Re: Martin Kove biting situation, it sounds like he’s now apologized both publicly and privately; although he got angry when first confronted by Alicia Hannah-Kim and her husband, once things had calmed down and the police had been there for a little while, he seemed to level out and apologized (both for the biting and for getting angry when confronted). Alicia Hannah-Kim’s chosen not to press charges. She does look clearly bewildered and shocked and angry in the bodycam footage, which she had every right to be. Honestly I felt glad to see her standing up for herself so unflinchingly bc I think a lot of women would be scared to do that, esp with an older and more famous costar.

She was so direct and casual in how she communicated with him it came off like they’re fairly familiar with each other; it’s seemed that way already from social media and such, but of course you can never really know. If they are friends or at least friendly, that makes the biting even weirder imo, bc she’s presumably spent a lot of time around him but was still shocked by the behavior (who wouldn’t be). Which would make me think that it’s not in line with his usual behavior, or goes way beyond it.

Given how inexplicable and public the incident was I’m still really leaning towards it being a sign of dementia or another neurological/neurodegenerative issue. The only explanation he’s given is just that he was playing/roughhousing and overstepped, but looking at the the context I can see him using that as an excuse because he’s also confused about his own behavior and/or embarrassed.

now feels like a good time to reiterate that Iranians have been martyred by america + israel already, both empires that possess nuclear weapons, and that Iran does not have nuclear weapons. so now is not the time to joke about america getting nuked-- any retaliation on Iran's part is justified and the only way we escape this situation, but Iran is not going to nuke us, because the entire premise that Iran has nukes is how america justified bombing them and also the exact same rhetoric we used against Iraq and how we killed my countrysmen when there was again no evidence of nuclear warfare. New York City is not going to get fucking nuked. go listen to a podcast or something
