TLDR: I am shutting down the blog. This blog will not be deleted. I'm not able to pass ownership onto someone else for privacy reasons.
I struggled with what I should do with this blog for a long time, but I've finally decided that I need to close it. I'm not able to run this, and I'm not comfortable with giving out the login info, as it was from the original owner of this blog. I have no way to contact them to ask if they would be comfortable with me sharing that.
If the owner ever wishes to start up the blog again, or contacts me to let me know they're fine with me giving out the login information to this blog, they are free to do so.
I am not deleting the blog. It will remain here.
I've closed the ask box. I will try to answer every ask within it before too long, and then this blog will be fully abandoned.

trauma culture is going through a tough and tense thing so many times you assume the actual answer is to just face it and see what happens

Trauma Culture is needing someone to answer a thousand questions correctly for you trust and work towards letting them into your life (Between being bullied for my plain below plain looks and my parents forgetting important things I say to them all the time it's a miracle I'm as sane as I am)

trauma culture is going into survivor spaces, seeing a bunch of people go "idk my trauma wasn't THAT bad i didn't go through [X experience]", and being immediately filled with rage at the people who gaslit you about it when you went through the exact experience they're comparing themselves to

Trauma Culture is learning to say "yeah sure" to things you do want (after unlearning a lot of paranioa, self isolation and not understanding why people you like are appealling to you with things they know you like & its not a trap)

childhood trauma culture is having people complement you by saying stuff like "you're so emotionally mature for your age" or "wow you could work as a therapist" and it not feeling like a complement at all, more like a slap in the face and a reminder of how you didn't get to be a child or have a normal/healthy childhood, especially when the "complement" comes from the parents who abused you in the first place. like yeah I had to be grown-up to survive what you put me through.

C-PTSD culture is having a panic attack whenever someone says ‘you may have to go to the hospital’ and being scared to leave the house for medical appointments, AND being scared to sleep in fear of waking up sick
