ok but that's one thing that really bugged me in canon and so it'll never happen here;

Kenzi is no contact with 90% of her family. most of all her mother, bc she chose to stand by her husband instead of her own daughter. Kenzi’s stepfather made her life miserable, and her whole family ignored it or brushed it off. the only reason she saw her mother again was bc someone else reached out behind her back. she never would have done so on her own, and it makes me so mad every time.

especially bc her mother hasn't changed ! she still blames Kenzi for how her stepfather treated her, and even tries to hit her for speaking up about it !

we ain't doing that here. Kenzi is no contact except for a select few of her cousins who help her out from time to time.

💡 What inspires you to write the muse? / the muse you've had the longest

ok this is a bit of a birdie lore drop lol

so Kenz is my longest muse, I started writing her in like 2010/2011 back in the dayyyyy, when I was just a wee goth kid and found out a goth character on some Canadian show had the same name as me (suprise !) and even beyond that I just felt really drawn to her.

since then I have gone through some similar things to her, which made me feel even more connected to her character. but beside that, she's just so enjoyable to write honestly, so I find it pretty effortless to pull her out whenever I need to, even though her canon show is dead and gone 🤣 thank goodness she's so easy to toss into other fandoms!

Kenzi hates thunderstorms. can't stand to be in her trailer feeling the walls shake, it's too similar to her childhood. so she either sits out on her front steps, wrapped up in one of the blankets from her couch, or in her car with the music blasting.

she can handle it better if she's not alone or at someone else's place. but she'll still twitch slightly at any particularly loud thunder.
