Cullen sighed and walked into the tavern. He wanted to talk to Bulk about a few things. He looked around, not noticing him he grumbled and sat down at the bar. Did bull realize he was on a tight schedule?

Maybe I’m biased because I make my own clothes, but skirts are better than trousers because you can put bigger pockets in skirts. With trousers, you’re limited to the size of your leg but with skirts you can just fill it up and people will just assume you’re wearing a petticoat until they hear the crunch of the Dorito bags.

Just once I’d like the see an historical heroine be asked if it bothers her that she has to wear skirts and have say, “Not really. I couldn’t fit this in a waistcoat.” and just pull out a loaf of bread or something and start eating it right in front of the baffled male lead.

It would work great in the 1700s with those removable pockets, you could fit a couple of Italian loaves in there.

Evelyn smiled, grateful to feel so understood by someone. That expression widened as she heard what the other said about Master Harret. "I'm glad we remind you so much of another place. It's reassuring to hear that we're more like home than we appear." Her gaze grew mischievous as she signaled for the two of them to move out, heading for the last ocularum she had spotted when she was at Redcliffe Farms. "I think I might like to see you throw Harret. I'll let you know if he gets too uppity about modifying my armor, and you can practice your toss."

"Yes, there are few people I'd want by my side in peace and in war more than Cassandra and Varric, but certainly not together. Sometimes I like a little peace."

“I’ve had everyone from Avvar to the Carta after me. Raiders in places they shouldn’t be are the least of my problems, I suppose.” Her eyebrow quirked, noting the blatant challenge in the Qunari’s tone. She supposed it was rather refreshing to meet someone who didn’t immediately fall to their knees at the side of her. “Hope you don’t mind cliff faces. I’ve got a knack for rock climbing, and I’m often too impatient to find a sane way to get where I need to go. That more than anything is probably why I have so little luck with companions for shard hunts.”

The challenge was clearly met. Evelyn knew her own capabilities, but did Asaaranda meet them?

“To be expected when you have a glowing green target on you. But if you think it’s luck I just hope that luck doesn’t rub off on me.” she shakes her head at the mention of the others “Well yeah, the talkative dwarf didn’t look like he much liked his boots touching grass let alone rock climbing. But come on I’ve got built-in climbing hooks.” she shows her strong claw-like nails uniques to the Vashoth. “ And you needn’t worry about ability, I’ve spent most of my life trekking Par Vollen and Seheron. Though you seem pretty eager for someone who spent the majority of their life in a circle.”

She snorted at the rather apt description of her author friend. "Ah, Varric is a bit of a city boy, that's true, but there's no one better to have in a tavern brawl...or anywhere that isn't raining." She admired the Vashoth nails with no slight amount of envy. "Maker, I wish humans were so well equipped. I've spent my time since leaving the Circle desperate to see the world, so I've gotten in the best shape I could to do it, but Andraste knows I could use something better than my shitty broken nails." She looked at her companion with kind eyes. "How are you adjusting to the Inquisition?"

Asaaranda waited patiently at the designated camp near a waterfall. Her eyes wandering as she quietly observed the scouts inhabiting the camp alongside her. What a choice lot these are. Though I suppose you can’t be picky when the sky is disintegrating. She perked up at the sound of footsteps coming up behind her “Ah, Herald, you made it. The dispatch said you needed me to help watch your back while looking for these shards. They said you found them looking through skulls. It’s a bit… Creepy, but there’s been worse I suppose.” she tries to keep her eyes on Trevelyan’s face but they can’t help but fall to her glowing hand.
