My version of a Misophonia flag

I couldnt find any flags or symbols for misophonia that i liked so i just decided to make my own lol. The symbol is heavily inspired by the adhd/autism infinity symbols, but instead as a bat with large ears. I chose a bat because of how they are well known for their excellent hearing. I also chose to borrow from the autism symbol specifically because how many sensory struggles overlap between the two (at least in my experience).

Flag colour meanings i came up with:

Dark green: the FLIGHT in fight or flight, the feeling of anxiety and helplessness when hearing your trigger

light green: the feeling of loneliness/alienation from public spaces, the fear of hearing your trigger when going outside

White: the wide variety of triggers we all have, or the variety you may have personally. In general the white just represents our triggers

Pink/red: the sensory struggle we have, sound especially, but also including sight and smell etc. It always feels like my senses are hightened, as if we are listening out for my trigger. In my experience, ive developed triggers that relate to my main one (gum chewing) that even if I see someone chewing or smell mint, it stresses me out.

Dark pink/purple: the FIGHT in flight or fight, the harsh anger and awful thoughts we have when hearing your trigger

In the end this is just something silly I made to represent myself, if you find this fits you then feel free to use it. The colours are lowkey just my two favourites lol but in the end I think the green to red actuallt works well! I wish there was more misophonia representation so I'm trying to change that. affinqian: a quinbian gender related to the asterism (⁂) in relation to being a symbol of affinity. it is also connected to community, strength, empowerment, and taking pride in one’s queer identity.

🦋 Indigo Aspec 🦋

Indigo aspec is a label for those who are both aspec and conceptualise their experiences through affinity, and find both relevant to their identity. Indigo can be transferred onto more specific aspec identities, such as indigo aroace or indigo aplatonic, or it can be kept as is. Indigo aspec may present as any of the following experiences, but they're not comprehensive, and those who relate in a way not listed are welcome to identify as indigo aspec.

• Finding the intersection of these experiences relevant, important, or key to their identity.

• Feeling as though their experiences with aspecness and affinity are inherently intertwined.

• Feeling as though an understanding of either or both experiences can be developed or deepened by the acknowledgement of the other.

this term can be used for gender, orientation, aldernicity, nonhumanity, etc.

this is not a non-xenine umbrella, nor is it a xenine, but can be experienced xeinine, kenoine, kourous, etc

this term is inspired by Neon Genesis Evangelion, and my thoughts / feelings on it, but has no direct connections to Neon Genesis Evangelion ^^

luxine is an umbrella term centered around the ideas of divinity, light, holiness, and vastness.

luxine, similarly to soporine and kenochoric, is a gender umbrella that can also be used as a standalone identity. though some genders under its umbrella may also be xenogenders, neurogenders, etc., luxine genders are not inherently those things.

luxine can be freely combined with existing terms.

luxins, and luxine as a whole, have a connection to one or more of the following concepts:

holiness, divinity, purity, innocence, or joy

light, the sky, experiences of purity or pure beauty

learning, experiencing, creativity, living, and the joys of those things

feelings of loss, alienation, sorrow, or nostalgia
