I return again, my thirst for knowledge of any and all Magiquest lore returns which makes me ask if you know anywhere that I can watch stuff for the Ice Dragon or Goblin King questlines.

I’ve played Magiquest once but here we don’t have either of those segments which is really unfortunate because they seem SO COOL! Anyways thank you again!! >:D

I don’t know if anyone’s asked but do you know the general story of Magiquest Online? I’ve been looking for information but I’m REALLY bad at finding things apparently lol

Yes indeed I do! I actually have the disc + scraped some videos + sound clips off of it :3

The rough story is that Lokari is your guide through the digital realms as you first rescue five Morphs (spirits, basically, associated with each of the five clans) before you unlock the portal to the Twisted Woods.

From here, Willow steps up to guide you through your the main quest of the game— though it seems you could choose whether to side with Willow or Lokari, as there are different “success” videos for at least one of the Runes you’re tasked with collecting, and seemingly the first because Lokari comments on how he’s giving it to you “so early” in your journey (one where Lokari interrupts Willow and just gives you the combined Cloud-Hammer rune right away, and one where Willow thanks you for helping her “unplug” Lokari and gives you the Cloud rune before sending you on a second quest for the Hammer rune)

After some more running around gathering runes (Magma Rune, Thunder Rune and Chisel Rune; not 100% sure what the intended order was for those), you get to fight the Stone Golem! He’s trapped a powerful Morph, the old guardian of the Twisted Woods, and it’s your job to free her from her prison! Willow connects the quest stones back to Lokari so he can help you by giving you hints for the fight (though the more hints you need, the more gold he asks for) aaaaaaaand…….

That was it.

Nothing else after you beat the Golem.

The intention WAS to keep releasing chapters with new portals to explore, but this was right around the time MagiQuest was sold to GWL, and GWL didn’t care about maintaining the online game, so after Chapter One… it ended.

Of course, the conceit of the Silver Dragon adventure was that Lokari and Willow needed your help to stop a dragon from the virtual realms breaking into the real world— so Lokari and Willow do live on at the remaining Legacy locations :’)

I have a big soft spot for Lokari, and his actor did an interview where he said they only used about a third of the footage they shot in the game— I’d LOVE to know what else they filmed, but it’s doubtful we’ll ever see that unused footage. Just like it’s doubtful we’ll find more about what was intended for the next chapters. My MagiQuest Online tag has some videos and sound clips from the game disc, and I’ll scrape + post more eventually.

hi!! not late at all, Magi! the Golden Key was used at a small handful of locations to unlock hidden, secret areas in the Kingdom!

technically speaking Golden Keys are no longer in use (wands will now open these areas), but if you find one second-hand it can still be used at Pigeon Forge!

hi!! i saw you wished for better footage of the xavier fight – not sure if you've spotted this yet, but the first clip from the fight was posted in an unlisted youtube video! (the link isn't sending right in this format for some reason, but it's youtube . com / watch?v=DDOa4543Kgc) it's not the whole thing, but i think it might be good for gif-making, if you were ever interested in remaking those :D

YO???????? I’ll have to test that clip, it’s technically lower quality than the source I used but I won’t have to crop it like crazy!! hopefully that will save some of the quality 😭😭😭

was changing pins around on some bags, and just realized I don’t think I ever showed off my Master Magi pin? when you completed the Master Magi Rune Quest at the MOA realm, they’d announce your Magi name over the speakers and give you a pin!

it’s one of my prized possessions actually ^_^

I’d be curious to know if any other locations gave you a pin?? I got a certificate from the knighting ceremony at GWL so some locations still do fun stuff like that, but that’s not like, a trinket

greetings from the anon who asked for the carren gifs — thank you thank you thank you!!! she’s my favorite character and the gifs came out so cool :D (especially the fire rune one. that’s my favorite cutscene) also i didn’t even think about this but the gifs are gonna be SO useful as references for the carren cosplay i’m putting together for halloween. i did not think about how hard it would be to find images until the project was already in progress lmao :/ thank you so much!!!
