A Sea of Green and Red ch. 19 (A BakuDeku Mermaid Au)
Chapter 19: Solid Ground
Gone were the days of happiness and fun. There was a big battle to prepare for. One that they would very well lose if they weren't careful and didn't trust one another.
There was only two humans on their team but even they they needed all of the mer kingdom to trust them in this battle.
As promised Katsuki had spoken with the king with Kirishima. At first it hadn't gone anywhere but over time they eventually called a truce. They both agreed that the fate of the merpeople was far more important than Katsuki bedding the prince's intended.
But they would speak of it after apparently.
As promised the word was sent out to the kingdom. Those that wished for safety would go to the deep sea caves to hide until word was sent that it was safe. They were upset about leaving their homes but they knew that the caves were much safer.
To Katsuki's surprisedthere were many mermen and mermaids that actually wanted to stay and fight. Most of them were the guards of the kingdom but there were others that weren't that were ready to make a stand against the humans for their home.
The guards showed Katsuki and Kirishima, as well as those who weren't well versesd in the ways of battle, how to fight underwater more fluidly. It was a little more difficult for the humans but they found a basis of what to do and manipulated it to work in their favor.
The water was their grand advantage. If they got them into the water it would make things easier to fight them off.
But that was more than likely where the battle would not be taking place. Katsuki knew his crew and he knew that they did everything they could to not end up in the water whenever there was an altercaton to be had.
That's where his knowledge came in. With Iuzku teaching how to grow their legs, for those that had no idea how, and Katsuki with teaching them human battle techniques. He always warned them to never leave themselves open, to always make sure they were protected.
This crew would fight dirty.
On a suggestion they used kelp leave to press over their mouths. Mina had suggested that even if their kiss was gone they would need to use these to protect themslves just in case one of them was grabbed and forced to kiss.
If anyting they were more than read tof ight. At least that's what Katsuki hoped for. With how Izuku described Shigaraki before he had left he was sure the man was unhinged after not getting what it was he wanted.
At dawn they were ready. They were near the island and the ship was getting close. The merfolk were under the water, waiting.
Their main goal was to bring them in an area where they would have an advantage. In order to do that they would need to take down the ship.
With enough force they could take the ship down.
It hurt Katsuki to think that they would need to take down the ship that was one his home. He had been there when the ship had been first gotten. He had helped take care of it and took pride in it whenever they sailed away with a win.
Now it was just a bitter reminder of his old life and the people that he used to be around. It wasn't as great as he had once thought it was.
“Ready?” Kirishima asked next to him. Katsuki clutched the sword that he had been given. It had seen better days being under water for so long but it was all they had that wasn't made of stone.
“Ready as I'll ever be,” Katsuki said with a scowl, double checking his fire arm. He honestly couldn't wait to see Shigaraki's face when he realized that he was still alive.
And that Kirishima and himself were there to fight for the merfolk.
Izuku popped his head out of the water and swam closer to shore. Despite Katsuki urging him to go to the sea caves with his mother he had refused to go despite being pregnant. He wanted to fight. He wanted to protect his home.
He wanted to see Shigaraki's reign stopped.
“Kacchan!” Izuku called out as he tugged the kelp away from his face. Katsuki waded into the water, resting his hands on his arms.
“Izu, what are you doing? We're about to go into battle,” Katsuki said, worriedly looking at the fast approaching ship.
“I wanted to give you a kiss for good luck,” Izuku said. Katsuki rose a brow. He knew something but he trusted him.
“By all means then,” he said, gently cupping his cheek and guided their lips together in a gentle kiss once more.
Izuku knew. Oh he knew. He knew very well what was happening.
He remembred what they said about them following him. No doubt the captain had his eyes on the forbidden prize. So Izuku was showing him just what he wanted him to see. Giving his kiss once more to the man who deserved it, who was very much alive.
The two of them pulled back slowly and Izuku leaned in to whisper into his ear.
“When this is all over...I want to celebreate privately with you,” he said into his ear. Katsuki felt his skin get warm and he wrapped his arms around his merman.
“You little...” he said with a soft laugh. “You know how to get a man all hot and bothered before a battle hm?”
“You know I do,” Izuku said, leaning back to cup his face. “Just promise me you'll come back to me. That you'll stay safe.”
There was worry in his green eyes. Now that Izuku had shown Katsuki and Kirishima were alive no doubt they would be targets. It was clear on Katsuki's face that he knew.
“I promise,” he said, kissing his palm and then gently pulled the kelp back up onto Izuku's beautiful lips. “You as well.”
Izuku chirped at that in his sign of a promise and then sank back into the water.
Katsuki smirked, heading back to dry land, Kirishima patting his shoulder as they laughed.
*
Shigaraki's hands shook as he stared through his telescope. There was his merman, poking his head out of the water.
And then there was the bane of his existance kissing on him as if he hadn't been on death's door not just weeks prior.
He snapped his telescope shut, storming his way towards the crew that had scattered to the edges of the docks, fearful of his rage.
“You told me he was dead!” Shigaraki roared at them. “I took his life with my own eyes. You left him there to rot!”
“That is what we we said sir,” said one unforunate crew member that ended up getting a shot to the stomach. He doubled over in pain, crumpling to the ground.
“Then someone tell me why he is on the beach with his redheaded nuisance kissing on my merman yet again!” Shigaraki roared.
The crew remained silent, not wanting to witness or experience the same fate as their dying fellow crew member.
Shigaraki threw his telescope onto the deck much like a child. It shattered to pieces and the crew still remained silent.
“Someone bring me his head,” he declared. “And make sure that the merman watches it happen. I want him dead.”
“Yes captain,” they all chimed in.
“And my merman. Bring him to me. By force,” Shigaraki sneered.
*
At first things had been silent. None of the underwater army spoke as the waited for the first strike. And when it came things were quick to action. They dodged bullets and canon balls aimed into the water as fast as they could, swimming to the surface with their spears and arrows and fired away up at them on the ship.
Most they missed at the odd angle the fired but some were luckier than others as well as the firing squad on the beach.
But it wasn't enough. It was becoming hard to dodge and who knew how much arsenal they had gathered at the cove.
Katsuki had been afraid of other crews coming with them but from the looks of it they all thought he was insane back at the cove. They wanted nothing to do with him. Too much trouble to go after one mermaid that may, or may not exist.
Mermaids had been a myth to them that ended up being real. But most pirates didn't bother with myths unless they were truly bored or insane.
Shigaraki had defnitely been insane.
“We need to get up there,” Izuku said, looking up at the ship. “Who's with me?” Several merfolk agreed with Izuku, including Shoto, and a few others that looked to be octopi. Izuku remembred hearing that they had come after helping Shoto.
“To the surface,” Izuku called, leading the group to the surface. Their heads poked out of the water and with some concentration they emerged with their legs. One by one they grabbed hold of the ship, using whatever they could to climb aboard with their weapons in hands.
The pirates were not expecting this at all as they were soon surrounded by merfolk walkng on legs just like them.
“Don't let them ksis you,” Izuku said around his kelp mask as they all agreed and went in for the fight of their lives.
Izuku swung his sword gracefully, dodging attacks like he had been doing this for years. He hadn't but Katsuki was a great teacher.
There was one pirate that he was aiming for and that was the captain. After everything he had put him through Iuzku wanted to be the one to take him down.
“There you are,” growled Shigaraki's voice. Izuku turned around, his eyes hardening as he readied his sword. “Didn't even need to be brought in. You winllingly came on your own. Now be a good little fish and get in your tank. Then we can call this whole thing off.”
He was lying. Of course he was lying. They had other mermen and women that he had the pick of the litte from.
“Never on your life,” Izuku said muffled behind his mask but Shigraki scowled nontheless and pointed his sword at him.
“Then perish.”
*
Katsuki let off another shot from his gun and cursed as nothing came of it.
“We're too far now,” Katsuki growled, picking up his telescope and his eyes widened to see what was going on the ship.
“What's going on?” Kirishiam asked.
Katsuki cursed and gathered up his things, heading towards the boat that the two of them had scrounged up.
“Come on, they got themselves onto the ship. And Izuku is leading the charge,” Katsuki said, not patiently waiting as Kirishima stumbled into the boat and Katsuki started to row.
“Why is he even up there?!” Kirishima asked in panic. “He's pregnant.”
“I don't know, but I'm going to put an end to this once and for all.”

Sing Me A Melody Ch. 11 (A BakuDeku Omegaverse Au)
Chapter 11: Concert
Izuku was settling into this life pretty well. He got to sit during practices and even helped Katsuki take care of Eri who was latched to his side now.
It was cute and it warmed his heart that the little pup found him so endearing. He assumed it was from her birth mother not giving her any piece of mind.
But now it was time for something they had all been waiting for. Then things would be changing for Izuku forever.
Katsuki had gotten his lease broken and all of his items in his apartment, little as they were, with them. He was not leaving Izuku behind.
It wasn't much like Izuku wanted to be left behind. Aside from being his mate he was also their new song writer.
He bid Uruaka and Iida farewell though the other omega was not fond of the idea. She tried to talk him out of moving away with him after what happened with Dabi but Izuku told her he couldn't stay. Aside from Dabi knowing he was in town it was also that he wanted to be with his alpha.
But she made a good point to say that Katsuki hadn't asked for his bite back to fully bond the two of them together.
He ignored it and bid her goodbye and that he would message her.
Things had just been too crazy right now to think about such things. Aside from Katsuki having to practice for the concert and get their next hotel in the next city booked, he had to take care of his daughter and get thigns in motion.
The blonde had already talked to a lawyer about gaining full custody of Eri from her mother. The woman still hadn't answered her phone of her whereabouts or when she would be coming to pick Eri up.
Not that Katsuki or even Izuku would let that happen. The woman was unfit to raise a child and that much was made evident but how skinny Eri was.
They had spoken about not having kids before but now the two of them settled in nicely with raising Eri together.
Izuku had healed and he had a small sense of relaxation knowing that Dabi couldn't at least track his exact location. He could still find what city he went to as long as Katsuki was on tour but for now he was safe.
That night was the night of the concert. Izuku had never gotten to go to one of Katsuki's concerts. He had never had the money to scrounge up to do so.
But now as his mate he was able to get a special vip pass with eri and have a private booth for them to sit in and enjoy the show.
It was up close with tinted windows and with a little bit of sound proofing inside so the sound wasn't as loud.
Katsuki had brought them in his limo with the rest of the band and even into his dressing room where they watched him get ready.
Eri was bouncing around already happy, wearing one of Katsuki's tshirts of his band that was much too big for her but she wore as a dress. Izuku had his old one on as well and smiled at how excited Eri was to be there.
“I've never got to see one of Daddy's shows like this,” Eri said beaming, boucning on the couch. Izuku sat next to her, guiding her back down gently so she woudn't hurt herself.
“Nether have I. We'll have so much fun,” Izuku said with a smile to her, tickling her side. She giggled and sat on his lap, looking at Katsuk in the mirror as he put some eyeliner on.
“Daddy, can you do a special wave to us?” Eri asked. Katsuki smirked and turned to look at the two of them. Izuku flushed darkly at the sight. Katsuki was goregeous already but that eyeliner look was always something that made him practically drool.
“You bet priness,” he said to her with a smile. “I'll do one only you and Izuku will know. How about that? What would you like it to be?”
“Can you raise your hands and give two thumbs up?” she asked.
“Sure,” Katsuki said, rising from his seat and Izuku swallowed as the rock star came to stand near them. “I'll throw in a little wink too that way you know.”
He stood before them and Izuku felt his breath hitch at the sight of his alpha. It was one ting to see him on videos and such and sure he had seen him in nothing at all.
But here in his element he seemed to just ooze confidence. Needless to say if Eri was not in the room with them he would have made the rock star late with how badly he wanted to just be swept up in his arms again.
Eri smiled with a big grin, practicing the pose and then held her arms up. Katsuki scooped her up, holding her close as he twirled her and then sat her down in his make up chair.
“Now how about I do a little magic on you so that you can show just how much you support me?” he asked his daughter. Eri bounced in her seat.
“Can I get your x thing on my cheek?” she asked.
“Of course princess,” Katsuki said and he knelt down to start drawing a small orange and black x on his daughter's cheek with some make up, happy to make her stand out and give her a fun experience that evening.
Concerts like this really weren't for children her age but Katsuki felt it important that she knew and was partially part of this life.
He wasn't ashamed of it, he didn't want her to be ashamed of it either, and one day he would let her experience a concert the way it was meant to.
Just now being so young he wanted to make sure she was safe and that no one would bother her while she was there.
Izuku smiled softly at the bonding moment between them and he picked up his notebook that started it all, scribbling on one of the latest pages. He had started to write another song though the tone was much different.
He just wondered if Katsuki would even want to sing it. The tone of most of his music had been dark which matched the blonde perfectly. Now that his life was starting to take a turn for the better the tone of his music had shifted.
But he hadn't shared it yet either. Ever since the notebook incident Katsuki had been very respectful not to pick it up and look through it or even ask. He waited for Izuku to tell hm or show him if he wanted to do so.
“Izuku,” the blonde called as he worked on his daughter's make up.
“Hm?” Izuku asked as he looked up from the notebook.
“Do I have your permission to sing your song tonight?” he asked. Izuku's eyes widened. This was the first concert after his song had debuted wthout his permission. There was something sweet about him asking about it.
“Yeah,” Izuku said with a soft smile. Besides, don't you know the rights to it Kacchan?”
“Sort of, but I still want to ask since I never got to last time,” Katsuki reminded him. Izuku flushed and smiled at Eri as she hopped down from the chair. She had very little make up on but it was cute and it brought out the matching red of her eyes to her father.
“Izuku, you want in?” Katsuki asked.
“I don't know..” he said. Compared to the two of them now he felt rather plain but he wasn't usually one to wear make up.
“Pleeease?” Eri asked. “We can match.”
“I'll be gentle,” the blonde said, giving him a small wink. Izuku flushed even more at that and he stood up, heading to the chair Eri had been sitting in.
“Okay, okay,” he said with a soft laugh and sat down. Katsuki gently rest his fingers on the bottom of his chin to have him tilt his head up, coming in close with the eyeliner.
“Try to stay still,” he said with a wink.
*
Izuku held Eri's hand as they were lead to the private viewing room by security. He smiled at the sight. It had a good view of the stage to be able to see but also had some sound proofing so it wouldn't be so loud.
It had glass windows on all sides but it was tinted meaning they could stare out but no one could stare in.
What more could he ask for?
“Looky, looky!” Rri said cheerfully as she let go and went to the couch in the room. There was a bear that looked similar to Katsuki and also a small bag in green next to it. “Daddy got us gifts.”
She handed him the bag and went back to the couch as Izuku took a seat down, giggling softly at how excited she was to hug onto the rock star bear.
Eri started to play with her bear and Izuku opened up his present. He let out a soft gasp as he pulled out a jewlery box, a necklace inside of a moon with a red stone in the center, one that matched Katsuki's eyes.
“So pretty,” Eri gushed, looking at it. Izuku smiled and clipped it onto himself, resting his fingers on it.
“Definitely is,” Izuku said and grinned when he heard the first notes of a guitar for the concert to start up.
He had never been to a concert before and honestly he liked this. He got to witness it first hand but didn't need to worry about the crowds or hurting his ears.
Being a newly marked omega would have set him off with the overhwelming of scents.
He watched as the band came out one by one, each gaining their own cheers. First Kirishima, than Kaminari, then Mina, and then finally Katsuki came out with a blaze of fireworks.
The crowd went wild and Eri let out a scream of joy, hopping up and down on the couch.
“It's Daddy!” she said with a big grrin. Izuku helped guide her down again. She went right to the window to watch, bouncing up and down in excitement.
Izuku smiled softly and wathced as she cheered and sang at least what she knew. They had sat in on practicies but this was much different.
Izuku thought he was one of the biggest fans but clearly Katsuki's biggest fan was his cute little daughter.
As the night stretched on Katsuki held his guitar, ready to start he next song.
He raised his hands, facing the windows and gave two thumbs up and a wink right to them. Eri cheered happily, the blonde grinning as he was sure she was freaking out.
“He did it!” she cried out.
“This next song goes out to someone very special to me,” Katsuki said, nodding towards Mina to start up the music which the crowd cheered for. Izuku flushed recognizing it. His song. Katsuki was singing it again.
“This is for you baby,” Katsuki said towards the window and started up the song.
Izuku flushed, standing up for the first time that night and he head to the window, resting his hands on the glass as he watched for the first ime his alpha sing the song he wrote.
After a few moments he started to sing along with it, losing himself in the song. He never thought himself of a singer at all, he had been told too often that he really wasn't one that should be singing at all.
What he didn't know was Eri looked up at him with wide eyes and a large smile on her face. To her, his voice was beautiful and perfect.
She grabbed Izuku's phone, starting a recording with the help of the secrutiy guard. She wanted to save this moment and maybe even share it with her Daddy.
All the while Izuku didn't notice, too enamored in his alpha.

The Mark to Save Part 3 (A BakuDeku Omegaverse Patreon Exclusive)
“Forgive me your majesty. I'm not feeling so well,” he siad. “I think it's the sudden change in everything...”
“Well considering you came from the slums after all,” she sighed and looked to her son. “I suppose you can stay with him...but no funny business.”
“Yeah, yeah,” Katsuki said rolling his eyes.
“And if he needs anything don't hesitate to get someone to get it. You're a prince, not a servant,” she huffed as she made her way to the door.
“But I am also his mate,” Katsuki stated. “And I will decide what I get or him.”
Mitsuki looked as if she wanted to protest but the way she looked at Izuku and then at her son had her stopping. Izuku had that look in his eyes that he only trusted Katsuki right now.
Funny considering everyone was usually terrified of him. It was a nice change.
“Whatever,” She huffed and opened the door. “Remember. No funny business.”
Katsuki rolled his eyes and closed the door behind her as she left, locking it once more with a small smirk on his face.
Izuku pulled himself from the blankets and the blonde strode right to him again, admiring how his mate looked in his cloak.
“Now. Where were we?” Katsuki asked with one of his fangs poking out.

A Sea of Green and Red Ch. 18 (A Bakudeku Mermaid Au)
Chapter 18: The Moment
“This is not how I pictured your return Midoriya,” King Endeavor said with a scowl as he looked down to the smaller merman. His mother had her hand in his, clutching it close in case something bad would happen.
Shoto sat on the throne next to his father, Mina having waited outside. Of course Katsuki and Kirishima were nowhere to be seen, having been left in the caves nearby so they didn't cause a stir and could also stretch their legs.
“I wish I had returned in a different manner,” Izuku sighed softy. “But they will be here soon. We need to protect everyone.”
“I'll send word to go to the deep sea caves for protection. But we are not going down without a fight. Those filthy humans think they can just barge into our home again and take what they want? They have another thing coming,” the king growled.
Izuku wilted a little bit. Shoto and his mother had told him to leave out anything about Katuski and Kirishima despite that he had helped them. But Izuku couldn't sit back and let the king insult them like this.
“They aren't all bad,” Izuku said. Shoto paled next to his father.
“What did you say boy?” the king growled.
Izuku clencehd his hands. He was tired of this. He was just tired of everything. He wanted some peace for once after all these months.
“I said, they are not all bad,” Izuku said. “This crew coming is the most evil, but a human had saved me. He had even tried to release me at the risk of his and his friend's lives. He was even the one that told me to come back here to tell you to prepare.”
The king was silent for a moment, eyes looking over Izuku. He was pale, dark circles under his eyes, not the bright eyed boy he used to know that was always covered in pearls and shells to make him look cute.
He wore nothing now except one necklace with one black shell on it.
And it was not mistaking the slight roundess of his stomach.
“You gave your kiss away hadn't you,” the kind stated.
“I didn't give it away. I happily offered it to my mate,” Izuku said, Shoto got up from the chair as his father looked at him with a scowl. “Yes, this human is my mate. And we are going to have a child together.”
“They have poisoned your mind,” Endeavor stated. “You need to be cleeansed of that nasty thing inside of you.”
“You will do no such thing,” Inko finally chimed in.
“Inko-”
“No,” his mother stated, putting herself in front of her son. “My son has been through enough and so what if he took a human as his mate? This human saved him and has even stuck around to make sure that the rest of our kingdom doesn't suffer a terrible fate of losing our homes and losing our blessings. Now are you going to be a wise king and get everyone to safety and just let this go or are you just going to distract yourself with this nonsense and condemn our people?”
The king was silent, mulling over her words. She was right. He wasn't happy but she was right about the whole thing.
“Fine,” Endeavor stated and looked to his son. “We will talk later about what to do with you now that you lost your mate.”
Inko rolled her eyes and crossed her arms. Izuku rest a hand on her shoulder as a silent thank you. She had warmed up to his human mate quite well epecially after she realized what he had done for her son during such a dark time.
“Now, to the matter at hand. How many days do you say we have?” Endeavor asked.
“About two days,” Shoto said. “They aren't far off and they are coming up fast.”
“I'll create a storm to deter them just a littke,” the king stated. “It won't keep them away but it will be enough to give us a little more time. If they are this determined one storm isn't going to be enough to stop them.”
“What do we do when they do get here?” Inko asked.
“I will leave our people to figure if they want to hide or stay and fight for our home. We aren't going down without a fight. We have the advantage,” the king said confidentally.
“But they know these waters too. How else do you think they got me,” Izuku said. “You...you need to talk to my mate. He knows how they work. He can give us an advantage.”
“No.”
“But-”
“I'm letting him live if he stays out of this mess” the king stated flatly. “If he wants to live he'll stay away from this kingdom.”
Izuku clenched his fists but to his surprise Shoto opened his mouth.
“He has my immunity,” Shoto stated much to his father's anger. “I agree with Izuku, we need his insight on what to do.”
“Shoto,” the king said in a warning tone bu the prince ignored him.
“We need to make peace with the humans. We can at least try it out with one or two to start with before the battle if it benefits us.”
The room grew quite and the king sighed heavily in annoyance.
“Fine. Bring him here later to discuss battle startegies. I must go warn our people of the danger lurking and get prepared.”
*
“Kacchan,” Izuku called into the cave once he returned, his head breaking the surface as he looked around.
“Over here,” the blone said. Izuku swam further, finding the blonde sitting at another entrance to the cave, looking out at the sea.
The sun cast over him in a soft glow and Izuku smiled gently as he climbed up onto the rocks with him, leaving his mermaid tail on.
“How'd it go?” the blonde asked.
“In our favor,” Izuku said. “They're warning everyone now and well...later he does wish to speak with you. You will have to come with me though. I'm sure there's no way he'd come up here to speak with you about battle strategies.”
“Figured that,” Katsuki said and looked at his mate, a soft flush forming on his cheeks. Izuku looked breathtaking. Tired, but breathtaking.
And a slight roundness to his stomach.
Without a second though Katsuki leaned in resting his hand and head on Izuku's lap. Izuku was surprsied but smiled softly as the blonde craddled his stomach.
He honestly couldn't believe he was going to be a father of a little baby created from their love. But not just any baby. A baby of land and sea.
He did wonder how this would work but he would make it work. He wanted to see Izuku happy. He had been through hell and back and Katsuki just wanted to give him a gentle life.
They would figure out the details later.
“Hey little one,” Katsuki said softly to his stomach. Izuku watched quietly, tears filling his eyes at this moment of happiness. “It's me, your papa.”
There was no doubt now that Izuku was pregnant. He had to be with the way he was looking. It wasn't like him eating would cause this.
“And I'm going to love you and protect you more than anything. I will make sure that I will get us all to a happy life.”
“Kacchan...” Izuku said softly, threading his fingers through blonde locks.
“And I'll give you and your mama a good home. And we'll live in peace,” Katsuki promised the both of them, looking up at Izuku with a small smile.
Izuku felt those tears leak down his cheeks. Katsuki leaned up to kiss one of them away.
“I meant what I said. I'm done being a pirate,” he said. “I just want to be with you from now on.”
“Really?” Izuku asked. Honestly compared to the rest of the pirates he had come across, Katsuki didn't seem like them at all. He seemed different, more tame.
But he was sure Katsuki had seen his fair share of destorying things and hurting others. He wasn't innocent to just walk away.
“Really,” Katsuki responded. “Problem is I'm a wanted criminal in the kingdom. I've been with that crew since I was just a boy. Ran away from home and all...”
A sad look crossed Katsuki's face. Izuku's heart squeezed in his chest.
“What happened?” Izuku asked softly. The blonde sat up, Izuku shifting closer to him to the point where Katsuki lifted him onto his lap.
Izuku curled up against his chest, petting the cloth of his shirt a moment over where that scar had taken place.
“Got into a fight with my parents,” he said, thinking about it. “Ran away to join the pirate crew under a pirate named All for One..when he passed his son took over...who you came across.”
Izuku shivered at the thought of Shigaraki and how many times that crusty looking man had put his lips to his own. He hated it. He wanted to scream with each time.
“Why didn't you just leave and go home?” Izuku asked softly, fingers pushing the fabirc to the side and pet the scar on his chest.
Katsuki tensed a bit but then slowly relaxed with the gentle touch from his lover.
“Once you become a pirate you just don't go back home,” Katsuki pointed out to him. “If I'm caught I could be killed for being one and...it's not like it's easy to tell your parents that you have become one of the most feared things on the ocean. I've taken peoples lies, burned villages and ruined things. I even helped with your capture till my brain caught on to what I was doing.”
“You mean...?”
“That I took one look into these beuatful green eyes and realized that what I've been doing for years was just terrible...” the blonde said, tilting Izuku's eyes to look up at him. Izuku flushed a bit and felt himself grow weak as Katsuki leaned in slowly.
Izuku's eyes fluttered and his hand pressed gently against his chest, feeling caught up in the moment.
“To this day I still don't understand how you could love a man like me like this,” he admitted to him. “After everything I've done...”
“It's simple Katsuki,” Izuku said gently, the blonde smiling a bit against his lips as he spoke his real name to him. “What you had done and such is not you. You are better than that and realized you had done wrong. Instead of turning me over to your captain and just forgetting about me, you tried to let me go and you treated me with kindness.”
“I guess I did do that huh?” he said.
Izuku nodded his head and cupped his cheeks, red eyes peering down into green, vibrant like the sea around them.
“And if I could give you a gift with each kiss,” Izuku said, brushing his lips agianst his. “I would give them to you over...and over again.”
Finally he pulled Katsuki closer to kiss him, letting out a content sigh as he curled his body in closer and let himself fall into it.
Katsuki let out a noise from his throat, clutching the merman against his chest.
He never thought he'd feel like this. But he couldn't help himself. He was in love with the merman Izuku.
“I love you,” Katsuki said to him. “Very much.”
“I love you too Kacchan.”

Sing Me a Melody Ch. 10 (A bakudeku omegaverse au)
Chapter 10: Legality
“Mind your own business,” Dabi snapped at Katsuki. “I'm just getting my mate so we can go home after his little accident.”
Izuku felt panic rise in his chest and he had to keep himself from latching onto the sleeping pup next to him.
He couldn't go back with him. He would never go back with him. He was scared out of his mind. Going back with him now meant he could very well lose his life.
“That's funny. Because he is coming home with me,” Katsuki stated, not liking how close he was to his mate and child. It was taking everything within himself not to launch across the room and slam the man's head into the ground.
For everything he had done to Izuku in the past. He had hoped he never saw the guy and here he was, being served to him on a silver platter. He deserved to be locked up for what he had done to him. And now he was trying to take him again.
“And who do you think you are?” Dabi scoffed but he had his answer the moment his scent hit his nose. Izuku's new alpha.
“His alpha,” Katsuki staetd, taking a step forward. “And you will leave. Now, before I have security come to get you. And don't think you can follow us anymore. Your little chip is gone.”
Dabi looked surprised at that, looking to Izuku and then to the bandage on his head. Izuku scowled at him.
“Now you can't follow me anymore,” Izuku stated.
“Like hell I can't,” Dabi said, reaching and grabbing Izuku's wrist. In his other hand he tugged out a piece of paper out of his pocket. “I have this. And until you have one of your own, you can't claim him as yours. And I can just replant my mark on him.”
“You mean this?” Katsuki asked, holding up his own piece of paper. Izuku's eyes shined a bit with unshed tears, a small smile there. He had gotten his mating liscence to be his proper alpha. In this case Izuku was free forever of Dabi.
“Kacchan,” Izuku whispered and fear set in as Dabi's grip tigthtened on his arm, tugging on him which caused him to yelp in pain.
That set Katsuki off and he stomped to the other alpha, fangs bared as he grabbed him by the shoulder and shoved him away from his mate.
He crashed into one of the carts, toppling over objects and making a loud bang. Eri startled awake and started to cry, whimpering softly at who this man was and why Izuku was upset.
“Daddy,” Eri cried and just hearing his pup being upset set Katsuki off even more, grabbing hold of Dabi's collar and tugged him up, fist poised to hit him.
Izuku collected Eri against him, keeping her against his chest and away from the image of her father going to hurt someone. The little girl clung to his hospital gown, crying softly.
“Kacchan!” Izuku called out and Katsuki stopped, looking over at his mate and child. They were terrified, Eri more so since she didn't know what was going on.
But also Katsuki was sure she had seen her fair share of violence when it came to her birth mother. Who knew what she had witnessed or been exposed to.
Red eyes turned back to Dabi who scowled and was ready to strike himself.
“Leave. Now. And if I ever catch you near my mate ever again,” Katsuki growled at him.
“You'll what?” Dabi asked with a smirk. “Go on. Threaten me mister big rock star.”
That caught Katsuki off guard and Dabi was able to get a good punch in on Katsuki's eyes. The blonde grunted, dropping him and Dabi stepped away as the blonde covered his injured face.
With the commotion going on security appeared in no time, grabbing hold of Dabi as Katsuki pointed to him.
“Get him out of here.”
The man grabbed hold of Dabi, pulling his arms behind his back. Dabi smirked regardless.
“Have fun with a defective omega,” Dabi snarled at them. “He's useless if he can't give you any pups rockstar.”
“Out!” Katsuki roarted and security pulled him away.
Katsuki let out a sigh, the only sound now coming from Eri who sobbed in Izuku's arms. He looked to them his chest tightneing at the sight.
Izuku looked perfect. Holding Eri close, rocking her gently in his arms and sending out a soothing scent to relax the young pup.
“Hey, it's okay,” Katsuki said softly as he came closer to them. “It's all over. The bad man is gone now.”
Once he was at the side of the bed Eri released Izuku and she latched herself to the blonde. Izuku didn't mind of course, understanding.
“I've got you princess,” Katsuki said gently, petting her hair as she trembled in his arms, her sobs turning into quiet sniffles. “Daddy's got you. Daddy is here.”
“Kacchan,” Izuku said softly after a few moments of soothing his pup. Katsuki looked to his mate who reached out and cupped his cheek.
He winced a bit from the pain but he gave him a smile.
“I've had worse,” The blonde said with a snort. Izuku gave a small smile at that.
“I figured you have. But I really still would like you to have that checked out when you can,” Izuku urged him.
Katsuki kissed his hand and nodded.
“I will when she calms down,” Katsuki promised, holding Izuku's hand. The omega stared at them a moment and then to the discarded liscence on the floor.
“You really got it?” Izuku asked softly.
“Yep,” Katsuki replied. “Had Sero fax it over since I have to give a copy to the hospital. All I need is for you to sign it.”
“I'll do it as soon as possible,” Izuku said. He would have to thank Sero later for helping him out of such a bad situation. Though he was sure hearing about Katsuki's newest mating had send him reeling about what could happen. “Also...Kaccchan?”
“Hm?”
“Thank you.”
“For what?”
“For saving me,” Izuku explained “Regardless of my flaws....If you hadn't come he would have taken me away and who knows if I would have lived after the next time he tried to get me to conceive. I would be barren...again.”
“Izu,” Katsuki said, this time tucking his finger under his chin so that he would look up into his eyes at him. “Just because you can't have pups doesn't mean you are useless or defective. If we ever want children of our own one day, we have other options like adoption.”
Izuku smiled softly at that, nodding his head as he wiped away another tear that was trying to leak down his chin again. Now that the adrenaline was gone he was feeling exhausted again and just wanted to sleep.
“Here,” Katsuki said gently, slowly guiding Izuku to lay back down on the bed and set a now sleeping Eri next to him again. Izuku rest his arm around her, Katsuki laying the blanket over them both so they could stay warm.
“I'll get myself fixed up. You rest more, okay?” Katsuki said but Izuku grabbed his arm quickly.
“Please don't leave us,” Izuku said, fear lingering in his voice.
Katsuki's eyes softened and he leaned down to brush a kiss against his forehead to help relax him.
“I won't,” he said, pushing the button to summon the nurse to the room. “I promise I own't leave either of you.”
*
It was a few days later that Katsuki had to answer the door to the hotel room. His band mates stood there looking scared but also had arms of gifts.
“Kirishima told us what happened and uh...” Kaminari started and Katsuki scowled at the redhead. At least he didn't barge in.
“Oh did he now?”
“We just want to see how he's doing and offer our congrats,” Mina chimed in. “We want to welcome him to the family.”
Katsuki pinched the bridge of his nose and let out a small sigh. “Alright. But he's a little jumpy after some stuff okay? And don't make it a shock that Eri has literally latches herself onto him.”
The others stepped into the room with armfuls full of gifts. The blonde closed the door, raising a brow. What were they trying to do? Smother him with affection?
“You still have Eri? Hasn't it been a few days?” Mina finally asked.
“Yes,” Katsuki said. “And today I need to take a very important phone call.”
The tone of his voice and look on his face said enough. Katsuki was not willing to talk about this right about now.
“Right,” Mina said a little nervously but then followed the others into the other room.
“Aunt Mina! Uncle Kiri! Uncle Kami!” Eri said, wiggling off of Izuku's lap and ran to them, giving each of them a hug. Izuku smiled softly at that, adjusting the blanket that was on his lap.
“Good to see you again kiddo,” Kaminari said, hugging Eri tightly.
Katsuki stood by the couch, resting his hands gently on Izuku's shouldres, rubbing his bandage a bit where he had bitten him.
“You okay with the company?” he asked softly. Izuku nodded his head, resting his hands on Katsuki's for the moment, giving a reassuring squeeze.
“I'll be fine,” Izuku told him. “I like the company. It means that if I fall asleep I won't wake up to have him standing by my bed again...”
Katsuki's eyes softened a little bit at that, feeling a little guilty about it. If he had been there he would have never gotten in at all...he wouldn't have had to deal with that.
“I'm sorry-”
“Don't apologize again,” Izuku said softly, gaining their attention. Katsuki glared at them a bit until Eri came back over and tucked herself right into Izuku's sida again.
“I'll tell you later,” he told his bandmates. He wasn't sure how much Kirishima that had told them but he was sure he hadn't said anything about the whole ex showing up.
He was hoping that he would end up going to jail for harassement but he was sure the man was just removed from the aera. Unless Izuku was near him he couldn't get him put away.
And getting him near that guy was the last thing he wanted to do.
He leaned down and kissed the top of Izuku's head gently near the bandage. He already had things in motion to getting Izuku's things and severing Izuku's lease.
His phone buzzed in his pocket and he kissed his head again.
“I'll be right back,” he said. At least he could trust his friends to protect Izuku. He had to make sure that he never left Izuku alone for a while.
“Okay,” Izuku chirped watching Katsuki walk away. Katsuki pulled the phone to his ear.
“Hello?”
“Hello Mr. Bakugou, I'm calling to return your message about getting sole custody over your daughter Eri?” the woman on the phone said.
“Yes,” Katsuki said, peeking at the group a small smile coming to his face. He was taking big steps lately. He would need a break soon.
“How soon can we start the process?” he asked.
“Already have. And you have a good evidence against her considering she has not come back to pick her up.”
“Good.”

A Service to the King Ch. 12 (A SidLink Omegaverse Story)
Chapter 12: Together and Apart
Sidon felt that familiar pull once again about a few weeks later. On and off he felt that pull of his shade being summoned. When he could he would pop in but he would just sit and watch Link.
Most of the time it was Link sleeping. He wanted to just have the comfort of his arms around him as he slept.
It tended to happen more at night but there was an occasional nap during the day.
Sometimes it was hard. He had needed a quiet moment and total concentration to be able to focus on being with Link, wanting to feel himself there rather than just being a fly on the wall so to speak.
Link was really trying to cope with his feelings by summoning Sidon's sage.
It wasn't healthy but how else did he tell him? Plus he had no idea where he was so he couldn't speak to him.
Unless he tried to speak with him through his sage.
He felt the tug again on his soul and he knew he had to check in and try to see him. It was getting late so it meant that Link may be getting ready to go to sleep.
It wasn't the same without him there he supposed. Before Sidon had started using his shade to sleep he had to admit he had been struggling.
Aside from his other kingly duties, he had made sure to check up on Yona a lot with their egg to see if there was any new developments. As always there wasn't and it sat tucked in it's warm water waiting to be born.
He was glad though that Bazz had volunteered to stay with Yona most of the time while she was on bed rest. He knew he could put his trust in his friend to protect the queen while she was most vulnerable and to protect the heir to the throne as well.
And even when she was allowed to move again Bazz had taken to staying near her as well to protect her and the child.
But in doing so it left Sidon's mind wide open for many things.
The way Link had left, being a father soon, and so on. He just needed a break. But King's never got breaks. Ever.
The only esapre Sidon had now was waiiescapting for Link to summon his shade and he could spend the night with him as if nothing had changed.
Though he never spoke, never moved unless he was told to or felt the pull. It was never anything more than to hold him.
And hold him he did.
He stepped into his bed chambers with a sigh, locking the door for some privacy. He was always nevous of someone finding him spaced out and thinking something was wrong. They knew of his shade and his help of Link but now that Ganondorf was gone, there really was no reason for Link to summon him, at least in their eyes.
Sidon wanted to see him to every single night.
He felt that tug again on his spirit as he climbed onto the bed. He got himself comfortable, ready for another night of being able to get a good night's rest.
How else was an alpha to do without his omega nearby of course? That's what he wanted to tell himself anyway. Link wasn't his though.
And he wasn't Link's.
He let out a breath before his mind became jumbled. That would make the process take longer than it needed to be. Best to let his mind go blank.
Letting out a breath he calmed his mind, letting himself drift slowly.
And then when he was opening his eyes he was standing in this unfamiliar home with Link standing before him, blue eyes looking determined.
He was a little confused. They weren't in Link's bed or in one of his chairs where Link tended to sleep form time to time.
They were in his bedroom so perhaps he just hadn't given him his orders yet.
Tear streaks were running down Link's face and he had his hands gripped, still staring up at Sidon's shade with a frown.
Every time Sidon saw him Link was more or less in this state. Upset, feeling lost. He never let it show to anyone else but here in privacy he didn't keep himsef bottled up.
And each time when Link was awake Sidon just wanted to pull him close and hug him, tell him it was okay and he could relax.
“Sit on the bed please,” Link said with a sigh. Sidon did as he was told, going to sit on the edge of the bed like he had asked. Link stood before him, still having to peer up at him with how tall Sidon was. He had indeed grown taller.
Instead of telling him to lay down Link climbed onto his lap, straddling the king's legs with his own and looped his arms around his neck.
“You haven't even bothered to try to contact me,” Link said with a sad smile as he looked up at him. “No letters, no messages, not even a visit....”
Sidon felt his chest tighten, wanting to do something for him but he had to remain still.
“I thought you had loved me Sidon...” Link said softly, resting his hands now on his cheeks.
Sidon wanted to scream that he loved him, tell him that everyhing was oaky. But it was far from it. Their situation was not one that could easily be fixed without someone getting hurt in the process of it all.
“This is the only way I can have you now...” Link said to him, a tear running down his cheek. “If this is what I have to do to be happy, then so be it.”
Without a moment of hesitation Link pulled him down into a kiss, letting out a breath against his lips as he clung to the king.
Sidon held in a sigh, forcing his body to remain still as Link kissed him. But by doing so it seemed that like just upset Link more.
“I wish you were more like him,” Link said. “More like the real thing...”
Sidon couldn't take it anymore. He needed Link to know he was there. He needed to kiss him again. These months apart had been taxing on him and just one kiss had sent him into craving more. No. He had to tell him.
He moved in then, leaning in to kiss him again. Link gasped and clutched his arms around him, Sidon's arms holding him close and letting out a soft noise.
The kiss was fierce, full of love and emotion and hen Link pulled away to breathe he was panting.
“Si..Sidon?” Link asked, flushing darkly at the realization dawning on him. Sidon could feel and hear everything. This was his soul after all.
“Yes,” Sidon said, his voice not sounding quite right but it was there nonthelsss. “I'm here Link. I've always been here whenever you called upon me.”
“This isn't just...some sage order?” Link asked.
Sidon leaned in close, his blank eyes staring down into one's of blue.
“No, never was,” Sidon said to him and he grabbed hold of his chin in his fingers, keeping him close as the hylian's cheeks burned a bright red. “Now my omega, kiss me.”
Link didn't hesitate and he leaned in again, kissing Sidon deeply with a soft sigh. Sidon pulled them both down onto the bed, pinning Link's hands above his head as he rolled him to his back.
“Seeing you so upset for months was killing me inside. I didn't think I was allowed to be present here, wanting you to spend your times the way you wished wth my shade,” Sidon said. “It doesn't quite help but some touch is better than none.”
Link smiled softly, his eyes watery as he touched his face.
“You've been with me the entire time and I never knew...I'm sorry I said that,” Link said to him, his heart fluttering deep in his chest. “You do love me.”
“I always have and I'll never stop,” Sidon said, leaning in for another kiss. “No matter what happens, I will always love you.” Link smiled softly but the memory then had his smile faltering which had Sidon's face dropping a little bit at the sight of it.
“Link..?”
The blonde sighed softly and he rest his hand on Sidon's a bit.
“I'm sorry for leaving the way I did,” Link said to him. “I know I should have said something to you but I was in such pain I couldn't.”
“Link...” Sidon said but stopped when the blonde held up his hand and he wiggled out from under him. Sidon let him go and he sat back on his heels.
“I know you said things wouldn't change but...I want it to change. Things have already changed. You'te going to be a father, you're the king married to the queen. I don't fit into that situation anywhere. There isn't a spot for me,” Link began.
Sidon felt his heart pang as he heard his words, knowing what he was talking about.
“I can't ask you to do aything for me. I can't ask you to choose. It wouldn't be right even if you chose me over your wife and child. I was doing this with your sage just to cope wth my grief of losing you. I'm struggling..”
“But you haven't lost me,” Sidon tried to reason with him.
“Sidon, I have,” Link said softly, leaning into the hand that was on his cheek. “I waited too long to admit my feelings nad now you have people you need to take care of. I won't let you choose between me and her. You should choose her.”
Sidon let out a heavy sigh, anger brewing inside of him. How did he make Link see that he wanted him no matter what? But he was right.
Sidon was king now and he had duties to his domain and his queen. He was also going to have duties to his child.
Perhaps he could speak with Yona about having Link being his consort. It wasn't uncommon. He just wasn't sure how she would feel about it. She was a part of this after all.
“I will decide what it is that I wish,” Sidon said to him after a little while, Link sitting across from him and carefully laid his clawed hand on Sidon's, still afraid that he hated that sort of thing.
“I'll be waiting for you,” Link said to him and he let out a small sigh, lifting his hand as he looked at the ring, reaching to remove it.
“What are you doing?” he asked.
“I shouldn't be summoning you any longer. It's wrong of me to do so...and get your attention on me when you have so much more to focus on,” Link said with a sad smile on his face.
“Link, please,” Sidon said to him, panic rising in his chest. If he took off that ring there was no way for him to contact the omega. He had no idea where he was, couldn't go to visit and couldn't go to send letters.
Zelda would especially make sure that they weren't together. She was more than likely very upset for the pain that he had caused Link.
And Sidon didn't blame her. He had done so much to him.
“I don't know how to contact you,” Sidon said to him, resting his hands over Link's, gently puling them down. “Please, either tell me where you are or just leave the ring on for both of our sakes. I haven't seen you in so long I don't think I could bare to be apart.”
Link let out a small sigh and nodded his head, agreeing.
“For now I will leave it on,” Link said and he reached for Sidon's cheeks. “Now...if you'll indulge me me...I would like to be a little selfish myself.”
“By all means my Link,” Sidon said, his words being cut off as Link tugged him in close and kissed him again, letting out a slow breath.
The king couldn't help himself, pulling him closer to his body and tucked his hand onto the small of his back.
Any day he'd allow Link to be selfish.

A Sea of Green and Red ch. 17 (A Bakudeku mermaid au)
Chapter 17: Realizations
“What do you mean you lost him?” Shigaraki asked with a snarl, leaning down to his crew member. The man was under his foot, the captain's sword dug into his shoulder to keep him pinned in place so he couldn't run away.
“I lost track of him. He took a sudden turn and then just disappeared,” the man said with a wince. “Please, I can find him.”
“Silence,” Shigaraki snapped, tugging out his sword and kicked the man away from him, nodding with his head to take him away from him.
To lose his life, to go to the cell who knew. He didn't care at this point.
He needed to find his merman again. He had to follow him to make sure that he knew which direction to take. But for him to suddenly take a turn...
He was on to them. He was trying to lead him away from the direction he had been heading in the first place.
“Clever little runt you are,” Shigaraki said with a smirk. But he didn't think he was that clever. Someone had to be helping him. But who?
The one that had been helping him was dead. Or....that's what he assumed.
“Touya,” Shigaraki said to his new second in command. The man covered in burns approached slowly, a brow raised.
“Yeah?”
“Bakugou's body. You saw to that it was disposed of correctly?” Shigarki asked.
“Disposed of? You told us to just leave him to rot, which was what we did.”
The captain scowled, turning from him and went to the edge of the boat, staring out at the vast ocean before him.
No...he couldn't be. He had made sure of it. He had made sure that he had taken care of that traitorous piece of garbage.
After all the years of trusting him and he turns his back on him just for some fish tail. He played him for a fool.
“There's no way he's alive,” Shigaraki growled. But there was a possibility that another merperson had found him and was helping him. But how would they know he was being followed? They had made sure to stay at a safe distance.
Either way however, he was trying to throw him off the scent. Throw him off the track to be able to move forward. They had kept heading north and he suddenly went east...
“Alert to everyone that we are continuing forward. That is the direction we are going to take to find those freaks of nature. And if we're lucky everyone will get that kiss. We will be the one crew that can breathe underwater and we will be unstoppable.”
“Aye, aye captain,” Touya said, turning to bark orders at the other crew members to get moving once again.
Shigaraki smirked at that, watching as the sails were adusted to head in that direction. They would find those merpeople and they would make sure that they won this.
“You think you're smart little mermaid, but you will be mine again. And this time you will never ever disobey me again,” he said confidnetly.
He started to laugh then, a dry cackle coming from his throat.
The others ignored him as he had his laugh. They never questionsed him, though they were bothered how easily he had gone insane after one encounter with a merman.
*
Izuku woke with a start, lifting his head up from the soft warm chest of his mate. His heart was hammering hard against his chest.
Something was wrong.
He swallowed, looking to the sleeping form next to him and he relaxed a little bit. He shifted closer to snuggle into him, swallowing as he tried to get his racing heart to relax.
He had to try to remain calm. Any super amount of stress could be very bad for their little baby...granted there was one growing inside of him. He just felt like that he was carrying possibly the first mermaid human hybrid child.
But that was not what had woken him. No.. he felt like something was going to happen soon. Something bad.
He stared up at Katsuki for a little bit, eyes trailing over his bare body and settled on the large scar again on his chest. He had nearly lost him. He had thoguht he lost him but by some miracle he had survived such an attack on his body.
He could see the dark circles under his eyes and his skin cracking in places from being in the water so much.
No...he should leave him alone for a little while, not trouble him with some nightmare that he had woken from...one that he even couldn't remember now.
He carefully got up and went to the mouth of the cave, Katsuki's clothes gathered in his fist now that they were dry. He slipped them on, them being much too big, and he slipped out onto the island that the cave had been connected to.
He gazed about around him. They were on the edge of the island, the beach connected to the rock face that they had got comfortable in. The other caves were nearby, each connected to the island as well for any of them to come through.
Though he didn't expect his mother, Shoto, or even Mina to want to gain their legs like he had and take to the sands.
He sat on the edge of the water. He kept himself out of it, not wanting to get Katsuki's clothes wet again, but also so he wasn't tempted to let his tail out again. He hugged his knees and stared out at the water. A breath passed his lips.
He did wonder what his life would be like after all of this mess with the pirates were behind them. He wanted to go home, badly. He wanted to go home after so long.
But then he couldn't take Katsuki with him. The blonde couldn't survive under the water. Just looking at him before really showed him that his delicate human body couldn't handle it.
There was no way for him to change into a merman and breathing underwater only granted him access to his home so much.
It was if the world was telling Izuku that he couldn't have it both ways. He would either have to leave his home to be with Katsuki or he would have to be with Katsuki to be in his home...
He let out a sigh, pressing his face into his legs, letting out a small groan of annoyance at himself. He knew he wanted to be with Katsuki. Maybe he could still visit home?
“Can't sleep either?” came a familiar voice. Izuku lifted his head to see Shoto. The young merman tensed, looking away as the prince actually unsteadily walked closer on human legs with a large piece of cloth to cover himself up.
He hadn't really talked to him since he had...bashed his head with a rock to save Katsuki. He still didn't understand how the two of them had become allies after what had happened between them.
He would tread with caution.
“No...I can't,” Izuku said to him, tensing when the two toned hair prince sat down next to him, staring out at the water as well. “...your highness...I...”
“No need,” Shoto said to him. “I understand why you did it. And honestly it's healed already. You're in love with Katsuki and I have to understand that.”
Izuku shifted a bit, relaxing only a little bit.
“I'm still sorry for hurting you,” Izuku sighed, letting go of his legs and dug his fingers into the sand, feeling the grains run through his fingers.
The two sat in silence for a few moments.
“Why can't you sleep?” he asked the prince softly.
“Just get the feeling that this was all too easy,” Izuku said softly, eyeing the smoky fog that had fallen over the ocean. Something really wasn't right but he couldn't put his fin on it. “Just send me away from home and hopes they turn around?”
“I'll admit I'm a little suspicious too. I thought we'd see something by now,” Shoto said. “We could have made a stand if they tried to catch you again.”
Izuku shiveed and hugged Katsuki's shirt to him a little closer.
“I never want to go back with them....”
“Well I know if any of us can help it, we won't let that happen again,” Shoto said to him and adjusted his legs a bit with a frown. “I don't understand how anyone can walk on these things.”
“It takes practice,” Izuku said with a small smile, noting Shoto's attempt to change the subject but also to get their minds off of the impending doom that was coming for them right about now.
“Show me?” Shoto asked.
“Really? The prince of the mermaid kingdom wants to learn to walk like a human?” Izuku asked. The only reason he was being playfully critical was his father. His father wanted nothing to do with humans and it was also what happned to him left a bitter taste in their mouths.
But Katsuki and Kirishima had showed that it wasn't humans, it was certain humans that were terrible people.
Just like there were terrible merfolk.
“Well I'll be king one day,” Shoto said with a small shrug of his shoulders. “Perhaps we should venture on land, get some protections for us.”
Izuku smiled soflty. There as still a possibility that it could happen to their home but it was a step in the right direction.
“That's amazing Shoto,” Izuku said.
“Well what better way to start than learning to walk and not make a fool of myself,” Shoto said. Izuku stood, dusting off his pants.
“Well rule one is you'll always have to make sure to wear clothes,” Izuku said. “They can't hide their bodies or anything like that.”
“Noted,” Shoto said, holding his hand out to Izuku who took it and helped the prince rise to his feet.
Izuku made sure he was balanced before starting to move about the sand.
“Sand isn't the best to learn on but it's all we have right now,” Izuku said walking around, skipping a little bit and stretching his legs.
He let out a small laugh as Shoto tried to fous in onlyhim not tumbling down.
“Sorry,” he aplogized to the prince. “I got carried away.”
“It's fine,” he said, standing again with his help. “Gotta admit...if I didn't know any better I would think you were actually a human with how well you walk and blend in.”
Izuku paused.
“You do?” he asked.
“I do,” he said.
Izuku looked out at the horizon. That didn't help but it did at the same time. He knew how to walk so well because of Katsuki that he could be seen as a human.
He could live with him.
“Izuku?” Shoto asked, slowly taking steps to walk towards him.
Izuku's eyes had widened as he stared out at the water.
“Did I say something wrong? I'm sorry, I didn't-”
“No,” Izuku said, pointing out to the water. “The ships...they're heading in the direction of home...Shoto, I lead them right to the kingdom.”
Shoto followed his hand and he paled. Sure enough they were close and heading right in the direction of their home.
“We have to warn them,” Izuku said determined.

Sing Me A Melody Ch. 9 (A BakuDeku Omegaverse Au)
Chapter 9: Always Found
“Sir, do you have the proper mated paper work?” the nurse asked Katsuki. The blonde sighed heavily, pinching the bridge of his nose.
“No I don't,” Katsuki replied.
“Well...without other identification I can't let you into the room with Mr. Midoriya I'm afraid. It's a protocol to protect our patients,” the nurse said, wincing when there was a slight growl from the blonde.
“Just do it man. We'll figure it out later,” Kirishima sighed.
Katsuki sighed, pulling his sunglasses off and then pulled out his wallet, setting his id down on the counter for her.
“Be discreet. He is my mate. Just check his scent. The bond is new,” Katsuki told her.
The nurse's eyes lit up at the familiar sight of the singer as well as the id in her hand.
“You're-”
“Discreet,” Katsuki snapped.
“Daddy grumpy...” Eri mumbled in Kirishima's arms.
“He sure is,” the redhead teased.
Katsuki shot a glare his way which that smile instantly fell from his face.
“Alright, here you are. This bracelet will grant you access to see him when the doctor is done stitching him up,” she said with a smile, then set a piece of paper on the counter. “Do you mind...?”
Katsuki sighed heavily, taking back his id and putting it back in his wallet. “Only if you get a bracelet for them too.”
“But-”
“You want an autograph or not?” he growled.
She flushed at that and she immediately went to work, getting the bracelets for Izuku and handed them to Kirishima so he could put them onto Eri and himself.
“Let's go,” Katsuki said, putting his sunglasses back on and looked down at the door number. “He should be there in a few minutes.”
*
Izuku sighed, laying in the bed as he stared up at the ceiling. He hated this. He just got a new alpha but he hadn't even been able to reutrn the mating mark.
Did Katsuki even want it?
He was thankful for the painkillers. During that procedure the doctor seemed to have taken a lot longer than he had thought.
He was just getting a few stitches in right?
Either way he was tired and just wanted to go back to the hotel with Katsuki.
He wanted to talk to him about returning the bite but also going to his place and packing his things up. He was fully committed at this point.
A soft knock on the door sounded and Izuku glanced over as a familiar head of blonde poked his head in.
“Up for some visitors?” he asked.
“Kacchan,” Izuku said with a warm smile. “Yes, of course.”
Katsuki stepped in and Kirishima and Eri came in as well. Eri stared up at him scared, tears in her eyes as she saw the large bandage on his head.
“You okay Eri bear?” Izuku asked her softly.
“Are you okay?” she asked softly, letting go of Kirishima's hand and made her way to his side at the bed.
“I'm okay,” he said to her. “Just a boo boo.”
Seeing the tears he pat the bed. She climbed on, Katsuki going to stop her but Izuku waved him away, letting the small pup curl up against him.
“There we go. Now I'll heal faster,” Izuku said, petting her head. Katsuki looked at him worried. “She's tired. It's okay.”
Tension settled around them as the two alphas sat down in the chairs near the bed. Izuku pet Eri's hair, the young pup curling in close as she got herself comfortable.
“Izuku...I'm sorry,” Kirishima finally said, breaking the silence. “This is all my fault. I shouldn't have barged in like that.”
“You shouldn't have had a key to my hotel room either,” Katsuki growled at him. Kirishima sighed, looking down at the ground.
“It's fine I guess....” Izuku mumbled, ignoring Katsuki's comment. “But why did you do that? Why did you throw me off?”
The blonde rose a brow at the redhead who let out a small sigh.
“Katsuki and I exchange extra hotel keys just in case to protect one another, that's why I had it,” Kirishima explained. “I over reacted. After what happened the last time when Katsuki had a mate I just thought the same thing would happen again. I didn't think my best friend would survive another round of hurt like that.”
The room fell in silence again and then Izuku looked to the blonde. Their eyes met and red eyes softened as he looked at him.
“Sure it has been fast but....” Katsuki said. “This is different man. I just feel something different. And...we've both been hurt. This was a way also to help the hurt.”
“Hurt..?” Kirishima sked.
Izuku looked down at Eri as she was dozing off against his side. He thread his fingers through her hair to help her relax.
“Crazy ex...I don't really want to talk about it,” Izuku said.
“Gotcha...” the redhead said and sighed. “Again I really am sorry for that. I'm surprised though with how big your bangage is...your wound didn't look that big.”
“Maybe you caused more damage than you thought?” Katsuki snarked at him which had the redhead flinching. “You owe him man.”
“I know...”
Izuku reached with his other hand and gently touched the bandages, his head feeling numb still from where they sewed him up.
“Is it really tht big?” he asked.
Katsuki stood up, going to his side and frowned.
“Something's up,” Katsuki said.
“Indeed there was,” came a voice from the doorway. The blonde turned to look at the man. He had long raven hair and looked like he hadn't slept in a week.
“Hello, I am Dr. Aizawa,” the man said, holding out his hand for them to shake. Katsuki did and then Izuku followed. “You are right to think something was up. This was more than just a bump to the head.”
Katsuki growled, glaring at the redhead.
“Relax, or I'm going to have to ask you to leave,” the man said. “This is delicate information which may cause Mr. Midoriya to get very upset.'
Izuku grew pale and the blonde rest his hand on his shoulder, petting his skin. The touch as well as his scent helped keep him relaxed.
“Did something happen doctor?” Izuku asked softly. Was he ill? Did something happen to him?
“Well when we were stitcing you up we had found something,” Aizawa said, pulling out a small bottle with somethin hard inside. “I'm not sure if you are aware of this but this was in your head.”
Izuku took the bottle with a shaking hand and he felt his blood run cold. A microchip?
“A...a microchip?” he asked, letting Katsuki take the bottle. “What?”
“With your reaction I'm sure you were not aware of this in your body. It's a tracking chip. One that mother's usually have implanted in their children when they're babies. This looks like it had been put in within the last five years or so,” Aizawa explained.
Izuku felt tears building in his eyes. “My mother never did that.”
She wasn't like that. She was protective but not at that level and he never remembered her popping up out of nowhere. But there was someone.
“That son of a-” Katsuki started.
“Language,” Aizawa said looking down at the sleeping Eri.
Izuku felt the tears leaking down his cheeks, looking up at Katsuki. “Kachaan...he....Dabi...he...”
“Shh...I got you,” Katsuki said to him softly, pulling Izuku gently into a hug as the omega trembled in his arms, red eyes going to his friend.
“See what he meant by crazy ex?” He said. Though even Katsuki didn't know the beginning of what the heck happened.
“The chip was deactivated. We can dispose of it for you if you'd like,” the doctor offered, looking to Katsuki for the answer as Izuku was sobbing against his chest.
“Yes. Please,” Katsuki said. “It'll make us feel a lot better.”
The doctor nodded his head. “I will check up on you later.”
Katsuki continued to rub Izuku's head carefully, letting out a small sigh.
“In a way if we weren't here that chip would still be in his head,” Katsuki sighed. “I'm still not happy he got hurt but this chip has been hurting him in the longest of ways.”
Izuku wiped his eyes, trying to calm down. He felt safe with Katsuki.
*
Izuku had drifted off with his mind buzzing around. He had always wondered how Dabi had been able to find him. Now he knew. Now he knew how he always popped up.
He could have even popped up at the hotel and never knew. Without the band's special code no one would be allowed to go up into the hotel.
He woke with a small hum, rubbing one of his eyes as he sat up a bit. His head was throbbing a little from the pain but he felt a little better.
Dabi couldn't follow him anymore. But this proved that he would be gathering his things and moving with Katsuki. Always on the go and staying with the alpha that actually cared about his well being rather than just producing pups.
He was safe now. Katsuki had stepped from the room for the moment, Kirishima had gone home as well as visiting hours were over. Izuku was to be kept over night for observation.
Eri stayed curled up against him and he pet her hair gently. He was happy that the pup liked hm. Now that he was with her father he wanted to make sure that she knew that she would be loved by him. And how could he not? She was so sweet.
He leaned down brushing some hair from her face and kissed her forehead. He would give her the lover she deserved that her mother never gave her.
“Well, well, well,” came a familiar voice causing Izuku to tense, wide eyes turning to look at the familiar figure in the doorway. “So this is where you are. Been waiting for you to move out of that hotel.”
“Touya...” Izuku said, looking around. Where was Katsuki? “What do you want. How did you even get in here?”
“Had the proper paper work my mate,” Dabi said with a smirk, showing the paper work that they had signed when they were younger. “They let me walk right in, no questons asked.”
Izuku backed up against the bed, his arms resting around Eri to protect her. He had to. He had to make sure she stayed safe in this.
“Oh...finally became a mommy huh?” Dabi teased with a sickening smirk. “But of yours it isn't yours since you're so useless. Now let's go. We're going home. I'm tired of playing this cat and mouse game. We're going to try again.”
He paused as he leaned in to Izuku, noting the bandage on his neck. He slammed his hand against the wall near his head, sniffing slowly.
“You let him mark you. You sl-”
“The hell you doing here?” came Katsuki's growl.
