Travel Agencies vs Online Agencies
Travel Agencies have been around since the early 1900's in New York and has spread over the US, Canada and the World.
Why use a travel agency and here is some advantages:
We have the up to date specials from tour companies, Airlines, ad all other related travel
We have negoiated rates from airline tickets, package tours and more
Customer Service: We can provide better customer service. If you have issues with your travel product we can resolve it quicker
You are dealing with 1 or 2 people at the agency.
We have years of experience in selling travel to consumers.
Why using Online Travel Companies can be challenging
You are dealing with more than 1 or 2 people if you need to call. Its not personalized
The deals may not be as good as you think. Hidden cost like change fees on flights, upgrades on packages.
Insurance is never offered if you book online and that is a huge item to get when traveling.
Customer service. If an issue arises and you need to get help, it is horrible and can take weeks to months and up to a year to resolve.
The people on the phone lines are only order takers and not travel consultants.
The reason I am trying to get this out is that I use one of the large companies as well and the one time they helped me was horrible, and cant imagine what consumers go through. It has been a year and a half and still no resolution and my clients have given up. Unfortunately I lost them as a client because the incompetent why the matter was handled.
Travel Agencies like mine deal with the consumer directly and we are there every step of the way from the inquiry, to the booking, to the documentation, to the trip itself and the return from the vacation.
Please be careful in using some, as they are never what they seem.
A few years ago a lady in my city bought a cheap ticket to tthe island and paid just over $200. She needed to change it and the company she was dealing with didnt explain the rules. She ended up paying over $1200 for a ticket that should of been only $200. The online company lied and upgraded her ticket several times.
Please please be careful in dealing with them.

The Arrive Can App
Over the past few month's travelers have been forced to download and fill out this app to enter Canada.
Is it constitutional, some say yes, but the government has said no, this is intended to track people, well tracking people so they can set up their digital ID.
As we are aware of this app, Entering Canada cannot be denied by the government as the passport states that we can travel freely in and out of Canada.
The Travel Industry has been fighting to eliminate this app and eliminate all mandates associated with the Covid 19 virus. The government has not shown that this app to be viable as it has slowed down people from entering Canada through the borders and customs at the airports.
In the past month, Canadian's have traveled across the border and returned without downloading the App, refusing to show proof of vaccination and refusing to talk to Health officials. Many are given a kit to take home and are advised to quarantine.
The Government of Canada have no right to make it mandatory for travelers to give any information to them. If you refuse, they cannot detain you, fine you, as this is not a law.
I recommended that all travelers not fill out the app, refuse to talk to health officials and to refuse to quarantine. If everyone did their part, this App would be removed.
