I was going for the scientific hubris trope, and it honestly fits because he loves learning about Pokémon so much

Also Toren has both heterochromia and leukocoria; his orange eye is the one with a white pupil

I used to think about giving him a scar, but decided it would be cooler if he had not one, but TWO eye conditions. Also that it would be funny if his affected eye has 20/20 vision and he needs the monocle solely for his left eye lol

Toren has chapped lips since he bites them a lot and often forgets to apply chapstick since he’s too worried about other things going on. The usual anxiety stuff, y’know.
