My apologies for the silence, I've been trying to get things together and I am finally getting there! Those interested in the books please don't fret, I haven't forgotten I promise! The summer weather has been nice and I've been getting out a lot more than before

5.1.24 - collection update! Details below

Bottom row is TNG, the other five are TOS (the turned ones are just reads in progress!). Most are numbered, but not all! The horizontal books are hardcovers! All of shatner's books are hardcover, bc why not (there are vertical hardcovers on a different shelf I know, they didn't fit)

The books on the top facing a different direction: the three left columns are duplicate copies of TOS books, the next is TNG, then DS9, and Voyager! I've stuck to TOS and TNG mainly, theres just so much content in star trek it can be overwhelming otherwise!

Anecdotes from the filming of TOS last episode

This is taken from the account by Joan Winston (an ABC television employee and Star Trek fan), about her two-week visit to the studios, when they were filming Turnabout Intruder. The account was published in the book Star Trek Lives! (Lichtenberg, Jacqueline 1975).

At this point, Shatner was severely ill with the flu, and they barely managed to film the intro scenes of the episode (the last material to be filmed, actually) before he collapsed on a couch. After this, they started dismantling the sets for the bridge, the transporter room, etc. Pretty poignant.

Guess who finally made their card! It's taken forever but they're being printed; I'm going to put one in each of the duplicate copies of Trek books that I have before leaving them in little libraries around my area 😄🖖
