(After watching Workin Boys)

My headcanon is that the Richie and Grace friend dynamic is very much like a sibling dynamic in that they bicker a lot, have no overlapping interests except school, they drive each other nuts, but they hang out a lot because it’s just like an automatic response. They’ve been doing it so long it’s second nature to just hang out. Maybe they went to church together when they were kids or had the same babysitter or something. And they just stuck together. Realistically they wouldn’t be friends and they are very outwardly annoyed with each other (Grace calls Richie and his interests Satanic on a daily basis) but they just automatically do so much together. Deep down they are good friends and find comfort in the fact that they always have the other around, even if they don’t consciously realize it.
