What kinds of challenges did pickle have being the trollhunter? Were there any parts that came easier than others? I wonder what kind of lessons Blinky would have watched Pickle learn and then was able to teach Jim as well 🤔

Pickle was pretty young when he was chosen, so that's definitely a big thing for him. He's smart, and naturally skilled, but he's still young and learning. I'm not saying he died because he was too young, but I am saying if he was say, Draal's age, and had the time to learn and grow, he might've stood a better chance. I also think that despite having the mantle of Trollhunter, his age keeps the other trolls from coming to him with issues they may have. I feel like it's different than with Jim, because they've all known him since he was born and they understand troll ages better than human. So I'd say the biggest challenge was his age in terms of naivety and the fact he's lived so little + also people not taking him seriously.

I think fighting in general is something he excelled at? He's been learning from Draal and some other trolls since he was old enough to hold a sword/take a punch, and being super small + fast + having six arms to climb walls definitely gives him advantages over bigger trolls like Bular. Unfortunately size and speed does not help as much with, say, changelings. :]

This last one is such a good question bc I haven't really thought about it much... I feel like Blinky's track record of training Unkar (training with air quotes bc Unkar's stupid ass did not listen) who died, helping Kanjigar who dies, then training his own son who died before he even reached adulthood has got to do things to your brain that can't be undone. Like canon things Blinky has instilled in Jim? Definitely fear. Being afraid is what keeps you alive and he needs Jim alive, if nothing else. Also being smart about what fights he can handle, being realistic about those things is something he definitely taught Pickle. We have to keep in mind Blinky is super smart and strategic, and that has to have rubbed off on Pickle in some ways- that's literally the guy who raised him! Ofc he's gonna pick up things like that. I do think Blinky's insistence to finish the fight at the start may have been influenced by how Pickle died but shhhh

🍐 What is your OC’s mentality? Are they overall positive? Negative? A bit of both? Describe their thought patterns and reasoning behind their choice making!

Früll is a beacon of positivity, and well meant heart! He strives to be an optimist from the teachings of his momma. Even when there's no good things TO see, he'll see them! It'd have to be a very very bad thing for him to see the negativity of that something.

💤 What was your OC like as a baby, a child and as a teen? (if your OC is a teen or a child, what will they be like as an adult?). How have they changed since then? What lessons have they learned and what things about their youth do they miss the most? Do they have any general regrets?

As a child, Früll— er, well… nothing has changed. He's still the wide eyed bushy haired hopeful and over enthusiastic boy he was then. Ok, maybe his hair wasn't AS long as it is now.  As for regrets? He wishes he'd listened to his mother a bit more. Maybe she'd still be with him if he hadn't of jumped headfirst into danger while trying to be a brave and strong warrior just like her. As a teen, Früll got into making moonshine and homemade bread, which he is happy to see alongside his jewelry making business in the human! Au.

💜 Music or silence? Swords or Spells? Cities or Nature?

MUSIC. Früll is a heavy rocker and a smooth country fan! He'll blare a mixture of the two anywhere with a radio. 

SWORD. This guy is very very skilled in physical fighting. He could tear your head from your shoulders if you gave him reason to!

NATURE. Früll was raised in the wilderness of the mountains. He loves nature. He loves the animals. The views. The calm. The jewelry shop he runs us nothing but nature based decor. In the human au, his HOME is an ACTUAL log cabin built off in the more woodsy areas far off from the regular town.

When I say Ceb had long hair when he was younger I mean it. This boi had LONG hair. Most of the bulls in his family do. It's super soft too. In fact, he cut it because trolls liked to stop him just to pet those soft locks of his. That and whelps like to yank on hair.
