Scarlet.

A colour she once hated yet is never seen without. A rose clipped to her hair. A ribbon woven in her braids. A bag sewn from a deep scarlet linen.

It was never intentional, the colour just seemed to accompany her everywhere she went. Yet as time passed she grew to ignore the scarlet that followed her every path.

It was never a bother to her, just something she inventiably noticed and brushed off. Afterall scarlet was a colour representing passion and love. Something that she deeply resonated with. Yet the boldness of such colour drew her to flinch against adopting it.

It was beautiful yet it was beautiful in a way she would only appreciate from afar.

Never had she ever thought that such a beautiful colour would bathe the body of her beloved. Scarlet dripped from his wounds as the sword that dealt the final blow lay in the tainted snow.

Pools of scarlet littered the battered body of the man she once promised eternity with. Bruised limbs and deep cuts cover inches of his being, a signal of a battle well fought.

As the soldiers around her rejoiced at their victory she could only lay motionless at the body of her lover. Scarlet dripped down from his wounds slowly returning his life force back to where it came. His once bright sapphire eyes that glimmered with curiosity now clouded over with a haze of ivory.

Lingering thoughts...

Memories of the long forgotten past often elude the younger twin, the joys of being worshipped by her people and the fondness they gave her, it brings back a rush of nostalgia that runs through her blood that drunkens her thoughts. Dopamine releases in her brain and makes her long for the past she cannot return to.

A soft yet sad smile graces her features as she thumbs the corner of the book in her lap. She reminisces the slain gods that used to be her companions and the sweet smiles they would give her as they helped one another. Yet her eyes slowly lower at the thought of them being forced to kill one another in a desperate plea to survive.

Had it not been for the spell that sealed them, she and her brother would have likely perished like the rest of them.

Maybe this was for the better. Decarabia only exhibited pity to them due to their young age, had it not been for him they would have been most likely been the first to be killed off.

Slowly she closes the cover of her forgotten book and places it on the table beside her, her tea long since grown cold.

She leans back and closes her eyes, such was the burden carried by the remaining archons, blood stained their hands, innocent or not many fought and slain one another to gain such title, outliers like her are burdened with the grief of witnessing such acts and the inability to save those who they hold dear.

One can only hope that with time, those wounds will slowly mend themselves and alleviate the internal conflict all within them. But as it stands now, the fire rages on as it licks their inner soul burning and leaving permanent marks for them to remember.

Hahahaha bear with my terrible writing since I'm not a writer by any chance- I might write a few of these if I see that a certain idea fits writing better than comics. These would probably be scarce tho since again I SUCK AT WRITING ahahahahaha

Forgotten Gods Au

Twin Gods that were once worshiped alongside the anemo archon. They were once revered and celebrated by their devotees, singging songs of joy and writing ballads that would carry their legacy amongst the wind. Their devotees would often times offer flowers and berries in hopes of recieving blessings of good fortune from the twins.

In the bloodshed of the war amongst the gods, both retreated into the mountain with their devotees in hopes of avoiding the gaze of those thirsty for the ichor of the divine.

In pity for the young twins Decarabia sealed them from the world.

A deep slumber the two fell, and as time passed their worshipers declined until they were nought but a passing memory to the people of mondstatd. Forgoten gods erased from the past, even their sanctuaries erroded by the wind.

Centuries past before the spell that once sealed them weakened enough wake them from their eternal slumber. Lost without their devotees and thrown in a new world, both now roam the lands of Teyvat wandering in the dark and observing from the sidelines.

Ok so I talked about an au where if I didn't have the twins as travelers this is probably their role. I've been mulling it over as well as reading up on the lore and damn💕 I have so many headcannons for them💕❤
