys learning. However, there's nothing in canon that indicates that he's a stereotypical nerd. He's athletic, he's among the physically strongest of the fourth grade boys, he gets into mischief with his friends, and schoolwork doesn't dominate his life. You can be smart and even like learning without being a pencil-necked geek with no life beyond school and studying. Unfortunately, fandom hasn't gotten the memo.
In fanworks, Kyle drops sports and all of his other interests in favor of studying. He doesn't have a social life because of schoolwork and any extra-curriculars that he participates in are academically oriented. He even dresses stereotypically and has a stereotypical physique.
And yes, it is because he's Jewish. I know, you all are sick of me going on about this, but it's the truth and I'm not going to be quiet about this issue. I shouldn't have to sit by and be okay with people who claim to be liberal and progressive adhering to such gross stereotypes about my people and I don't deserve to be accused of "not respecting other people's feelings" when I call this bullshit out. And other Jews disagreeing with me about this issue doesn't give you a free pass.
None of you who portray or enjoy Kyle like this are bad people and I know that you have nothing against Jews. It's the media's fault. For centuries (this isn't an exaggeration, see the links in my pinned post àbout Kyle), Jewish men have been portrayed as meek and nerdy, from medieval screeds to modern television. You can't undo that many years of brainwashing overnight.
Before anybody says anything, Wendy is also a book smart character. However, in fanworks, she gets to be popular and cute. She participates in cheerleading, sports, and other activities that don't involve studying. She dates and goes to parties. You don't see her wearing coke bottle glasses or dorky jumpers.
If anybody can explain to be why this double standard between Wendy and Kyle exists without relying on headcanons or fanon, I'd love to hear it.
This is what TV Tropes says about Kyle on the Jewish and Nerdy page and his character page, respectively:

Finally, I'm not saying that people "aren't allowed" to portray Kyle a certain way, but I do request that you at least think critically about why you portray him like that. Everybody has unconscious biases. Including me.
tl;dr: Kyle is an intellectual, not a stereotypical "nerd".

If I were Charles I would be so pissed because, objectively, I have accomplished so much more than my elder son and have worked so hard as Prince of Wales to establish myself and create a new brand of royal philanthropy in the later half of the twentieth century.
But my son, who can't even do 200 engagements a year at 40 and only talks about maybe doing something radical, someday, maybe, is not only more popular, but it is wildly believed that he would be a better monarch despite showcasing a total disregard for the Commonwealth and his duties beyond what he finds personally enjoyable.
And it's all because you cheated on your wife. Unlike your son, who probably has also cheated on his wife. Nuts.

We are heartbroken to share the tragic news of the death of Jonathan Joss—beloved actor, artist, and gay icon—who was fatally shot on June 1, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas. He was 59 years old. Authorities are investigating the possibility of a hate crime.
Jonathan, of Comanche and White Mountain Apache heritage, rose to fame as the voice of John Redcorn on King of the Hill and appeared in acclaimed films such as The Magnificent Seven and True Grit. Beyond his screen work, he was a tireless advocate for Native sovereignty, queer visibility, and authentic representation.
In recent years, Jonathan came out publicly as a gay man and remained fiercely proud of both his Indigenous and queer identities. He is survived by his husband, Tristan Kern de Gonzales, with whom he shared a life rooted in love, art, and community.
Jonathan’s legacy is one of courage, truth, and unapologetic presence. His impact on two-spirit and LGBTQ+ Indigenous youth—and on all of us who saw ourselves in his work—cannot be overstated.
We mourn his loss. We honor his voice. We demand justice. Rest in power, Jonathan Joss. You are remembered. You are loved.

Now consider: a man in a dress. Not in drag or all dressed up or anything. No accessories, no makeup or styling, just wearing the dress, some ratty boxers and muddy sneakers. No socks or stockings, hairy legs in the open air, just raw dogging those nasty shoes. Hair mildly damp. Visibly sleep-deprived. Bruises on shoulders, elbows and knees, left palm bleeding. Sitting on a curb on the street, shivering, looking wretched, and absolutely miserable.
I forgot where I was going with this.
