⭐⭐⭐

I really liked the premise of this book, and I did enjoy the world and it's mechanics. I didn't care for the main character, however, and found that he was the reason I dawdled through this one.

In truth, this was actually much more entertaining as a concept than the previous Four Horsemen story I tried. It was fun, quirky, if a bit slow at times. If you don't let yourself get too deep into the MCs train of thought, it honestly isn't a bad read.

We will pretend I did an update for the second book in this series (or another book I read on Kobo) because I am allowed to be lazy once in a while, LMFAO.

I thoroughly enjoyed this trilogy. Truly. It was deep, magical, and had tons of character development I wasn't really expecting, if I'm to be honest. It's everything I wanted from a Dragonlance series. There wasn't really any moments where I felt I needed to put it down because it was slow; the pace throughout was very good and kept grabbing me, and thus continues to prove that these books are superior.

Highly recommend!

It's not a London trip if I don't visit this place. I got some novels in translation by a small publisher that would be quite inconvenient to find elsewhere. Getting complimented for my cardigan was a sweet bonus. The loveliest of Autumn days.

Let's justify adding these to my TBR so that I feel less guilty.

This is How You Lose the Time War by Amal El-Mohtar and Max Gladstone

Aside from everyone under the sun recommending this book, which I always find so fascinating a concept. People who have strongly diverging tastes in books, congregating together to recommend this one, all must mean this is a wonderful book! Fairly likely the next book club book, so I figured I would be a bit preemptive!

Buried Deep by Naomi Novik

Naomi Novik is one of my favorite authors. I saw this as an ARC and have been dying about it sense, most specifically, that one of my all time favorite books is featured! Novik added the original short story that would then become Spinning Silver, a book that I've purchased and given away perhaps 5 times? This has been on my list, so a sale is a perfect reason to snatch it up.

Bookshops & Bonedust (SE HC version!) by Travis Baldree

I needed to get the companion for my lovely HC version of Legends & Lattes, so why not! I love this series, and I'm sure I'll give it a reread. I'll likely give away my paper back copies, and display the hardbacks <3

Somewhere Beyond the Sea by T. J. Klune

T. J. Klune is such a wonderful author. Witty, humorous, kind, and empathetic. A stunning sequel to a lovely book!

⭐⭐⭐⭐

I sped through this.

I love this world so much, and the characters within. I had some reservations at the start because I didn't feel super attached to the twins, but my opinion of them has changed a lot now that I'm finished this.

Just wow.

The writing and world building never ceases to amaze me. I'm always on the hook at every turn. Already am working on the second book in this trilogy. Love love love.
