Syd’s POV

"Hey look at me" Yoshi said and held my hands. He’s squatting infront of me habang ako nakaupo sa kama. I didn’t look at him cause I’m afraid I might tear up.

His grandparents & Kris’ talked about the both of them on the dining table. Sinabi rin nila na dapat Yoshi should’ve chose a woman who’s adventurous and mas may alam gawin sa mundo. Parang sinampal nila sa mukha ko na I’m not the one for him.

"Mahal" Yoshi told me. He held my chin and let me face him. The only light we have is the lampshade beside us. "I’m sorry"

"I’m not the right one for you" bulong ko while looking directly at his eyes.

"You are the only one for me, Syd" he said while his thumb carresing my face. "I’m sorry for everything they said" Yumuko lang ako playing with my hands. "Kris & I had been friends since birth, ewan ko pero parang gusto ata nila magkatuluyan kami. Although Kris & I didn’t work out and ayaw talaga namin na maging more than bestfriends kami. It feels so weird you know? Hindi ko alam kung bakit hindi parin nila nilelet-go yun"

"I don’t know a lot about the world, mahal. Do you think I’ll be good for you?"

"You don’t have to know a lot or memorize the whole world just to be the right one for me, mahal. Just be yourself." he said. "I love you for who you are, Syd. Nothing and no one can ever change that."

I looked at his eyes, because it’s always telling the truth. His eyes told me the truth tho. I can see that he’s truly sincere with what he said.

"I’m sorry. I don’t know why I am insecure about a lot of things" bulong ko.

"I love you" He said a lot of times while kissing my face. He cupped my cheek. "I love you" And his lips landed on mine. It was long and full of love. Nung bumitaw siya my tears were already falling. "Why?"

"I love you" ngiti ko.

Syd’s POV

"Sa dinami dami kasi ng gusto mong laruin, twister pa talaga Zake" Reklamo ni Junkyu kay Zake who’s now pointing at his ninongs who are tangled at each other.

"Left foot sa Red Ninong Sukkie!" Zake shouted while laughing.

"Hoy putcha itabi mo yang paa mo mashiho!" Hyunsuk said.

"Gago edi pag tinabi ko out na ako!" Mashiho replied.

"ANG BIGAT NG PAA MO JIHOON" Yoshi shouted.

"Ninong Jeyi! Right hand to the blue!"

"Wow sana okay pa tayo" Jaehyuk laughed habang sinksik yung kamay niya sa blue na nasa gitna ng katawan ni Junkyu & Mashiho.

"Ganyan talaga sila" Feli said beside me. We’re here sa garden habang sa loob sila nag ttwister.

"They look cute" I smiled.

"Gin?" She asked me while we’re walking back to the table. We’re cooking samgyupsal.

"I don’t drink" I smiled a little.

"You don’t?" tanong ni Pau. Tumango ako. "Ang opposite niyo ni Yoshi! Cute"

"Juice nalang" Chari said and gave me a glass of orange juice.

"Thank you" I smiled and accepted it. "How many months?" I said sabay tingin sa tummy niya.

"6" She smiled. "And a baby girl"

"Kaya dapat pa-juice juice lang muna! Bawal kay mommy chari ang alak" Zia said while flipping the meat.

I smiled while watching them cook and we laugh when Lani says something funny. Their friendship is adorable. They show their true side and they are friendly kaya madali lang din sakin na makipagbonding sakanila.

"Bango ah!" Yoshi said behind me and smelled the pork.

"Bakit ka andito naglalaro pa kayo ni Zake diba!" Feli said. "Sige ka hindi ka na favorite ninong"

"Grabe gutom na ako kasi" Tawa ni Yoshi sabay hila ng upuan sa tabi ko. Tumingin siya sa’kin sabay ngiti.

"Pau ako na diyan" I smiled sabay kuha nung tongs sakanya.

"Sige paglutuan mo na yang pababy na panget na yan" Pau said which made me laugh.

I stood up para makaluto ako ng maayos sa lutuan na nasa harap namin. I was focused on flipping the pork when I felt yoshi stood up. Napatingin ako sakanya when he held his palm out.

"Hairtie?" he asked.

Binigay ko sakanya yung tali ko not knowing what he would do with it. Nagulat ako when he walked papunta sa likod ko to tie my hair up.

"Ay sweet" Zia said sabay kindat.

I chuckled and I felt my cheeks turn red.

After he tied my hair lumapit siya sa tabi ko and his face almost close to mine.

"Okay na yan" He said and turned to me. His nose is like inches far from my cheek.

"YOSHI MAY BATA" Jihoon and the guys said. Andito na pala sila.

"Dad don’t cover my eyes!" Zake said. "I want to see Ninong Yoshi’s moves!"

"Zake Andrew???" Feli said habang nakapamewang.

"Wav you mom" Zake chuckled and that made all of us laugh too.

Zia’s POV

"Wait bakit lumiliko na agad tayo?" tanong ko.

"Ihahatid na kita"

"4PM palang, baby! Kain muna and mag-uusap pa tayo!" I said.

He turned to the window pero I can tell that he flashed a smile. "Saan?"

"Ikaw bahala" sabi ko sabay sandal sa upuan.

"Salad lang?" He asked me while frowning at my meal.

"Whatever" sabi ko sabay subo. "How are you?"

"Doing good for the past 3 weeks" he answered.

I pouted. "Doing good ka? ako hindi. I’ve been thinking about you"

"Kamusta nga pala yung labas niyo ni Zera? I bet that’s where all of this happened. Anong sinabi niya sa’yo?" I said.

I nodded while listening to his story. Tama nga ako. Zera showed him the screenshot of my conversation with Seunghun last year about sa laro lang yung kay Junkyu.

"But she told me she wants us to try again" sabi niya.

"Really? Seunghun said the same thing. But I always rejected him since ikaw nga ang mahal ko. Plus I told him that I’ll fix this problem between us" Sabi ko. "I even fought with Zera multiple times. Ang taas ng pride ng babaeng yon"

Junkyu sighed before placing his spoon and fork down. "Zia, can you explain everything to me?"

I smiled and reached for his hand. I held it. "This is what I’ve been waiting for" I sighed before talking. "Baby, Nung pinaka-una tayong nagkita, iniisip ko lang talaga na makipag-laro sa’yo since you love playing with love too. But then you always take me out, you were always there for me when I have down days or hard times, you introduced me to your wonderful friends and to your mom. Who wouldn’t fall for that? Pero Junkyu, I didn’t tell it to you agad because I’m scared that If I fall, this might all just be a game for you. Which has happened vice versa. Believe me or not, I am already inlove with you. I admitted it to Ky and Asahi and sabi ko rin sakanila na patatagalin ko muna ang panliligaw mo since I want to feel it too. I’m sorry for everything I’ve done and I promise that it won’t ever happen again, baby. I swear"

Instead of answering back he cupped my face and gave me a peck. "I love you"

"Hmm. I love you" I said while holding his hand na hawak yung pisngi ko. "Bakit parang ang bilis naman neto? Diba nga galit ka sa’kin tas nag-walk out ka?"

He pouted while I laughed. Kinurot ko yung ilong niya. "Kain na! Kwekwentuhan pa tayo!"

"Zia" He said. "I’m sorry if I believed Zera over you"

"It’s okay, baby. Ang mahalaga, pinakinggan mo na ako ngayon" I smiled.

Zia’s POV

"Di ka parin mamamansin?" tanong ko.

Tuloy parin siya sa paglaro ng lol sa computer niya or puta valorant ewan ko bahala siya diyan.

"Okay fine, tatawagan ko na si Seunghun para sunduin ako" I said and tumayo.

"Upo" he seriously said.

"Ayoko"

"Upo, Zia." He said at hinila yung bewang ko para makaupo sa computer chair na katabi niya. "Tatapusin ko lang to, tapos mag-uusap tayo"

Humalukipkip ako at nagtaas ng kilay. "Sus kaya kitang labanan diyan. Xbox nga lang ako magaling"

He turned the computer off at tumayo papunta sa may sala to open the tv. Bigla kong nakita na inaayos na pala niya yung xbox. I stood up and walked towards him.

"Tara" He said and tapped the space between his legs. Nakaupo siya ngayon sa sahig.

"Nuyan? Diyan ako uupo?" I laughed.

"Oo" sabi niya at hinila ako. He fixed his sitting position and gave me a controller. "Tignan natin sino panalo" He whispered at my ear which gave me goosebumps.

Pinatong niya yung dalawa niyang elbow sa tuhod niya na nasa gilid ko kaya asa harap ko ngayon yung controller. Ang lapit sa mukha ko kaya sumandal pa ako lalo sakanya para makita yung screen.

"Galawan mo ah" sabi ko sabay tawa "Game!"

In the middle of the game Junkyu groaned since I’m so close to winning. Ha! Naglalaban kami ni Ky and Asahi sa ganto sa dorm namin noh! Kala niya!

Junkyu breathed heavily on my neck when the tv already said that the winner was controller a which is me. I laughed. "Ha! Kala mo ah!"

He didn’t say a thing at binitawan niya yung controller. I continued to search for another game while I allow his arms to snake on my belly. I knew he would do this. Who would sit in this position kung wala namang gagawing ganto mygosh.

"I missed you" he whispered while planting soft kisses on my shoulder up to my neck. I let him do it.

"Me too" I smiled pero patuloy parin sa paghahanap ng laro. "Wait are we still gonna.... play"

"I guess not" He said at hinarap na ako sakanya.

Chari’s POV

“Jae, I swear they’re way too different from Doyoung and we have a visitor” I said after ko huminga ng malalim.

Jaehyuk held my hand and smiled at me. “You don’t have to worry, Chari. Naiintindihan ko.” He said and he planted a kiss on my forehead.

I breathed heavily again before ako tumango at pumasok na kami sa loob. Felix saw me and lumapit siya sa amin ni Jae.

“They know already that it didn’t work out” bulong niya sa akin. Tumango ako. “Jaehyuk, right? Felix Lee”

“I know. Jaehyuk Yoon" Jae said, and they shook their hands.

Felix’s parents were both smiling at me kaya medyo gumaan yung loob ko. I haven’t looked at mom and dad’s side but I know they’re looking at us. Plus Jaehyuk didn’t let go of my hand yet. Tumayo silang dalawa at lumapit samin.

"Felix already told us that both of you didn’t work out" sabi ni Tita. I smiled at her. "Is he the one? A Yoon?"

"Yes tita"

Tita held my hand and smiled. "You deserve to be happy, I’m sorry kung pinit kita for Felix for what? 6 years?" she laughed. Natawa rin ako.

"Things won’t really go out the way it was planned tita, I’m sorry If I ever disappointed you. Tito too"

"Originally dapat fixed marriage na talaga to pero since it didn’t work out then I told Carlos that this should be stopped" Tito said.

"Tito everyone has the freedom to love. Wala man po ako sa pwestong sabihin sainyo ‘to pero sana po bigyan niyo na ng Freedom si Felix to choose who he wants. Fixed Marriages are way too overrated these days. Lahat ng tao may karapatang magmahal" I said which made Tito nod.

"Naiintindihan ko, Charlotta. Thank you for telling that too. I hope your dad would accept this, would accept you two" sabi ni Tito. "Anyway we have to leave now nakapag-paalam na kami kayla Carlos. I wish you both the best."

"Jaehyuk, tell your mom I said Hi! And we should have tea sometime" sabi ni Tita.

Jaehyuk smiled. "Yes, Tita. Makakarating po"

Tito & Tita went straight for the door while Felix smiled at me. "Thank you, Chari"

"Anything for you and Aya" I smiled and shook his hands.

"Goodluck" he said to the both of us and he left.

"Charlotta" sabi ni dad.

I know I’m not scared anymore but my heart beated fast after that. Naglakad kami ni Jae palapit sakanila since they’re sitting on the living room.

"Dad, Mom" I said.

Mom smiled at me at lumapit. She kissed my cheek. "Talk to your dad. We’ll talk later" she turned to Jaehyuk. "Jaehyuk can I have a word?"

Tumingin ako kay Jaehyuk and he smiled at me. "Yes tita" sabi niya. He let go of my hand at sumunod na kay mom sa garden.

I looked at Doyoung and he signaled me to sit beside him sa sofa. Dad was busy with his watch, fixing it.

"Dad" I said after I sit beside Doyoung.

"Wala ka bang respeto sa akin, Charlotta?" He said. "Ilang beses ba nating pag-uusapan ‘to?"

"Dad, bakit ka ba galit na galit?"

"I hate them. I hate everything about his family. Sila nalang laging na aappreciate sa office most especially the works! Ako? Parang wala lang ako. All of my works are thrown away. Tapos makikita ko lng yung anak kong kasama anak nila? No, Charlotta."

"Dad can you hear yourself?" I asked. Sa gulat niya napatingin siya sa’kin. He was about to say a word pero nauna ako. "Sobrang sobrang babaw ng dahilan mo. Dad I don’t see a reason why you should be mad at them? I’m sorry for the word pero napakawalang kwenta nung reason mo. It’s nonsense. Pero kung ganyan nararamdaman mo bakit kailangang idamay pa kami ni Jaehyuk?"

"Is Jaehyuk the only person in the world? Can’t you at least look for another? Sayang si Felix! LAHAT BINIBIGAY KO SA’YO CHARLOTTA!"

"YOU ARE NOT GIVING ME EVERYTHING DAD!" I fired. "You are not giving me my happiness! You are not giving me freedom!"

Doyoung carressed my back since my voice is already breaking. We both know that anytime now my tears will fall.

"How dare you?" Dad asked. "Isa lang hinihingi ko sa’yo hindi mo maibigay?"

"Kalayaan lang hinihingi ko sa’yo, pero hindi mo maibigay?"

Dad looked at me in the eye and I did too. My tears fell already pero hindi ko ito pinunasan. I’m angry and sad at the same time my feelings are mixed and messed up already.

"Dad paulit ulit naman tayo dito eh" I said. I saw Jaehyuk and Mom enter the sala from my pheriperal vision. "If you can’t accept Jaehyuk for me then I’m sorry but I won’t go home or talk to you unless you accept the fact that I love him and there’s nothing you can do about it. Fix your anger issues, dad. Don’t include the both of us because we have nothing to do with that. And take the condo back, take my car back I don’t fucking care. The only one that you can’t take away from me is Jaehyuk. Never again, dad. Never. Again."

Dad didn’t talk at patuloy lang siya sa paghilot ng sentido niya. Tumayo ako at lumapit kay mom at jaehyuk. Jaehyuk held my hand. "You’re the bravest" he whispered.

"Mom, I have to go" sabi ko.

Tumango si Mom. "Doyoung and I will talk to your dad, Anak. Jaehyuk told me that you’ll go home to his condo, I won’t tell your dad. Mag-ingat kayo"

Tumango ako kay mom at naglakad na kami ni Jaehyuk palabas ng bahay. Pagkapasok namin ng kotse niya he faced me. He cupped my face and wiped my tears with his thumb.

"You are my brave girl" he smiled. "You did well, chubs. I love you."

I closed my eyes and he pulled me for a hug. "I poured my heart out" sabi ko habang nakapatong yung ulo ko sa balikat niya.

"I know. Let’s fetch amore at your condo then let’s go home on mine"

"Jae can I stay at your house for a while? Ayokong tumira sa condo ko, dad owns that"

"I told that to your mom already. She agreed na tumira ka muna sa akin for a while" he said habang sinusuklay yung buhok ko.

"She did?" Tanong ko.

Mom for all the years was always so silent. She never said her thoughts to me or she never showed me how she cared. Nagulat lang ako dito dahil I thought she’s on dad’s side too.

"Uhuh" Jaehyuk said. He kissed my forehead before allowing me to let go of the hug.

Nagseatbelt na ako then he held my hand with the hand he’s using for the gear and we drove away already.

I chose you this time, Chubs. You over everything. Because I know I can do anything when I am with you.

Chari’s POV

Hiniga ko si Jae sa kama ko, he’s already sleeping. Dito ko na siya inuwi kasi hindi ko naman gustuhing dumeretso sa bahay nila, nakakahiya rin naman. Tsaka hindi ko alam kung asan ‘yung condo niya since bibihira lang naman siyang pumunta doon.

I wiped his face and arms with a wet towel and inayos ko rin yung pagkakahiga niya. After that I sat down on the bed and watched his pretty face.

"Hindi ka ba matutulog?" he whispered.

"Lasing ka pa?" tanong ko habang sinuklay yung buhok niya.

He pulled me and that made me lie down on his arm and he looked at me. Magkatabi na kami ngayon sa kama.

"A little" he whispered again. "Let’s sleep Chari"

He closed his eyes and placed his hand on my waist. He pulled me closer as if may space pa sa gitna naming dalawa. My hands were on his chest, harang dahil sobrang lapit.

"Clingy ka noh" I chuckled.

"Oo" he said and moved closer kaya natanggal ko na yung kamay ko sa chest niya. His forhead is now on my collarbone. He kissed it and breathed there which made my goosebumps show up. "I love you, goodnight"

I felt Amore sa paanan namin at humiga siya sa kama. Amore yung tatay mo gabing gabi nagpapakilig pa. I rolled my eyes at hinalikan yung tainga ni Jaehyuk. I closed my eyes after I wrapped my arms around him.

Chari’s POV

"Nasa aklan na raw sila pasakay na ng boat" sabi ni Jaehyuk pagkapasok sa kwarto.

"Okie" sabi ko habang inaayos yung kama. "Saan ka taas baba?"

"Saan mo ba gusto?"

"Taas" sagot ko.

"Edi sa baba ako" he chuckled.

Bakit tumatawa? Nag-isip ako kaya lumaki mata ko at binato ko siya ng unan na sinalo naman niya. "Siraulo"

"Tumawa lang ako!" He said and I rolled my eyes at him at binuksan yung veranda. Sa limang kwarto na kinuha ko eto lang may veranda since isang room nalang naman na available.

Tumabi si Jaehyuk sa’kin while drinking his banana milk.

"Banana Milk na dumadaloy sa dugo mo" sabi ko.

"Alam ko, okay lang hindi naman ako nagrereklamo" sabi niya kaya natawa ako. "Gusto mo? May isa ako sa bag"

Kinuha ko yung banana milk niya at ininom na ‘yon. He was shocked at first pero hinayaan niya nalang ako at tinignan namin yung dagat na pumapalo sa dalampasigan.

"Jae remember before?"

"Hmm?"

"Yung pangarap ko na ikasal sa beach" sabi ko.

Tumango siya. "Why would I forget that, Chari?"

"Wala lang. Naisip ko lang" sabi ko habang tinitignan yung couple na nagpipicture sa dagat. "It must be so nice"

"Hmm, oo. Since amoy yung simoy ng dagat and the feels are different too" sagot niya.

"Bakit Ikaw? Saan mo gusto?" sabi ko.

"Kung saan gusto ng mahal ko, doon naman ako lagi, Chari" he said.

"Mhm, kung saan gusto ni Ela?"

Sinimangutan niya ako that’s why I bursted into laughter.

"Sino ba may sabing gusto ko ‘yon?"

"Ewan feels ko lang" sabi ko.

Huminga siya ng malalim. "Ikaw parin naman, Chari. Hindi nagbago ‘yon"

My heart suddenly beated fast. Chubs, me too. But I don’t know what the future has for us. Sumabit ako sa balikat niya at sinandal niya yung ulo niya sa akin.

"But I’ll wait for you. I told you, kahit gaano katagal, hahantayin kita, Charlotta" He lifted his pinky finger. "It will always be you. I promise"

We intertwined our pinky fingers and I smiled before talking. "It will always be you"

He planted a kiss on my head before we head downstairs because Yoshi already called that they went down the boat already. Sinundo na namin sila.

Chari’s POV

Nakahalukipkip ako habang pinapanood si Jae na magbukas ng banana milk niya. He’s smiling while doing it kaya napa tawa rin ako ng mahina.

"Bakit ka tumatawa?" tanong niya.

"Wala" sagot ko.

Maayos na niyang nalagay yung straw at agad na siyang uminom. He really loves this drink jusko? Banana milk na yata dumadaloy sa dugo neto.

"Bakit ang sama ng tingin mo?" tanong niya pero nakasmirk.

"Bakit ang dami mong tanong?" tanong ko. Pero nagulat din ako sa sinabi ko.

Bigla siyang humagalakpak sa tawa. Sa hiya ko, I turned around and started to walk away.

"Chari wait!" sabi niya at hinawakan siko ko. "We are still gonna go somewhere"

"Huh?"

"Someone wants to meet you, come!" sabi niya at hinila yung wrist ko.

My heart suddenly had a fast beat as we walk together. Nasa harap ko siya guiding me to somewhere while I was walking behind him watching his back and his hand holding my wrist.

Jae took me to the soccerfield’s tables sa gilid where Lani and Feli is quietly eating their lunch. Nung nakita nila kami ni Jae na parating they both smiled and waved their hands at us. My heart remained nervous lalo na’t nakita ko pa silang dalawa.

I’m still scared to face them.

"Hi!" sabi ni Lani.

"So ayun nga chari miss na kita sana patawarin mo ako binackstab kita nung wala ka samin kasi sobrang gal—"

"Pwedeng kumalma ka teh atat ka eh noh?" sabi ni Lani kaya napatigil si Feli. "Paupuin mo kaya sila. Jae upo kaya kayo?"

Naupo kami ni Jae sa harap ni Lani at Feli. I was too scared that I didnt know what to say so I just smiled.

"Ngayon kayo magsalita" sabi ni Jae.

"Mauna ka na Feli atat ka eh" sabi ni Lani which made me smile.

Huminga ng malalim si Feli. "So yon Chari, miss na kita. sana patawarin mo ako binackstab kita nung wala ka samin kasi sobrang galit ako talaga nung iniwan mo si Jae without proper explanations. Tapos nakita pa kita sa event na kasama si Felix Lee. So yes kaya ayon, galit ako ng sobra non that’s why I didn’t have the guts to talk to you or to ask you about it." She smiled at hinawakan yung kamay ko. "Please forgive me chari ko. I love you"

"Hmm, ayaw ko?" sabi ko. She frowned. "Joke. I love you too, Feli ko. I missed you!" Feli smiled with his teary eyes.

"Oh baka mag-hug na kayo magsasalita pa ako wait lang" sabi ni Lani. Huminga din ng malalim si Lani. "Sa totoo lang hindi naman kasi ako talaga galit salo like you know nagtatampo lang kasi we were left without explanations, lalo na si Jae. Yung iyak niya samin non talagang mas nainis lang ako sa’yo"

"Don’t go there Hannah" sabi ni Jae. Parang mas lalo akong nalungkot na ayaw niyang pag-usapan yon. I really hurted him that much, huh? I’m so sorry my Jae :(

Lani rolled her eyes at Jae at nagpatuloy na si Lani. "Pero as years past by, wow antaray noh 3 years lang naman nakalipas kala mo 5 years" Pinalo siya ni Feli sa balikat kasi hindi parin seryoso kaya tumawa kami. "Aray puta ka. Pero as years past by nga, narealize ko na nakakamiss ka pala. Siyempre we were all together since grade 7 ang hirap namang lalayo ka sa amin, diba? So I opened it up to Feli, Jae & Mashi and they agreed with me kaya here we are taking to you. I’m sorry if I ever hurted your feelings before Chari ko. I love you. Come back to our friendship please?"

"I love you too Lani ko" I smiled and the tears that were pooling from my eyes earlier streamed down to my face.

3 years all I have was Doyoung, Felix and Hiraya. I never thought that this day would come.

"But are you sure that you want me back kahit wala pa akong matinong reason why I left you? Why I left Jae?" I said that was almost like a whisper.

"Chari" sabi ni Jae kaya napatingin ako sakanya. "You can tell us the reason anytime because we can wait. Pero for now, all we want is for us to be five again." He smiled at pinat yung ulo ko. "Don’t worry about that, Chari. We’re still good friends. We are all still your best friends"

With that reassurance, I smiled. I’m so lucky to have them. Insert Mashi na asa Japan!

"Group hug na agad!" sigaw ni Lani. Feli and Lani both went to me and hugged me thight. They both kissed me on my cheeks and they were crying.

"Tangina namiss kita eh" sabi ni Feli habang umiiyak. "Namiss ka namin"

"Ako rin naman" I said while hugging the two of them thight.

Lahat kayo namiss ko.

"Jae can we talk?" tanong ko kay jaehyuk. Pabalik na dapat kami kila Feli since galing kami ng canteen.

"Sure chubs, ano yon?" he faced me and held my elbow.

I looked directly to his eyes and he’s so happy. So innocent and doesn’t even know what i’m about to do. I smiled.

"If one day someone will let you choose between your dreams or me, what would you choose?" I asked.

I actually don’t know what he will answer. Laman ng utak ko ngayon, gulong gulo na. I can’t even think straight in class. I’m out of focus.

He cupped my face. "I would choose my dream" I closed my eyes. "Because my dream is to be a pilot and to live a happy life with you" sa pagkagulat ko, my eyes started to pool as I look at his eyes. He’s smiling. "Chari, why would I let someone make me choose? This is my life."

Well in my case, my jae, I don’t have the courage to say that directly to my dad. He always thinks that my decision is never enough. My decision or my success never amazes him. Hindi ko na alam anong gagawin ko.

"Is something wrong? You can talk to me, chubs" He lifted my chin up but I closed my eyes.

I can’t look at you directly, chubs. If I do, I know I can’t do what I’m about to do now. My tears fell from my eye.

"Jae"

He did not respond but I felt his thumb carresing my face. He wiped the tear under my eye.

"Someone asked me that question and... I chose my dreams..." I sighed. "over you" I whispered.

"Who asked you that?" He said after a long silence. "What’s happening?"

"Just someone. And napagod narin kasi ako, Jae" sabi ko. "Itigil na natin to. I’m way more focused on my dreams. I want to achieve my dreams"

Tumingin na ako sakanya now but he’s blurry since my tears are blocking my view.

"Let’s achieve our dreams together, Chari. Don’t do this." He said and catched my eye. "Don’t let anyone control you"

I’m afraid I can’t do that. I don’t have the courage to do so. I’m not brave. Malakas man ako mag mura o mang-asar but deep down inside I’m insecure, I’m scared. I don’t know how to make my own decisions.

He hugged me which made me cry even more. I kissed his ear and I tapped his back. "Let’s stop, Jae"

"Will you go back to me?" he asked.

Kumawala ako sa yakap at ngumiti. I’m so sorry, my Jae. Mahal na mahal kita. I turned my back and walked papunta sa gate. There I saw my little brother. He didn’t smile or did anything he just hugged me thight. And my tears continued to fall.

Chari’s POV

While making my ig story, my heart is already beating fast. I had goosebumps when i felt jaehyuk behind me. I know it’s him.

"Hey, turn around"

I turned around and I was right. He was smiling so happily, standing infront of me. He was holding a boquet of chrysanthemum flowers and a cake. He smiled at me.

"Happy fourth anniversary, my chari" he said, it was almost like a whisper.

I can’t even say a thing because my heart beated so fast. I’m already crying. Do i deserve this? Do i even deserve you?

He placed the cake on the table and opened his arms wide. I walked towards him and burried my face on his chest. Jae planted a kiss on my head.

"Happy 4th anniv, I love you more, my jae" sagot ko.

He lifted my chin up and reached my lips. It was not so long and not too short but I felt his love and sincerity with the kiss he gave me.

"Thank you for this" I smiled. My arms are on his shoulder while his arms are on my waist.

"Anything for you, chubs" he smiled. "Wait one more thing"

He reached for a cute box with a ribbon on it, it was small and a little heavy so he placed in on top of the table. Lumapit ako.

"Open it" he smiled and hugged me from the back.

I opened it slowly and I was shocked on what I saw.

"OH MY GHOD KA!!!!!!" I shouted and carried the cute puppy. It has a pink ribbon on its head and it licked me on my face. "Oh my god. No you're so pretty!!"

I said as I kiss the top of the head of the dog. Please I wanted to have one so much this is the best thing I have ever received.

I can hear feli, lani & mashi’s laugh not to far behind us but i ignored it and continued to adore the puppy.

"I knew you’d love her. Amore(Amor), baby, meet your mom" Jaehyuk said and kissed the head of the puppy.

"Amore?" I asked.

Jae smiled and kissed my forehead. "I adopted her from the dog shop na pinuntahan natin dati, I named her Amore because it means love in French. Amore will now be with us as we start our journey to our future" He smiled. "Things will now be though but she will be our reminder that everything will be okay. She’ll be our source of happiness"

I smiled and looked at Amore again. "Mom and Dad loves you so much, we’ll take good care of you, Mi Amor"

Jae kissed me on the cheek again and we both held Amore with our hands.

"So ano to?" sabi ni Mashiho kila Yoshi.

I was behind him, hindi niya pa ako nakikita. Nandito kami ngayon sa garden ng bahay nila, it was quiet. Tinulungan ako nila Jihoon and nila Chari na ayusin ‘to for my surprise kay Mashiho! Isang linggo naming plinano ‘to.

"Boo!"

"What the—" sabi niya at napaharap sa’kin. His face lifted up when he saw me. "Hey!"

I laughed and hugged him thight.

"What’s all this, bub?" he asked.

Wait paano ba ‘to? hindi ako marunong? Itatanong ko na ba agad? Ay teka maglolong speech ba ako? Tinuruan ako ni Jihoon kanina pero parang wala na akong maalala?? What the hell ano ‘to exam? Mental block?

Alam mo bahala na. Kaya ko ‘to.

"Can you be my boyfriend?" I asked. Tumawa siya ng malakas. "What?! Nakakahiya ah! Ang tagal kong hinanda ‘to?"

"I’ll answer yes. But can I also do it for you?" he asked and tumingin sa’kin.

This man, I missed him so much. He grew a little bit taller and a little muscular but his eyes is still the same. It’s making me fall deeper.

Tumango ako, answering his question earlier.

He smiled and pulled something out of his pocket. It made my eyes big and about to cry.

"A promise ring" He smiled and showed it to me. It was silver and it has a heart shaped diamond. It was pretty. Hinawakan niya yung kamay ko. "I promise, I will never go away from your side again. I love you, Pauline"

The tears that pooled from my eyes now started to fall. "Kainis ka! Surprise ko ‘to pero bakit naging surprise na pra sa’kin?"

He laughed. Sinuot niya sa’kin yung singsing and then kissed my hand with the ring softly. "I love you, girlfriend"

He placed his hands on my waist and I wrapped my arm around his neck.

"I love you" i said.

He leaned over and kissed me on the lips, it was long and I can feel that he really missed me. He paused and giggled.

"I missed you"

"I missed you more" I whispered.

He resumed the kiss again. This time it was short since they already shouted that they’re already hungry. It made us laugh.

Tahimik lang akong naglalakad sa tabi ni Mashiho. He looks so sad pero tahimik lang siya. I held his hand and that made him smile at me. Although that smile isn’t a happy one. It’s a sad one.

I think I know the reason why we are here. Tinignan ko yung dala kong mga bulaklak. I bet this is for you.

Tumigil kami ni Mashiho sa harap ng isang niche. He smiled. "Hi Mama. It has been 5 years since you were gone. I miss you. I brought someone special with me to meet you. Ma, this is Pauline"

I was right. Ngumiti ako, I never got to see her in person but her picture here, she looks so fresh and mashiho got his beautiful eyes from her.

"Hi po. I’m Pauline"

"Hmm, ma, tandaan mo yung kinukwento ko sa’yo nung nasa hospital ka pa?" he asked, like waiting for an answer that will come. "I remember pinagalitan mo pa ako non kasi sabi mo kaya mo naman sarili mo bakit pa kita pinuntahan. Bakit ko pa kailangang ighost ‘yung babaeng mahal ko"

I was shocked. So this is the reason why? I mean bakit hindi niya sinabi sa’kin agad? edi mas maaga pa sana kaming nakabisita?

"Si Pauline ‘yung babaeng ‘yon, ma"

I remained silent. My heart is beating fast. Kinausap pa niya si Tita while I listen to his stories, some of those, alam ko na since he told that to me too. Tumatawa rin ako pag may nakakatawamg kwento siyang kinuwento. Or magsasalita rin ako kapag humihingi siya ng second opinion. His eyes were already red like he was about to cry.

Mashiho looked at me before talking. "Pau, Ma, pinapapunta ako ni Tito sa Canada for 2 years because he’ll train me. I’m the heir to the company and gusto ni Tito na siya mismo magturo sa’kin" Nagulat ako. He didn’t tell me this. Although sinabi niya na may tito siya sa canada. "Is it okay if I go?"

Biglang humangin ng malamig sa may side namin which made me and Mashiho laugh. Tita is really here with us.

"Thanks ma! Mag-iingat ako, promise" He said. Tumingin naman si Mashiho sa’kin ngayon. "Pau, maiintindihan ko kung magagalit ka." He held two of my hands this time, without breaking our eye contact. "Actually umuwi ako dito pra mag graduate and magcacanada na after para sana dirediretso na yung pagtrain ko sa company. But then you came into my life again. You made it happy and less boring. Pero, papayag ka bang mag canada ako? 2 years lang naman! 2 years"

I cupped his face while tears started pooling from my eyes. "You kept this to yourself for 5 years? When you could’ve told me? Maiintindihan ko naman Mashiho." I said. "I know how hard it is to lose someone special in your life." I hugged him thight. He hugged me back too.

"‘Wag kang mag-alala okay? I’m not mad! Go to Canada bub! It’s a big opportunity! But promise not to ghost me anymore, okay? And update each other all the time" I said. He escaped from our hug and smiled. His hand is on my left cheek.

"I promise. Thank you, bub" he smiled. Tumango ako. He leaned on my face and planted a kiss on my lips.

Believe it or not, this is my first kiss. And I’m glad It’s him. My one and only.

"I love you" he said softly after the kiss.

"Tsaka na" I laughed.
