I love “Livin’ It Up On Top” so much—not just because it’s a bop (like all the other Hadestown songs)—but I especially love seeing everyone just be so darn HAPPY. You can see the whole ensemble—the whole cast—smiling and laughing it out in the dance segment and just throughout the entire song and it’s absolutely beautiful

Okay Full disclosure: I am so incredibly happy for Hadestown and all who were nominated for the Tony’s!

But honestly? Reeve Carney got snubbed. I’ve heard a lot of people compare him to Damon Daunno, and I get it, Damon was very good! But I also don’t see the point, Reeve and Damon are so good in their own ways. Damon has a smooth voice that’s very good for traditional jazz, whereas Reeve seems to have a more “New Orleans Jazz” tone to him. This is just my own opinion, and some people really may not like Reeve. But his la la la’s and his chemistry with Eva? Sorry but that shit is totally Tony worthy. He’s a cutie and I 100% stan him.

Despite him getting snubbed, the cutest thing in the world is the cast of Hadestown all posting stuff in social media telling Reeve how much they love him. Like name a more perfect and loving cast.
