this blog is an archive of wrought ironwork and steelwork seen in the old town of kyrenia, a wonderful historical port on the north coast of cyprus. it is made up of winding narrow streets, tall buildings that allow peeks of the liman through cracks between buildings, and restaurants concealed behind ornate wooden doored facades, courtyards a haven in the isolated beams of sunlight. there is a coolness and a quiet on the latticed cobbled streets even in the blanket of heat in the summer, among the bleached houses locals' open windows are veiled by net curtains and adorned with these metal grilles that i have archived here.
