Kazuya Mother-Fuckin'. Ass-Kickin', Ten-Hit-Combo-Stringin' Electric-Wind-God-Fistin', Korean-Back-Dashin' Father-Off-The-Cliff-Tossin', Akuma-Fightin' Mishima. I can genuinely think of no one better to put in a game like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

While there is certainly a case to be made for Jin and Heihachi, Kazuya's importance to video game history as a central figure of the Mishima Family Sitcom/3D fighter pioneer that is Tekken cannot be denied. Besides, Heihachi's busy with KOF All-Stars and I'm pretty sure Jin wants to take a nice long vacation after all the shit he's been through already. There were other great highlights from the Direct. I'm particularly very happy about Metroid Dread finally seeing the light of day, Danganronpa's Decadence collection (yes, I'm that kind of guy, I'm sorry, please dread the day when I get around to a moveset for a certain someone), Peach's Birthday Cake's iconic theme music getting a much needed HD remix, WayForward's Advance Wars reboot, and, of course, Breath of the Wild 2's absolutely stunning new world.

I know "Nintendo won E3 again lol" is an overused meme, but never has it been more true than 2021.
