Love the x files because half the episodes are just a guy getting murdered and Scully will say "ok he was shot twice in the chest," and the Mulder comes over and goes "actually he was killed by a pair of shapeshifting aliens that can take on the form of a bullet and have been known to kill people by shooting them in the chest. Here's an x file from 1935 on it." And then he's fucking right.

first youtube analysis i've wanted to watch voluntarily

something that truly haunts me is ran's hair in detco. when you look at volume 1 i'm convinced gosho drew her like this based on the blowout hairstyles that were popular in japan during 80s and 90s

kinda like

you also see this in other manga released around that time

like kagome in inuyasha, released 2 years after volume one of detco & the same year the detco anime started

but, as with many anime, ran's hair got stylized a bit in the show & later gosho adapted this as well for whatever reason

though nothing takes the cake as much as the anime's modern art style that takes away most, if not all the charm of ran's original design :(
