alright, had some time to think about this.

im going to be removing all of my art, and i will no longer be posting art on social media. i draw for fun, i like sharing things to bring joy to others as well. art is something im very passionate about, and having people take my work to sell and use for ai is upsetting. people have stolen my work before many times in the past and present, and now with the ceo being a piece of transphobic shit ontop of all this i think ive hit my limit.

like that one post going around, i dont have any more "create new accounts" left in me.

faux headcanons/observations cause i looked way too deep into a character xd

under a readmore cause of spoilers for the end of the game

TL;DR: i think that faux is just a guy whos too chained by his roots and couldnt escape so he took it out on everyone around him in the absolutely worst way possible

Long version: i personally feel like faux has a LOT of unspoken issues, which is kind of hinted at in some dialogue/cutscenes

this entire conversation really felt like he had to uphold a perfect image so he wouldnt (couldnt) tarnish his fathers reputation. he had to do what it took to survive, even if it meant throwing his fellow writers under the bus. his perception on being a writer starts to warp and change because of this, turning into what he is now. also immediately being put into a machine he didnt have time to cope with anything, his anger just got worse. (i think that the death of Berlage was his doing as a way of having control, as he probably felt that he couldnt escape his roots and his ties to the police.)

i do find it interesting that he starts stuttering and panicking, which to me felt like a last ditch attempt to be accepted and understood in some form.

this line really stood out to me, as they are (assumed to be) similar in age. i think that maybe he went through abuse (presumably by his father), so that he views his body as aged.

i think that he really did trust felix, and felix became an anchor for him; in a very unhealthy way. when felix left to go solo, he felt that his stability went with it and was betrayed and angry. so he took it out on him in the worst way he could.

he didnt want to be left behind again, to be abandoned by his crew, so he tried to make it so he was the only one left. so there wasnt anyone around that could betray him.

I've been thinking of that one piece you did with Faux putting on the Cyberhead esp what u put in the tags abt the idea that Faux comes back as Red postgame. I usually go with the theory/HC that an ai was made for red but your idea is super interesting.

like it would make sense for Faux to go by Red now bc outside of the law/police force the BRC, DJ Cyber/Futurism and the other rival crews most likely hate his guts now ( along with like the civilians that had to witness the events of the storymode ) i'd love to learn more abt this au/headcanon btw!

eyyy! i also share the hc that red comes back with an ai, its pretty neat! i kinda swap between the red ai hc and the red!faux one to be honest

i started thinking more about faux and just his overall situation and read waaay too deep into his character/actions so i became this while thinking about the hc/au

ill slap it under a readmore, unsure if its considered spoilers but it is post-game

so the idea is that after the game escher finds faux's head/body and put him back together. the two talk it out, and he gives faux the option to start new, much like how he did with red earlier in the game. knowing this is his last chance to finally get rid of his roots; to finally get away from the police, he takes it.

knowing that everyone hates him or is after him he dons a fake cyberhead from escher and starts a new identity. he hides away from everyone and never talks, not wanting to get close to anyone and be betrayed again (or to get involved with others, he doesnt need another target on his back). he slowly changes into a person who enjoys being a writer for the sake of it again like he used to, the chains of his past slowly coming off of him.

does he end up running into BRC or the other gangs later on? possibly, im unsure on how that would play out, although he might be given a chance if he seemed genuine in wanting to/has changed. (thats assuming they figure out its faux in the first place)

I really love your art with Chai and Zanzo! Do you have any nsfw head canons with them since you’ve already talked about your other head canons? If you’re uncomfortable with that, I’d like to know more about that Defunded! Zanzo au you’ve got going on, sounds really interesting to see how that would change the story and how he’d be with the rest of the team

aaaa thank you so much!!! i dont really dabble too much in NSFW so i dont have headcanons with that, sorry! the au itself is still in the works (im a bit slow making this, never made an au before):

it starts off normal, but instead of zanzo getting whacked at the end he blocks it with his other sword and we get a proper bossfight. its mainly trying to de escalate the situation (which chai fails at) and trying to bribe him to give them the passcode, and he asks whats in it for him. peppermint steps in and suggests "hey you can study chai" which chai is like "sure-wait what." and macaron does NOT want to work with zanzo, but if it gets someone on their side he will tolerate him. barely.

zanzo, realizing that hes not gonna get anymore funding for a long time, being emotion fueled and probably annoyed at roquefort as it is; agrees, surprising them all. he would probably give a bit more info since hes on the inside, but since he doesnt care much about it he might not remember much of it

not gonna lie i found it a bit odd that during korsicas levels, chai mentions how "well" talking to someone to give them the passkey worked out, when he hasnt done that yet at that point? (at least as far as im aware, could be misremembering) so im tying the whole "hey you failed to do that with zanzo" into that comment so it makes more sense dfsdnfh

i dont think any of them would really get along at first, being very reluctant and tense with some arguing. from the groups pov zanzo becomes someone they can rely on since his ideas are more creative; he thinks outside the box, and he is smart/ can help with tech stuff. zanzos pov he loosens up a little as they acknowledge and respect his intelligence, no longer needing to prove himself and is able to do what he wants. he gets a lot from figuring out how chai works and helps him get stronger, which helps himself and his own creations

thats all i got at the moment, hopefully its alright! i still need to iron out some things/think about more details, but anyones free to give out ideas/use this au if they want :]

holy crap thank you! i was a bit worried i was spamming them LOL i dont mind talking about them at all! apologies in advance if its not worded the best/a bit scattered!

honestly a lot of it is "theres potential here, i like their chemistry", but theyre also both big dorks in their own right

im gonna ramble below of some ideas/headcanons i have for them:

kinda barebones atm but one is an AU/canon divergence with zanzo's whole fight after he gets defunded (we shouldve had a proper boss fight), which is basically "what if they convinced him to help fight against kale" (since he doesnt seem to really hold an attachment to spectra or the company? just does whatever he wants; chaotic neutral) and with that was the promise of studying chai, since he wanted to learn more about his enhancements and cause hes got nothing else to lose at that point he agrees (basically no one is happy about this but its better than nothing). hed also be interested in 808's and her connection to chai

this version of him is what im calling the Defunded! version (hair down/wires tied back; ngl it started off cause i thought it looked cool and i suck at drawing mohawks LMAO)

chai seems to be genuinely impressed with technology (ex: ar labs), and since zanzo likes being the smartest person in the room, he creates things to show off. i like to think that he would eventually make an attempt at creating upgrades for his arm, to push chai and his potential to the limit

zanzo also holds some respect for chai, as hes the only boss to not refer to him as a defect. examining chai would also help himself be able to build stronger robots, and to give him inspiration for new ones since chai is unique in how he functions. he tests them on chai and claims its "training" for him.

if given the chance i think the two would have some pretty good banter, they both seem to humor eachother without the other getting frustrated. they also both have brat energy and would definitely sass eachother on the most mundane things

i also love the whole "one person is interested in another one for 'buisness' reasons, ends up getting attached" trope which i feel fits these two pretty well. zanzo doesnt like people messing with his experiments/test subjects and would see chai as his and be very possessive

chais core changes rhythm depending on his emotional state, which zanzo then experiments to find out what causes the bpm change, much to chais embarrassment

definitely would take them awhile to realize "hey i kinda like them more than i should" and with that comes panic and denial. slowburn status

chai gets flustered easily, and is horrible at hiding it. zanzo i see him not being completely aware that his actions can come off flirty, but when hes by himself and/or realizes he overthinks and becomes a mess. they are both disasters.

chai seems to have a lot of self worth issues, which i think zanzo also shares to some degree? chai acts like he knows what hes doing when he really doesnt and is more insecure; and zanzo seems to want people to actually take him seriously and acts smarter than he really is. they both hide behind an outgoing persona. would they ever let their guard down and show that side of them? who knows :]

chai likes watching zanzo work on his robots, not understanding anything hes being told but liking the passion the other has for his work. chai would also mess with him given the chance, nothing actually damaging though.

since chai never got that gift basket, maybe zanzo would make him one as a confession

and thats all i can think of off the top of my head, i hope you like them!
