Toph smiled and followed obediently. Apple pie was her favorite dessert here, and she'd miss it when she went back home.
She still didn't believe he'd drop everything to come with her, of course. She wasn't even quite sure she wanted him to. He had a nice stable life here, had done very well for himself...and...She frowned. That's right, she had all those eh, other lovers in other worlds. She was pretty certain he had said he didn't care, but what if he changed his mind and just wanted her all to himself? Commitment was not something she was good with.
And being back in her world, assuming time moved the same for her as for them, meant that she'd be back with her friends. Back around Sokka, who she had been hot and heavy with right before leaving. Was he back with Suki again yet? Would it be weird to bring a boyfriend...er, lover...home with her to meet them after she disappeared for what she assumed was about a year now?
She stood in thought, Al bustling about the kitchen. She had promised not to leave without saying something but...if he intended to go and she didn't want him to...
She had a lot of thinking to do.

Alphonse frowned. “You don’t believe me do you? Fine, I can live with that but when the day comes that you want to leave don’t be surprised when I pack my suitcase and start making phone calls.”

She shook her head, smiling, and snuck another quick kiss from him.
"And what would you tell everyone? 'Sorry I'm gonna go jump to another world with a faulty magic amulet and I have no idea when I'll be back'?"

“But let’s not think about those kind of things. It’s sorta depressing.” She said laughing lightly at her bad attempt to lighten the mood.
