I had a dream last night that Deforest Kelley and his wife Carolyn came to the library where I work! Carolyn asked me if we had a certain book, and De asked me about my plans for the summer. I wanted to talk to him more, but there was a huge line of other patrons waiting!

I had to say goodbye to my special little buddy Zapper 4 days ago. 😢 I had him since I was 9 years old; he was 17. I'm just so sad!!!

raise a glass to the posts you love that end up deleted. to the fanart and fanfics you lose track of and can't locate. to the blogs you used to look through that ended up unexpectedly disappearing. to the things you didn't archive because you always assumed they'd be there.

I watched the episode "Charades" on SNW, and... idk man. It just doesn't seem to me that's what Spock would be like if he was turned completely human. Also, the idea that humans smell strange to Vulcans is weird. It's way too late in the game to make that a thing. I also didn't quite vibe with the casting choice for Spock's mother.
My next comment is a spoiler if you care about that.
Then there's Spock getting with Chapel and embracing his human side... :/
Another little thing I didn't care for was when Chapel was talking to the alien being "Yellow" (what's with the color names by the way?) and Yellow asked her what her connection to Spock was. When she said "he's my friend," Yellow said that was not a strong enough connection to make a complaint this late after what happened. I get that they are aliens and might have a different concept of what friendship is, but to me, all I was hearing was the shipping mentality that romance is ultimate. Granted, not every time people call someone a friend do they mean that they are super close. If I could make a change to the dialog, I would have Yellow ask Chapel to elaborate instead of jumping right to "not a strong enough connection."
I just had a lot of problems with this episode.

I just watched these Star Trek parody videos called Stalled Trek by Mark R. Largent... so dumb, but so funny!
