a drabble, nothing big! 

 Alexandria smashed the Centurion’s head in with the Hammer, preferring to use it up close rather than throw it like a coward. Psions screeched and heavy footfalls echoed through the base as more troops came in. The Titan sprinted into the squad and swiped the hammer left and right, burning more of them to the ground until the Super Energy faded. A Psion approached from behind and attempted to take Alexandria unaware, and they spun around after checking their radar, punching it so hard it burned with the force of the Light, another punch of the same variety immediately ready from the Psion’s instant death. The Titan pulled out their shotgun, waiting for more Cabal. 

 The Cabal came in, as expected, but the air started to grow thick as well. A haze swept through the base and dimmed the lights, and black orbs materialized throughout the room. Taken were generated from the orbs, screaming in their horrifying, twisted fashion. A Colossus gunned down infinitely replicating Taken Psions and Phalanxes bashed shields with their Taken counterparts before being blasted backwards. A Val roared over the noise, taking on a Taken Centurion and bashing through its shields, fighting it hand-to-hand. 

 Alexandria watched with their shotgun at the ready, totally unaware this time of the Taken Phalanx approaching from behind. The shockwave generated from the Phalanx’s shield blew Alexandria into the fray, and ringing took over Alexandria’s hearing for a short time. The Titan shakily stood back up, and cleared their head of the ringing to focus again. Alexandria blasted a Cabal Phalanx with their shotgun, followed by a Cabal Psion and Legionnaire. After enough time, the shotgun’s sounds drew the attention of every combatant in the room, and the Taken and Cabal formed an unlikely and very temporary alliance to smash down the Guardian. 

 Overwhelming force crashed against the Guardian, and they struggled to remain conscious. Their Ghost attempted immediate revival once they finally succumbed to their injuries, but was destroyed by a Colossus’s crushing grip. The Taken and Cabal resumed fighting after a few moments, when everything and everyone knew the Guardian had been truly killed.

 Elspeth groaned and dropped the Shock Pistol, her own guns were dry and she’d used up everything available to her from the fallen, well, Fallen. The largest Fallen still stood by the terminal in the center of the Archives, his guns were dry and neither one were foolhardy enough to try to go toe-to-toe, hand-to-hand. Well, in their case, it was claw-to-knife, but it still held. The Hunter pulled back her cloak and popped off her helmet, a sharp noise of hissing air coming with it. Elspeth wiped beads of sweat from her forehead and sighed, before shouting to get the Fallen’s attention. If she couldn’t kill him, she’d let him go, but she’d have some fun insulting him before the day was over.

literally everything but dregs, vandals, thralls, and acolytes are taller than Guardians and i love it. fight a Goblin with a sword and look in third person how much taller they are than you, the first person perspective really doesn't show you how tall they are.

skolas’s height is ridiculous like

the guardian just makes up the length of his entire leg and that’s it they dont even get 2 meet up with his hip just his glorious thunderthighs

 Cleric eased up and nodded, going into a more casual stance before speaking again. “Yes, ma’am. I’ve studied everything you told me. Even dug into the Tower’s own Archives for weeks on end and didn’t find much new.” The Exo sighed, “Is there really not anything else? Aside from channeling the Solar light?” The Exo paused again before continuing, “Not to say I’m not grateful for your help in learning the abilities of the Sunsinger, and never to say I’m not grateful for the Traveler’s Light, but I just feel anxious. Is there any way to become a better Sunsinger?” 

A Quick Chat [Ikora & Cleric-9]

With a smile, Ikora stood tall and nodded at the younger Warlock. It was amusing to see her at rest, since most Guardians knew not of old military traditions, and the few who did rarely employed them. It was a slow day; taking some time to converse with another of such surprising prowess for her age would be a welcomed intrusion to the near silence of the Hall. 

“Easy now, Cleric. Of course; I’d be more than happy to help with anything you may need. Did you have something in mind, specifically? Any finer points you’d like to touch on?”

 Cleric-9 stepped down the stairs, giving Shaxx and Arcite quick nods as she approached the Vanguard trio. The Exo stepped down the small succession of stairs, just before the table the Vanguard congregated at. The Warlock stood at a position a Golden Age country’s military referred to as parade rest, legs spread ever slightly and hands behind her back. She took a small breath, the Exo was always perpetually nervous, which one would think was a bit silly considering she was both immortal and a living machine, but it was still a very real issue for her. “Ikora, ma’am,” the Exo started off, “I would like to ask you a few questions, about being a Sunsinger specifically, if it wouldn’t take too much time out of your day.”
