What do you like to do in your leisure time?
Reading brings me so much joy. In the right place with the right surroundings it is so peaceful. I enjoy reading either in complete silence so I can really visualize what I’m reading, sitting next to and listening to a roaring fire, or putting some smooth New Orleans jazz in the background. Reading gives your brain so many options and dreams to think about. You can picture the characters however you want and fully immerse yourself in what the book is describing. It’s like living in another world dedicating yourself to the story line and just longing for more as you continue to turn the pages.
I highly recommend getting into reading if you aren’t. Base your books off the genre of tv and movies you watch if you don’t know where to start. For me I really enjoy fantasy; like Harry Potter. So I read a lot of books that have magic in them. I’m currently reading the Throne of Glass series and I highly recommend you read it too if you haven’t. Sarah J Mass is a very known writer for fantasy and her books are all very fantastic.

Name an attraction or town close to home that you still haven’t got around to visit.
The trail of 100 giants. My town is very know tourist spot that is home of the infamous giant redwood sequoia trees. I have lived here my whole life basically and have never really had the attraction of going to see trees. Now every time I say that everyone always says how much I’m missing out. Maybe one day I’ll go up there and see them for myself but I live on the sequoia national forrest so I see trees all the time. Thinking about it now as I’m typing this, it is perking up my photography side to go and check it out.

What does creativity mean to you?
Creativity is such a beautiful thing. There are so many different ways to express what creativity means to you. I enjoy expressing creativity through many different things. I enjoy writing, photography, crocheting, and reading the most. Let’s start with writing; there are so many ways you can express yourself through journaling/ writing. You write down all of your thoughts and feelings, your day to day life, what drives you, whatever you want! It is such a good feeling to let go and feel yourself express yourself however you want! Judgment free zone with no other thoughts except yours. Now photography; there is nothing else better in this world than you and your camera. You get to capture how you think the world expresses its beauty through your lense. You can express yourself by the picture you take. Capturing the beauty of Mother Nature in your own eyes. Or even if your capture people’s lives, capturing their love how you see it and expressing it to them. With crocheting i love to make hand make things and gift them to people who i love the most. I feel like it is such a sentimental gift to give someone. Something you take time on and put a lot of thought and effort into to show them you love them. Now reading; oh reading has so much creativity within itself. There are so many genres in reading and you have all the imagination in the world to picture the characters and the sciences however you want. Reading is like being in your own little world and it brings me so much peace. I hope everyone has a creative passion and can feel free enough to express yourself however you like.

If you could make your pet understand one thing, what would it be?
If there was anything I could wish for in this whole world, it would be that dogs could talk. It would be the coolest thing to understand what your dog is telling you and to have them understand you. Your dog will always be your best friend and who doesn’t want to talk their best friend all the time! But unfortunately they can’t so I would choose love.
I know dogs can pick up on some words if you say them enough and they ultimately do end up understanding somewhat. But to know that your dog understands that you love them more than anything would be such a blessing. They give us so much unconditional love all the time I wish nothing more than for them to know that we give unconditional love back.

How do you see yourself in 7 years?
Looking at my life now, in 7 years this is what I hope it will be.
I will be married to the love of my life with our two beautiful pups that we currently have now. I will definitely have at least one kid. A boy: growing up I have always wanted to name my first boy Nathaniel but that’s to be determined now, ya know having to consult the future husband and all. By 7 years from now maybe even 2 kids and the second one a girl. Growing up I also had a name picked out for my first girl, Natalie. That was supposed to be my name but my oldest sister decided she didn’t like that name and went with what it is now. In 7 years hopefully we won't be still living in our home town. I don’t know where I would want to live but I do know that I would love to leave and explore the world more. But if we are still here I know that we will be surrounded by loved ones and they will be able to watch their niece/nephew, grandchild, and great grandchild grow up. With how the world is now, my current boyfriend and I have already decided that we are going to homeschool but will still keep them in sports to keep them social. I just hope that in 7 years either the world will be a much better place and we won't be scared of public schools or that public schools will allow homeschooled kids to join school sports. They will still follow all the same grading rules like public school in order to be eligible to play but it will keep them connected and grant them normal social skills they need to grow up.
With the way the world is now I strongly believe that homeschooling is what is best for all children. There are so many tools now on homeschooling than there have ever been and with technology improving every year it will be much easier for the parents. Now with the technology improving I hope that parents don’t just shove tablets in their kids faces and don't connect with them on a personal level. It is still very important to make sure that your kid gets outside and gets their proper cardio for them to get their bones fully growing. It is also a very great hack to take them to the park right before nap time so there is fussing and they go down like the perfect little angels they are.
In 7 years, I will be living my perfect life with my perfect life surrounded by everyone I love most.

If you could un-invent something, what would it be?
I strongly believe that world would be a much better place if there was no technology. I feel like it ruined the way people go on dates. How people meet. How children’s brains develop because parents just shove them in front of a tv to learn. Plus now all the AI that is being developed! That is the most terrifying thing to be created to date.
The way they can take one picture from any of the social media platforms we post on and make a video or a phone call saying things that we have never said. It’s wrong and I would love nothing more than to get rid of technology.

The time period you wish you could travel to and why?
I love this prompt! I’m definitely one of those people who believe they were born in the wrong time period. I listen to so much older music than I do any other music. Now I listen to 2000’s the most but I would love to travel to the 80’s I think.
80’s music is my favorite genre and it would be so amazing to live through that time when it all came out for the first time. Now the fashion is definitely 50/50 but I do love all the vibrant colors that came with it. Nintendo was a big hit; the arcade!? Amazing! Roller skating? Would love to learn! VHS tapes? Such nostalgia.
In my opinion, the 80’s were the best time to be a teenager!

What is your favorite family tradition and why?
When I think of family traditions, 2 pop into my head right off the bat. Growing up my family has always been super close and taught it. For a while it was just my mom and her 5 kids. During that time I believe that’s when we all got super connected without even realizing it. We would spend every single weekend down in Orange County with my nona to give my mom a break. Thanksgiving to Christmas was always the best time of the year for my family growing up.
The first family tradition that pops in my head is that we always bake Christmas cookies the day or a couple days after thanksgiving. We bake so many cookies there’s enough to feed a whole village. From the most basic cookies like chocolate chips to the cookies that literally have to sit overnight to bake like molasses, those are my favorite. The favorite part for us kids growing up is the sugar cookies. My mom and nona would cut the dough out in all sorts of Christmas shapes so that we could decorate them. I don’t think anyone ever actually liked eating the sugar cookies but somehow they would all be gone. Baking cookies with the family will always be a tradition that will fall down through all of our generations.
The second family tradition that comes to mind is how we celebrate Christmas Eve. Every single Christmas Eve for as long as I can remember we would all spend watching “White Christmas” the 1954 holiday classic. That movie holds a special place in my heart. It brings so much joy and holiday cheer. Ever since becoming an adult and that Christmas spirit has gone away, whenever I watch that movie it all comes flooding back and I’m back at my nana's house laying on the floor with all my siblings. Unfortunately that tradition has only followed me and my older brother. It is and will forever be my favorite family tradition and I cannot wait to show it to my kids and keep the tradition going.

What would your life be like if money wasn’t a problem?
Oh the world wide problem that everyone struggles with. I wish that money wasn’t a thing and don't hold as much power as it does. If money wasn’t a problem this world would be a much better place. But let's get creative and picture what my life would be like if money wasn’t a problem.
I would live somewhere by the beach. Actually I would have a beach house and then have a cabin somewhere in the mountains. But that’s not where I would live. No, I would live on my dog farm. A dog farm is my all time dream, I would love nothing more than to get rid of all shelters and pounds to save all the dogs in this world. I wouldn’t just have dogs on the farm, oh no I would have a full blown farm with every animal that you could think of. I would like a private jet so that I can travel around the whole world saving all dogs and animals in need of help. All the fancy cars to trace them safely to their new lovely homes. I would let my whole family live on the farm and choose whatever animals they want to keep as their own. They would have their own beach houses, their own mountain houses, their planes, whatever they would want because money is not a problem in this dream world.
With money not being a problem there would be no celebrities, no world hunger, no insane amount of gas prices, groceries, and inflation. Everyone would be equals and we would all live in harmony without any judgment because everyone gets to choose what they want to do in their life with all the money in the world. Oh what life would be like if the number one struggle in the world was never a problem.

“What’re your thoughts on the concept of living a very long life?”
I think it’s amazing to live a long life! I love seeing old couples who have been married for 40+ years, it warms my heart so much.
You learn so many amazing things when you live a long life. There is so much knowledge in this world and it is so great to be here long enough to learn everything you can and pass it down through your generations.
Seeing 4,5,6 generations of family is such a beautiful sight. I pray for those who don’t want to live a long life that Jesus opens your heart and eyes to see the beauty in it. I pray that we all are blessed with living long lives so we can see our children’s childrens and possibly even their children’s children’s!
It truly is one of the biggest blessings and I hope that this changes the minds of some🥰

If you had a freeway billboard, what would it say?
If I had a freeway billboard I would have it say “Jesus wants the broken the and lost”
Jesus loves and forgives all, no matter what. You may think you’re way past saving and that there is no hope for you but you are very wrong. Jesus forgives you. Everyday.
It is 1 simple sentence that can change the whole course of your life… “I accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.” Once you have spoken those words aloud you are saved. Now what you do after saying those words are entirely up to you but always remember that everyone is a sinner. Nobody is perfect expect Him. He loves you in all your faults and flaws because He made you perfect in His image.

Journal prompt-
January 5, 2024
Do you spend more time thinking about the past or present? Why?
Both..
I believe that I spend equal time thinking about both the past and the future.
I think about the past in a sense of how one single word, movement, decision, could’ve changed the present completely.
Then I think about how those decisions I made in the past will affect the decisions I make in the future. Everything in life is so perfectly lined up by our creator God and He has thought of every single possibility you could ever make. He knows exactly what will happen before you even know what you’re going to think, say, or do next.
It’s a struggling either always living in the past or always living in the future but no matter what we must always remember that every decision, movement, and thought are already planned and put in place by our creator.
