hello doc! I was looking up pet doves (because I was wondering about pet doves), and I found out about flight suits / bird diapers. They're basically little suits you put on a bird when they're out of their cages so they don't get crap on everything. I thought it was neat, so I wanted to ask if you'd ever put Archimedes in a silly little bird suit.

What's nssi? Like how does it usually manifest and all that?

nssi stands for non suicidal self harm, and includes any form of deliberate self-inflicted injury without suicidal intent. this manifests in many different ways (anything from cutting to burning, biting, scratching, etc) and for many different reasons (its commonly seen in a variety of mental illnesses and mood disorders, neurodivergent individuals, and substance abuse). how exactly it manifests is most likely going to be different for each person and for different reasons, so i cant go that much further into specifics without you a slightly more specific question. also, if youre curious how it may or may not manifest in autism i highly recommend you check out this post here because it is explained and presented fairly well!!

people with low empathy are important in the friendship sphere, sometimes you just need someone to play video games and complain at losing while you try and ground yourself to reality. I personally love my low empathy friends, and would kill for them

Hallo Doc!

What's it like to get suddenly launched into the air by Soldier or Demo when using the Quick-Fix? I'd imagine it's pretty disorienting and maybe a bit nauseating, but also thrilling? Maybe a combination of all of those?

I'd love to hear your thoughts/experiences on the topic.

ach tja, it is certainly disorienting and nauseating.... especially if its unexpected. being launched around at random with no warning (sometimes several times in a row! i feel as though i am being shaken around like a dog toy at times....) is not what i would consider to be fun. i do love the quick-fix dearly and being able to easily stay next to my patients is wonderful, although i do wish i would get a little warning before being unceremoniously flung into the sky at a whim, as is often the case.

however, it isnt all bad!! in fact, with a little bit of planning and a good strategy, it can actually be very fun! its not nearly as nauseating if i know im about to be thrown into the air before it happens, and there is nothing like descending from the heavens completely unannounced right behind enemy lines with weapons at the ready

theres not much that i would consider to be 'too weird'. of course if you are going to be unkind in my tags then i will not be very happy with you, but otherwise youre more than welcome to be as unhinged in the tags as you would like
