Back with a sketch of Metroid Prime 4. Really excited for the game to eventually release.

I made a one page zine based on Scavengers Reign as part of a 24 hour challenge.

I did a basic test print on 11 x 17" paper to make sure that the format was working. I've uploaded the zine for free to itch.io (feel free to print off and share with friends who have seen the show!)

Project Robot

I didn't end up watching the Game Awards because I was at work, but I did watch the trailer for the new game from Fumito Ueda and gendesign. Super excited to see what he and the team and creating next. Might need to get a Playstation 5 just to play the game and Sword of the Sea.

Created in Blender and Photoshop. Attached is the "raw" render before I edited and drew over it. It took me about an hour (still trying to get used to working in Blender).

Made with Blender and Photoshop. The scale is all wonky (the siren is massive for some reason) but this was a fun experiment in combining 3D and 2D.

Telluride is now finished and released! This was a fun project. I'm really enjoying working with the limitations of pixels in creating typefaces. You can get it for free here:

Working on another pixel font, this one is kind of inspired by Western films like True Grit.

I have to do a lot of adjustments and changes, including kerning so that it looks nice when typed out.

I worked on this simple substitution cipher for the past couple of months, which I decided to call Alphabetare. It was originally an experiment in making a cursive pixel font, but it evolved from there into something else.

I uploaded Alphabetare to Itch.io, you can download it for free there along with some other fonts that I worked on.

Currently on Volume five of Witch Hat Atelier and really enjoying the story. Richeh is a character that I really like.

Another limited color palette drawing (mint, bisque, and gold). Wanted to try to mimic the crystal ribbons that Richeh likes to conjure.

In a Discord server, we were talking about Midna from Twilight Princess and I remembered that I had this old "redesign" that I had done back in 2016. I had just finished playing the game on the Wii for the first time and was really inspired by super lacy gossamer shawls.

Some of the concept art for Midna featured tassels on her cloak, and I really wanted to bring that into the design.

Midna kind of looks less "princess-y" here and more like an assassin, which kind of fits with her whole idea of getting revenge against Zant at the beginning of the game.

This was kind of fun to do, I haven't revisited some of my older work and it's nice to see some growth.
