HE IS FIFTEEN IDIOTS!!

I am feeling disgusted and disturbed about what has happened with a *FIFTEEN YEAR OLD CHILD* shouldn’t need to point this out but frankly speaking a group of High School kids should NEVER. EVER. Be getting death threats. This sort of crap needs to stop. The incident  I’m referring to is the one where there were 15yr old boys being doxed and threatened because their school told them to protest for pro-life while wearing the Make America Great Again hat is disgusting (Found here https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-46943364 ). Let’s be real. The kid was FUCKING FIFTEEN!! UNDER AGE! CAN’T EVEN DRIVE. CAN. NOT. DRIVE!! CAN NOT VOTE. CAN NOT DO SHIT FOR HIMSELF. HE. IS. A. CHILD. The issue here is a fifteen year old was told to do something on behalf of his school and people attacked him for it. The kid doesn’t even know crap about the world beyond his parents’ ideas and those his school shows. Do you know what I thought at 15? I thought the war in Iraq was justified, had a low death toll, and was a good idea. I grew out of that as I actually learned a lot about what was going on. This kid is 15. A child. Stop threatening children.  Anyone who has shared a meme about killing a child should be ashamed of themselves, and frankly are disgusting pieces of crap. The kid did nothing racist, nothing wrong, and nothing beyond standing there looking like an uncomfortable child with a drum in his face that was kinda freaked out by it. Look at his eyes, the way the lips tighten, the body language. This wasn’t a smirk it was a nervous smile as a fifteen year old had a drum beaten in his face by an old man. All of this aside, he was a kid. even if he was guilty he’s 15. Fucking fifteen. The thing that would help is calmly going “Hey, this was kind of racist because x, y, and z.” not getting the stakes and pitchforks ready. FOR. A. CHILD. I’m sorry but teenagers are children and any adult who DARES to say otherwise should be deeply ashamed of themselves. I don’t care *WHERE* you are on the political spectrum. Let’s leave the kids out of it. No more doxing them, threatening them, threatening their schools. I’l be honest I’m against the doxing, death threats, and violence all together and don’t think it actually creates *ANY* form of social change. That being said if for some reason there has to be violence/doxing/etc lets do the right thing and leave the kids out of it? Please? There were kids as young as 10 at that school that had death threats, there was a 15 yr old boy that had death threats, and there are kids that are afraid to go to sleep tonight because of the strangers on the internet that thought bullying a child was ok.

As a Bostonian I wish I could say I was surprised by this...

So I’m staying at a friend’s house in Boston

And in their guest room is a door.

And my first thought was closet. Just an ordinary, tiny, New England closet.

But no!

There are STAIRS in that closet!

Now where do those stairs go, you may ask?

Up to the black void attic of course.

But you know, it doesn’t seem to end there.

Because for reasons no one seems to know, this door deadbolts from inside. There’s nothing but a black void up there. Why must it lock on that side of it???

Of course, it was then that I spotted something else.

Why yes, those ARE scratch marks on the inside of the door. Which, one might think dog because they’re so low on the door (only a third of the way up).

But you know, this wouldn’t be fun if that was all there was.

That deadbolt has scratches all around it too.

Funzies!

Because guess what.

That deadbolt is five feet off the ground. And there is no dog in this house tall enough to reach it.

Pretty sure I just entered a horror film.

Here’s the deal.

When comics(Marvel) refuse to allow diverse characters to have their OWN comic and characters instead choosing to replace known characters temporarily it’s a problem. Why? Because of the backlash. It’s just like when a movie about a superheroine fails...they blame the audience and then don’t have to make anymore superheroine movies. The reality is both sides of #comicsgate are getting played by the corporations so that they do not HAVE to be diverse. Not to mention the fact that the idiot writers have turned characters into limited edition items where their diversity replaces a personality trait. Mainly because: If a character is replacing a well known character and their BIGGEST trait is that they are diverse it creates a straw man that allows for a temporary change that stereotypes women/lgbt/minorities/etc. NONE of this is going to be permanent and the amount of fighting is being used to drive up profits and to decrease diversity further. Please remember comic companies ARE COMPANIES and therefore in it for the profit. They DO NOT CARE beyond the amount of money they can make.  I make this claim for the following reasons:  1. I cannot name THREE personality traits of ANY of these supposedly “Diverse” characters.

2. The traits I CAN name are stereotypes.

3.. No press is bad press - the arguments are increasing awareness about comics and therefore sales. 4. On the topic of Batwoman...not ENOUGH of a Lesbian?! I’m offended AF about that stereotype = bad k? Seriously I NEVER want to be told I am not enough of a Lesbian wtf?! Also doesn’t look Jewish enough? Erm...that’s also uncomfortable...look at history a minute...I’ll wait. The point of that being there *ISN’T* a look and if you are throwing a fit about the fact that she doesn’t have a non existent look erm...yeah...I’ve some history links for you. 

Finally I have to ask...WHY DOES THIS CRAP *MATTER*!?!?! No seriously WHY!?! We have people being denied passports and forced to prove their citizenship in the border states of the US because they are of Hispanic descent. We have a CRAZED FASCIST LUNATIC in the White House trying to put someone on the supreme court that will SET US BACK DECADES AT LEAST! We have voter ID laws. We STILL HAVE *CHILDREN* SEPARATED FROM THEIR PARENTS IN DETENTION CENTERS!! Students go into 50,000+  dollars worth of debt JUST TO ATTEMPT TO GET A JOB SO THEY CAN PAY OFF THE DEBT! We have MORE ABANDONED HOUSES THAN HOMELESS PEOPLE BUT STILL HAVE HOMELESS PEOPLE!! OH AND WE’RE KILLING THE FREAKING PLANET!! THIS IS ONLY THE TIP OF THE ICEBERG REGARDING STUFF IN THE US THERE ARE *MASSIVE* PROBLEMS EVERYWHERE AND YOU IMBECILES ARE HAVING HISSY FITS OVER COMIC BOOKS?! 

The rage is good but USE IT TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE STATE OF THE WORLD RATHER THAN ALLOWING YOURSELVES TO BE CAUGHT UP IN SUPPOSED “ACTIVISM” THAT ONLY SERVES TO DISTRACT YOU FROM THE DAMAGE CORPORATIONS AND IMPERIALISM ARE DOING GLOBALLY!!! Think about it - it’s a conspiracy if you are paying attention to stupid debates about comic books and spending all your energy on THAT then you ARE NOT FIGHTING THE THINGS THAT NEED TO BE FOUGHT IN REAL LIFE. That is what the Corporations and the Fascists WANT! THEY WANT TO CREATE MORE DIVISION AND LESS UNITY SO THAT WE HAVE A HARD TIME ORGANIZING. In light of this...let’s just cal it a night. Stop complaining about #comicsgate and spend that energy actually FIGHTING for TRUE diversity, rights, and freedom?! If it’s that bad write/draw you OWN COMICS AND DONATE THE PROCEEDS THAT YOU GET FROM PATREON TO THE CAUSE OF YOUR CHOICE!! Seriously STOP getting so worked up over actresses/actors or comic books and unite to make the world a better and more equal place.
