Name Game

Okay, so that whole name thing has been really bothering me lately cuz I gotta have something for people to call me that’s a little more comfortable than my given name and not just my username. I’ve come up with a list of gender-neutral names I really like:

Bifrost (Bridge from earth to Asgard, I thought it was neat)

Blakely (Blake for short)

Cyan

Dakota

Fallon

Farren

Finley

Leone

Rian

Ripley (I’m a bit nervous about this one because of Ripley’s Believe it or Not!)

Roan

Zephyr

Obviously, I haven’t even begun to narrow it down, but I’m working on it. It’s a start, ya know?

Introductions and Basic Information

I suppose if I’m going to just start sharing my life on the internet I should at least introduce myself. The thing is, I’m not sure what I want people to call me. I’m not a fan of my given name. It’s super gendered and I’m not sure I identify with it. It’s also super short and there’s nothing I can do with it to at least make it neutral. It’s rather confusing. I’ve played around with Jax, but I’m not sold on it. Gender neutral names that I come across are super common, and I don’t like that, I want to feel unique as childish as it may sound. For now, I guess I can be referred to as Triggered Tigger, or just Tigger, in honor of my username.

As far as pronouns go I’m used to one set that has been used to address me my entire life, though I may lean towards the opposite, so, to avoid any confusion, how about we settle on they/them? I think that’ll be fine. So yeah, if you’re wondering if I’m a boy or a girl, I’ll tell you that is an excellent question (or ‘yes’ for my other Symptoms of Being Human fans out there). 

Oh, and my favorite color is probably forest green. If you were curious.

Yo

Okay, I’m a whole 96% sure that I made this Tumblr:

1) Not knowing what I’m getting into

2) Not knowing what this site really is

3) Not knowing what the purpose of a blog is or how to run one

and most importantly

4) Because I read a great book called Symptoms of Being Human and the main character has a blog which has gotten me interested in sharing my life with a bunch of strangers online with the comfort of being behind a screen.
