Of London and Magical Encounters

I really didn’t know what to expect when I first got off the plane.

Actually, I knew it. Rain, clouds and a beautiful accent. But that’s just the cliché, right? 

I tend not to reflect my own expectations on what other people say. I wanna see things through my eyes and then decide what they’re going to be and mean to me. 

London is everything. And when I say “everything” you really need to consider the good parts and the bad ones.

London is expensive. SO EXPENSIVE. Like, if you wanna go there you have to be prepared to spend a lot, even if you just want to... survive. SURVIVE, I properly used this word because that’s what you’re gonna get. So MAKE SURE you save a lot before going. 

Besides, you really want to EXPERIENCE all the things this city has to give. And they’re a lot.

Money is the only issue here. At least to me. Because the freezing cold and the sometimes nerv-wrecking frenzy around the city (seriously, can’t people just take a moment to eat?) can get on the nerves of us Italians. We are family people, and by that I mean that we need to sit around a dinner table and discuss our day with someone we love. But that’s just us. 

But LONDON can give you the world if you’re willing to take it. If you’re willing to take the ride of a lifetime and just be SOMEONE ELSE. 

London offers limitless possibilities. The people I spoke to, they always said the same thing: MERITOCRACY IS A THING THERE.

And we’re not used to that, right?

Just to be able to accomplish what you want to do. To be what you want to be. You can do that. Because they let you grown, there is a reward. A light at the end of the tunnel. 

They see you’re worth it. They’re going to recognize that. And that makes all the difference in the world, doesn’t it?

‘But London isn’t just grown ups-stuff and work, it’s also a lot of fun. Whether it’s a club at 5pm full of business men having a beer and enjoying themselves or a breathtaking walk on London Bridge or a cup of hot cappuccino at Starbucks or Costas, you really can dive in into the heart of the city.

Because London has its own heart. And it beats so fast.

You kinda get lost in the frenzy. And it’s rad.

The places you go. THE PEOPLE YOU MEET.

The best encounters I had, the most magical ones, happened on the undergrounds, the trains. All different kind of people: married, single, singers, police officers, writers, book-readers, nerds, punks, moms with their kids, fathers with their kids... And asking for an information becomes something more. You get to know them in less than 20 minutes. And it’s just an exchange of experiences, you know?

That’s what surprised me. The kindness of these people. They were willing to talk and help and just share a part of their day with us. And they were happy about it. We met one girl and one guy, they didn’t know each other, and we were on a train. We started to talk and 15 minutes later we were taking pics and exchanging facebooks and making jokes. 

I think I’ll never forget this.

THE CITY. THE PEOPLE. THE LIVES. 

That’s what London is really about, you know? Different kind of people moving, living, walking, passing through what I call a World Crossroad.

Some people are saying that Elena's in love with Damon because of the sire-bond. In a script leaked for 4x08, Klaus talks to Charlotte about their sirebond and the fact that she loves him only because of that. THEY SAY THE SCRIPT IS FAKE, but it leaked months ago, and it's about 4x08. And there's a Charlotte. What a coincidence! 

CHARLOTTE MAKES A REVELATION TO DAMON ABOUT ELENA'S TRANSITION, and HE TAKES AN HEARTBREAKING DECISION ABOUT HER IN THE VERY SAME EPISODE.

Glee- Future episodes- Jarley

Glee Project's Blake comes into the picture as Ryder. A Finn-type of character. He's the quoterback. I think he likes Marley, and he will try to make her his girlfriend. They'll even play Sandy e Dany in the Grease ep.

That makes me sad. Jake will get jealous, as we can see in the promo, but I really hope Marley doesn't forget what she feels for him. I mean, the way they look at eachother, even if Jake is a jackass sometimes, it's undeniable, they're meant to be.

So this Ryder guy can try to steal Marley, but I still think she will always have a thing for Jake.

I'm so in love with Jarley! This Ryder guy can only be a good thing if he makes Jake jealous, but I don't wanna see him with Marley. Jarley is meant to be!
