I'm alive! Seems like I can't go six months without a disaster befalling me, but I'm working on the comic again and have a page in final draft stages. Won't be posting on a regular schedule because clearly that's not effective!! Anyway here's a little morsel for ya.

Hello! My hiatus is going on a bit longer than planned. I got my dream job which is SO exciting and a very big deal for me after many years of struggling.

I'll upload this page as soon as its done, probably this weekend! After that, updates will happen as they happen for the next few months, probably every 3 weeks. I intend to take it slow, take a few more art workshops, and dive into the summer.

Howdy readers! Regarding updates: this is the first time I've had a moment in a while to actually get on a laptop in over a week.

I missed this weekend's deadline due to some personal responsibilities and health issues that came up. I will post the next update as soon as it's finalized, probably this weekend. It's not a great stopping point, but I'm very excited for the page. Trying some new things with composition.

After that I will be taking the rest of March and all of April off to re-build the buffer I lost when I got sick earlier this year. April is my birthday month and I'll be taking two art workshops on figure drawing as a gift to myself. I'm so excited! I've never taken an art class before, so want to give myself some time to absorb what I learn without the pressure of an update schedule.

A huge thank you to everyone for reading and sharing--I love adapting this story, it's so near and dear to my heart and love reading your tags and getting asks. I won't be totally absent--stay tuned for some sneak peaks and sketchbook shares over the next month and a half! I generally post my art over at @deacons-wig unless its directly from the comic, but if it's Jeanne and Deacon I'll reblog it here.

Thank you so much! I wanted him to feel very independent, like he's his own man just following a new friend around but also doing his own thing. Smelling stuff, pointing out stalkers, etc. etc.

Fun fact, Jeanne renamed Dogmeat to Bones in honor of her nerdy pre war friend who was a big fan of the series Space Quest which featured a grumpy doctor who she reminded him of...

Not a reference to any real world scifi series with a doctor named Bones, nope... /s
