loki  feels  his  own  lips  twinge  upwards  in  another  amused  smirk  as  she  so  readily  agrees  to  pursue  the  promise  of  sweets,     but  then  her  comment  of  appreciating  any  small  chance  to  stretch  her  legs  causes  the  tiniest  amount  of  strain  to  tighten  his  smile.          at  least  perhaps  today  could  make  up  for  the  amount  of  time  she’s  lost  to  the  satin  &  golden  clad  walls  of  the  palace.          it  would  do  them  both  good  to  get  some  air  and  enjoy  the  festivities.

the  melodic  sounds  of  pan  flutes,     horns  &  harps  greet  the  two  as  they  stride  out  into  the  courtyard  where  a  beautifully  arranged  celebration  was  unfolding  among  the  nobles  that  also  lived  their  lives  among  the  buildings  of  the  golden  palace.          women  in  ceremonial  fabrics  danced  and  swayed  around,     men  drinking  gallons  of  amber  ale  under  streamers  hung  in  brilliant  spring  colors.                    ❛          Ostara.         ❜               loki  speaks  the  word  like  a  long  lost  friend.               ❛          a  celebration  of  the  changing  seasons  and  nature’s  rebirth.         ❜

the  god  places  a  pale  hand  overtop  tara’s  against  his  velvet  green  sleeve  to  keep  her  at  his  side  as  he  guided  their  path  to  the  plentiful  smorgasbord  set  out  for  people  to  have  their  fill.          the  main  features  being  egg  dishes  to  celebrate  spring,     the  plates  offering  roasted  &  boiled  meats,     luscious  fruits,     rich  stews,     heady  wines,     homemade  cakes   &   tarts.          all  steaming  with  freshness  and  mouthwatering  scents.               ❛          feel  free  to  help  yourself  to  whatever  you  feel  like.         ❜               he  urges  her.

The weremagi peeked up at the god’s expression, his smile spreading to her and helping her relax more as they approached the courtyards. She chuckled fondly when he mentioned venturing to find desserts. “That is a detour I’d be happy to take. Honestly though… I’ll follow you just about wherever just to be able to walk around. Hey, maybe I’ll finally learn more about where everything is in here.” She gave an honest laugh and looked up at Loki for a moment before turning back to the expansive hallway, taking in the details of the walls and decor. She had no reason to go many places, so she never really explored the expansive palace except for where she frequented and their immediate areas.

As they got closer, she could faintly hear laughter and maybe some music, and started to smell something savory in the air. She couldn’t quite put her finger on what exactly it was, but it was starting to make her mouth water. “So is this to celebrate something, or just to party for the sake of partying?” She questioned curiously, peering ahead to try to spot their destination and see what sort of festivities they would be joining.
